If I could give zero stars I would. This product infects your computer and you cannot get rid of it. If someone else uses it, you will get a devious misleading email saying you can click to read the meeting report, then you are stuck with an account you cannot get rid of, and it will start up at every zoom meeting you have and you have to enter 'read stop' to stop it, but it will never leave.
I cannot believe that Zoom has it as an App for their product.

This is a virus and should never be installed and furthermore Microsoft should remove from their store. It embeds itself into your tenant and starts showing up on calls with staff who dont even have licences through aggressive marketing. It requires people to create an account to view the minutes of a meeting they attended and then wants access to their email.

BEWARE - this is worse than a virus and impossibly difficult to get rid of. DO NOT even read a report since that gives it access to your meetings, your calendar etc.

I am a client a year already, I am satisfied with the recordings and the insights. However, the AI tool is quiet poor and sometimes it has glitches but not identifying the the speaker...

A colleague from another company had the kind thought of sending me a Read.ai report of a meeting we both attended. I tried to access the report. I was forced to create a 'read only' account before I could access the report. This seemed annoying but not unusual. But then the software required to link to my calendar and there was no option NOT to access my calendar. So, I was being forced into a trial account of using the software when I only wanted to read a donated report.
I will not use such badly behaved, intrusive software when there are much better alternatives available.

Soprattutto non fatelo accedendo da un altro profilo (Google, Microsoft, Facebook, ecc.), Entra nelle riunioni di Zoom, Teams, ecc., senza permesso, anche in quelle siete invitati e non partecipate, vi mostra agli altri partecipanti come mittenti di e-mail che non avete mai inviato, senza chiedervi più il consenso. I was a previous client but canceled due to poor software and bad service. Recently, I discovered Read.ai somehow recorded one of my Zoom meetings even though my subscription was canceled. When I tried to access the recording, I was forced to pay, and after paying, the feature didn’t even work. Within minutes, I requested cancellation and a full refund, but support refused to refund a couple of dollars for a service that completely failed.

What’s even worse? No help, no response to fix the issue, and email after email went unanswered. Why were they recording my meetings after I canceled? That’s beyond concerning. This company provides zero accountability and zero customer care.

Run. Do NOT use Read.ai. They’ll take your money, ignore you, and leave you with nothing. Hands down, one of the worst companies I’ve dealt with.

This software is basically a virus. It installs without permission, proceeds to record teams meetings without permission and attempts to replicate itself to all other users in your enterprise. Extremely unethical company.

They are sending viruses and may be tracking your activities. So beware guys.

It's a proper virus. We were in a call with 200 people, and 1 guy connected in with this tool. And now everyone gets an email from this company. What an utter mad scammy company.

⚠️ $400 Lesson: Read AI’s Misleading Pricing Model

I signed up for Read AI thinking I was paying $39.75 for a single user.

That’s what the pricing box says—“$39.75 USD. Per user / per month.”
There’s a note at the very top of the column that says “Requires 10+ licenses,” but at no point does it clearly spell out that you’ll be charged for 10 users upfront — $397.50 immediately.

Let’s be real: that’s intentionally vague.
How is the average user supposed to know that “per user” means you’re locked into 10 users minimum at checkout? I thought I was paying for one seat. I wasn’t.

To make matters worse:
🔹 I haven’t used the product at all.
🔹 I explained that this was for a non-profit project.
🔹 I shared that I’m currently out of work and can’t afford this hit.

Their response? A flat “No refunds. It’s policy.”

No grace, no empathy, no accountability. Just expensive confusion backed by rigid policy.

If this is how Read AI does business, I wouldn’t trust them with my data or my dollars. Double-check everything before you click “Get Started.” Learn from my mistake.

USA based company that is basically AI malware. Not GDPR compliant!

We are in the process of removing this virus-like product from our company. A single user installed it and then without other users explicitly agreeing to install it, they found it had installed itself on their accounts and was joining their Teams Meetings without invitation.

On the face of it the tool looks good but the way it spawns itself across an enterprise is alarming.

Our experience is consistent with the other negative view on here (currently 85% rated 1).

Ps/ Beware of the 5 start ratings. At least two of the reviews appear to be employees pretending to be customers - it seems including the CEO. If this is indeed the case, then if you're going to leave a fake review at least be smart enough not to use your real name

I had issues accessing my meeting notes/transcripts (it’s kept saying I wasn’t attending the meeting). The coaching wasn’t available on any of my calls. I filed a support ticket but they wanted screenshots which I didn’t have (nor have time to get). On June 17th I was charged for read.ai’s annual subscription AGAIN! When I reached out to them again asking for a refund of the now TWO enterprise level plans they had charged me for and NONE of the paid features (or unpaid) were available and then to recharge me for one of the accounts assuming the features worked. They told me they could refund at the prorated amount for ONE of the accounts. I have followed up 4 different times now and have nothing to show for it. The last two have been completely ignored. Use Notion for $20/month and save yourself the headache. My company was evaluating options and has purchased year long subscriptions from multiple providers and my experience is the worst by FAR.

Absolutely abhorrent company. Preys on the less tech-savvy users to intrude and collect data.

What started as an astonishing example of AI ingenuity in one of our meetings that involved a paid user, resulted in insertion into all of our company meetings without consent.

We first experienced Read.AI when a professional consultant joined a teams meeting. Didn't pay much attention to read.AI which joined shortly afterwards, and once the meeting was completed... was pleasantly surprised to receive a transcribed summary of the meeting in email which explained the tone, and summarized the first few interactions.
HOWEVER, in order to read the full meeting minutes, one has to register AND allow full access to the users calendar. I quickly rejected permissions and went on with my day.

Unfortunately another user in the organization was not as informed of the repercussions of this permission request, so before she knew it, read.AI was joining all her Teams meetings.

The worst part about this is that EVERY user in those meetings were receiving the same "Convenient" email summary, seemingly trustworthy on behalf of our organization and being LURED into registering and providing calendar permissions in order to access the report. This creates a chain reaction of intrusive spying and data collection into potentially sensitive meetings while luring in further users and repeating the cycle.

THIS IS DISGUSTING AND DAMAGES THE REPUTATION OF COMPANIES AND VICTIMS OF ITS PREDATORY WORKINGS.

A partner company used Read AI and I got a post meetign email to say I could access the notes. It forces you to create an account and connect your calendar. This is a highly intrusive way of bringing unwilling new users to the program and is very suspect. If they want to access a partners calendar to discover my email and send me an email, I should be able to access the meeting notes in an incognito mode and decide for myself to accept or reject their terms of service.

Detto che ci sarebbe molto da dire sull'analisi del sentiment/engagement che viene fatta a valle di ogni call e rispetto alla quale nessuno dei partecipanti viene messo a parte (alla fine ciascuno pensa sia solo un tool di trascrizione delle chiamate e supporto all'invio di minute e recap ma quando entri ti rendi conto che il tipo di analisi proposta è davvero inquietante)

Like others have said. It is like a virus. It is set to auto join meetings without the user being given the question to grant it such access.

Pide muchos más permisos de los que serían necesarios. Es como mínimo sospechoso.

A little more pricey than some meeting notetakers, but also one of the most sophisticated ones I've used.

Pros:
- Sentiment, engagement, charisma, talk time, and word per minute analysis.
- Video highlights and trailers in addition to the full video recording.
- Can ask questions about particular meetings or all of your meetings, making it easier to ask questions about entire groups of meetings or finding a meeting you lost.
- Excellent UI

Cons:
- Need to purchase $30 per month plan to have video recordings, and they only go up to 4 hours.
- Transcription is okay but could be a little better
- Site doesn't have dark mode
- Doesn't have the ability to bookmark or tag points in the meeting like Fathom has, but forgivable considering everything Read does way better.
