Worked great! I was able to recover a majority of photographs on a CD that was 15 years old and showed signs of deterioration.

On a 16-year-old backup dvd there was a mysterious problem because it looked clean but would not play. Trying to make a copy in MS Explorer the copy process would hang about 10% of the way in. So I tried this recovery software and it identified an area of 90 MB that was bad. It took 4 hours to copy this area. The copy would play in VLC but showed tearing images in the bad places. Desperate, I polished the problem disc where I suspected the bad data to be, using a very fine cutting abrasive. Then it worked without any problem! Maybe there was some age-related microscopic crazing? I suggest the software should be able to report the type of errors it sees, so the user can take appropriate action and save time.

I could not believe this tool worked and was easy to use and actually did recover from a disk that had been erased or otherwise showed as nothing on it! thank you so very much! I am amazed and it didnt cost a single penny'

programe is so useful.

Good. it works. While windows default copy stuck at 88% but it able to copy the whole disc and video is also playing. crazy good. can't believe and generally don't write review but it means a lot

This program didn't work on a large PST file. It identified everything, after taking close to 5 hours to do it, but upon multiple attempts, and following all online advice, running the program repeatedly froze my entire computer. I had hoped this would be a less expensive solution, but when I bought Stellar, the entire project was completeld perfectly the first time and in less than an hour. Then when I approached the company about it they tried a million different ways to avoid issuing a refund for their product that didn't work. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and get the Stellar product. It's a 5 star program. THis one is a TOTAL POS and their company doesn't stand behind it which should tell you all you need to know.

I offered the Stellar information that you see in their reply and they wanted things I do not have. After the program failed, I deleted it off my system. Who keeps failed programs around? These are just excuses not to refund the money for their ineffective product.

Don't waste your time or your money on this program that they don't stand behind.

Excellent. Retrieves files from old recordable DVDs that cause Windows Explorer to choke and lock up completely, and does so quickly without any fuss. Microsoft should have bought this and incoporated the technology into Windows years ago.
