Company censors and omits bad reviews
Long story short, I ordered face masks where they buried in a huge amount of text on the product page that the mask type cannot be worn behind the ears and must be tied behind the head instead. I went back and forth with them and they refused to resolve this. After seeing the sort of people they are, I just wanted to leave a review to protect future customers from going through the same thing. My review was never posted. I reached out to them one last time about the missing review, and they claimed reviews are automatically posted. My review contained zero offensive language. I specifically worded it in such a way so that they couldn't possibly justify censoring it, and yet they have censored it anyways. I started looking across all their products and the absence of critical reviews made it clear that they implement a disingenuous product review system. This is a company that operates dishonorably, no matter what they reply to this if anything, just go see for yourself the absence of genuine critical reviews and avoid shopping here.
I give them 5 stars and here's why
I give them 5 stars despite having 1 poor experience and here is why.
VERY few companies are offering REAL organic options and when they do they charge EXPORBITANT prices. Rawganique is VERY up front with their business model, they work to provide quality goods and make an okay profit. It's the American way and it's amazing at providing good quality goods.
I have ordered a LOT of stuff from them including 10 organic cotton masks back in Janurary (which are AMAZING at blocking dust NOT a virus. To be fair top viralogists confirmed over and over that NONE these masks will stop a virus including the plastic China death masks, they've always been called DUST masks for a reason). I also ordered an oriental style pajama set, several sock and boxer styles all in LUSCIOUS organic cotton that caresses my sensitive skin. I have some organic hemp shorts and underwear that I do not recommend but they are exactly what I ordered no deception involved as I've seen others accuse them of.
Other companies offer easy replacements because they sell their product at 300% profit in order to pay for returns, they don't hand make them, a machie makes them. Human error is part of life. It is good.
So now on to my negative experience.
I ordered hand made hemp shoes. I gave them my exact specs in a note attatched to the purchase. They came slightly too large. That I am upset with. I emailed them to try and exchange them for a smaller size but by then I had accidentally splattered bleach on them in one of my manic cleaning episodes.
They refused on the basis that they sell to people who are extremely chemically sensitive, a bit of a poor excuse in that regard considering the bleach would have been far removed, however considering the sircumstances and the splatter pattern on the black hemp shoes. I have to respect them for their decision.
I kept the shoes because the oversize isn't visibly noticable and I still wear and love them, they turn heads, people notice them, the hand made natural materials (all the down to the copper shoe string ends that will never fray, crack or disintegrate like plastic) are evident and people notice.
I will purchase some soles from the company as soon as they become available again in order to make up for the slight undersize and will likely have these shoes for decades to come. Who knows I may even pass them down to my children someday :)

Too vague
If you've not been pleased, it could be the expectations from descriptions used in marketing. It's an ongoing battle to discern truth in advertising.
If you want linen made entirely in Europe, it must carry the Masters of Linen label. The company must be certified by this group.
Masters of Linen® is a registered mark. It is a sign of excellence for linen that is entirely made in Europe, from field to flax fiber, from yarn to linen fabric. The label is governed by the European Confederation of Linen and Hemp, uniting flax farmers, linen artisans and weavers.
Fact, is most linen grown in Europe gets shipped to India/China and then sent back to Europe (or not) for the sewing.
And read the differences between European Flax linen and European Linen. One is not as pure as you would think. Belgian linen is another hijacked term and you must be careful. The real stuff will be certified.
And French linen (metis)is a trademarked term that has nothing to do with being grown in or made in France. It is the mix of 50/50 cotton/linen that has been around since the early 1900's.
I've found exact 'look-a-like' examples of the hemp pants on Etsy and they are being sold by a UK shop who says straight up, they are coming from India. (Just saying). I don't KNOW that to be true here and I'm not accusing.
I asked once if the French linen on site was actually a grown in France fabric or the trademarked linen I've just described. She answered by telling me it didn't matter as they weren't growing their linen in France anymore. Vague indeed.
I ordered the 100% French linen underwear only to find a cotton crotch. (I avoid cotton which is why I looked for 100% linen). Couldn't return as it is personal item even if you didn't touch.
Vague indeed.
Beware vague answers. It is condescending and assumptive regarding our intelligence.
Buyer Beware!
I was interested in the fleece eye mask and wanted to know what kind of dyes they use in the black mask. I got a very vague answer. So, when I replied asking for more clarification, I got an auto email saying that their company gets way too many emails and that I should be able to answer my question in the FAQ in that email. Of course, it did not answer my question. So I had to go back to their site and ask a question in their email response form. I got another vague response back. And when I tried to get clarification, again I got another auto reply email.
After reading the several one star and two star reviews on this site, I'll be looking elsewhere. It does seem to me that the company responds but it's always with excuses and never any true honest forthright answers.
chemical free or free of harmful chemicals?
There are only 3 things that are NOT chemical in nature on our planet. Those are: sunlight, gravity, and the by-products of nuclear decay! Ordinary water (h20) is a chemical! All plants consist of chemicals. You should change your claim of ‘chemical free’ to ‘free of harmful chemicals’!
Purchased a Stravinsky Long-Sleeved…
Purchased a Stravinsky Long-Sleeved Organic Linen Knit Shirt (RG5880) and a week later after payment was processed I received an email stating product in size and color was sold out. The offer was to choose a different size or color. Why does your site offer items not in stock? Even after I was contacted the same item in size and color I chose is still shown as available. Why not refund my payment or simply not process payment until item has shipped. Now I the customer is the one inconvenienced due to the neglect of this company. First and last time shopping here.

Rawganique Elmsbury Hemp Bed Sheets
The fitted sheet lasted a little under 2 years. It has become threadbare and extremely worn, complete with holes, in an area about 18 inches by 18 inches. We estimate it was washed fewer than 70 times. It was cared for meticulously according to the instructions provided. The sheet was used and washed exactly the same as the pillow cases. The sheet changed colour quite dramatically compared to the pillow cases.
When I contacted the company to tell them about the surprisingly early wear I was told, "hemp being a strong (tensile) fiber does not imply that it necessarily outlasts conventional and often much cheaper materials." Nowhere on their website do they include that particular piece of information.
Unfortunately, my experience with these sheets is that they are as disposable as any cotton ones I've had.
My experience with customer service was that I was presented with a list of excuses of how they could not be responsible and I was not listened to about my experience. They were told directly the sheet had never seen a dryer. In response I was told, "dryers are inimical to natural fiber sheets, and hemp is more vulnerable to dryers than most fibers," and "the same sheet or towel or clothing item that one person can use for many years, will not last long with another person if it’s put in hot electric dryers..."
I was offered a $40 voucher but cannot see a reason why I would return to this company for any of their products.
***********
In reply to Qeanu at Rawganique's response to me below...
The sheet was not "used intensively" it was used normally as a bed sheet is used. Washed weekly in rotation with other sheets. The sheet was meticulously cared for according to their instructions. It was not exposed to strange substances.
The "demand" for a replacement sheet was precisely this:
"I understand you can't offer a lifetime guarantee and that your company made no promise about the lifespan of the sheet. I'm not quite sure what is fair here. I do not feel like I received what I paid for. I would appreciate a replacement fitted sheet of either hemp of linen. If my expectations were unrealistic, I would appreciate an explanation of why your product has failed."
All of their communication to me has been extremely defensive and mostly unrelated to anything I have told them.

Excited to have found RAWGANIQUE...Sense of Rawness-Quality Fabric...A Mission I can stand behind...With excellent products!
As an owner of 2 small businesses (ah juice organics & ascendinghealth) I deeply appreciate Rawganique's work, their integrity, challenges encountered with growing, and their unfaltering commitment to their mission-contributing towards creating sustainability (and all that it encompasses). A magnificent vision on a limited budget-beautiful--and comes with a tremendous workload which I suspect is the reason reviews are anything less than 5 stars. (That and the unrealistic corporate expectations of many)
..Tank tops (organic cotton-natural color) rawganique label-nice raw looking fabric. Nice to wear-different cut than I am used to-tighter in the ar pit area.
..Hemp Sheet set-excited for them. Again very raw feeling fabric, dense, heavy, and rich. First time for pure hemp sheets-feel a little stiff before laundering-apparently soften and warm over time. Chose to try hemp because described as the longest wearing when compared to cotton, and linen. Twice laundered now and they feel great-solid material and nice crepe like feel.
..V-Neck T-Shirt (Organic cotton-Aquamarine color; Amecrian Apparel Label) Nice weight!
Had some discussion with the owner-very engaging, helpful, and wanting to please.
OVERALL VERY HAPPY THAT RAWGANIQUE IS THERE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Great quality
Will order again
Great products and customer service!
I recently ordered two pairs of shoes and 8 pairs of socks from Rawganique. They were able to guarantee via email in advance that their products didn't contain chemicals I'm allergic to (Carba Mix), hence my choice to purchase their products. Of 15 other companies I contacted, they were the only one that could guarantee this!
Email correspondence was prompt and friendly. When I ordered my shoes/socks, they were received in a timely fashion.
The quality of their shoes and socks are great. I plan to order more from them soon. Furthermore, I'm a relieved that I finally have footware I'm not allergic too! That's one very large point for 100% natural handmade products, and for Rawganique!!
The shower curtain that I ordered is …
The shower curtain that I ordered is lovely. The quality of the material and the construction phenomenal. Very pleased with the product. In fact I am ordering 2 additional shower curtains to be used as drapes for my bed door.

Rawganique Review of Shredded Spa …
Rawganique Review of Shredded Spa Towels 27jul17
Anyone who knows me well, or who is even connected to me here on FB, can attest to the fact that I am NOT someone who takes to social media to air my complaints about products I purchase, online or otherwise. On the contrary, I am someone who takes his complaints directly to those involved; and in recent years, it seems to be happening more often than not. Yet, there are those rare exceptions whose circumstances call for just this setting; and this is one of those times.
I have been ordering organic hemp and other organic-fiber clothing and products from Rawganique in Vancouver, BC, Canada since around 2009, if not before, and have always been extremely satisfied with my purchases. Let me also say that it is not very easy—even in this day and age and in a saturated market full of phony online startups claiming to offer eco-this and natural-that—to find truly pure clothing, footwear or other accessories. Not to mention, they usually come at a comparably steep price in many instances. So, you get what you pay for, I guess.
However, after recently purchasing nearly a dozen items from this company, I’m sad to say that my experience was anything but ideal. First off, the shoes I ordered (after very careful and lengthy consideration) were, of course, out of stock in the color I ordered online when it came time to ship. So, after receiving an empty email with only a one-line note in the subject field asking me whether I wanted to replace them with “Black or Natural?” despite ordering Brown, I reached out to the customer service staff and reluctantly chose the Black, while also proposing that they add on a pair of (discounted) footbeds with my order, for the inconvenience.
If you’ve dealt with Rawganique in the past, you’ll know this kind of issue can take days to resolve, since they are not only slow to respond to emails, but their outgoing answering machine message will tell you they do not like to answer phone calls—again, keeping up with modern times, eh? I didn’t hear back from them after a few days—as, I was later told by their owner, Linda, that it was Canada’s National Holiday that week, and things fell through the cracks. It was a Monday when I got her on the phone (my initiative, not theirs) to verify they’d gotten my email and voicemail asking for their cooperation in the exchange.
During that call, it felt like I was being talked down to like a child by the owner herself, who only turned on that sickening kind of fake charm you get when someone just wants to get rid of you as quickly as possible. You know what I’m talking about—you don’t have to be a psychologist to recognize those kinds of mind games that many business owners, and people in “positions of authority” generally, like to play. I, for one, choose to not engage with this kind of phony baloney when I see and hear it, as it frankly turns my stomach.
Anyway, Linda finally acquiesced to my request for the footbeds and swiftly hung up the phone, after saying the package would be shipped that day, which I do not think they were until days later, but cannot confirm. Ok, fine—some people aren’t meant to handle customer service calls, especially with those like me who do their homework and have every right to be upset before making such a call.
My thing is this: if you have items out of stock, then TAKE THEM OUT OF STOCK on your website. Right? Don’t play the old bait-and-switch, the oldest game in the retail playbook. I even told her this is one of my all-time pet peeves, as someone who orders most of my personal goods online anymore. She agreed and said they were “a small company” and were “looking into hiring someone to specifically handle that very issue.” I’ve heard that many times before and frankly, take it with a grain of salt until I see it. Who wouldn’t?
When the items arrived, I was super-stoked to unpack my package, which was shipped in a USED BOX from “Oxford Press” ???; so much for “purity,” eh? Seeing this, I knew everything would need to be washed before use, as I am someone who is quite sensitive to environmental pollutants. All the items were accounted for, by the way, except that I still cannot confirm the free (extra-thick) footbeds were the right ones, as they have regular and extra-thick, and these didn’t seem “extra-thick” to me. Nevertheless, beggars can’t be choosers, as I’ve so often been told in life, so I let it go. But this brings me to the real kicker of the story.
Among the items I purchased were two 15”x25” Spa Towels made of primarily organic hemp with organic cotton on one side. (See attached labels) I bought them to use in my sauna treatments, which rightfully would imply they would be washed over and over again, no? How many times do you think someone who takes sauna baths would need to launder their towels? Pretty frequently, right? And, who hand-washes their towels these days? Except, maybe those like Linda who live off-the-grid on an island in ritzy Vancouver, one of the highest priced real estate markets in the western world. Yet, I digress.
Well, having no idea what kind of mistake I was making, and despite following the Care Instructions provided in my box (pictures attached), one small load of light-colored clothes and towels turned into a lint-covered pile of white fluff that literally spewed out of the dryer at me as soon as I opened the door. I was mortified. And, although you can’t tell from the attached images being so light-colored, there are all kinds of loose threads now hanging form both of the two towels, which I’m sure will only get worse over time.
Not only did I think I’d done something wrong by washing them with older clothing items, including towels, but I am still scratching my head as to how anyone could think such a product would be in any way ideal for use in sauna bathing. It literally took me three separate washes and hours of dry time yesterday to get most of the lint off my clothes, and the towels I’d washed with these two new ones are probably now ruined, because after all, who wants to dry off with a towel that’s going to leave your body covered in lint? Seriously.
I guess, overall, since the shoes do fit and the hemp backpack is one of the cutest bags I’ve ever bought, I should be grateful that the transaction turned out as well as it did. But, my main concern is that, for years now, I have been telling all my friends and family how wonderful this company is, as well as their products. Unfortunately, given their strict Return Policy which disallows the return or replacement of any product that has been washed (see attached picture for details), I am out the money for these items and still unable to use them.
Let me ask you: How would I have foreseen this lint bomb effect prior to washing the items in the first place? The issue literally arose out of no fault of my own, as I washed the towels in cold water on the Gentle Cycle, and then removed them from a cool-cycle dryer before they were dry, exactly as instructed by their enclosed care pamphlet. I get that they’re trying to cover their butts, but this sketchy lack of transparency and disclosure in business does not endear frequently returning customers, like me, to shop their store again in the future.
I hope this issue gets the appropriate amount of attention here on Facebook, enough to motivate Rawganique to consider all I’ve shared and to make the changes necessary to win back my trust and faith in their business model. If they are such a “small company,” with the extensive line of products that they currently offer, I’d say it’s high time they invest in more help, for starters.
In good faith, Craig C.

Purchased the Sateen sheet set
Purchased the Sateen sheet set. It was very expensive so I was expecting luxury sheets. What I got are coarse-feeling, very lightweight sheets that I'm guessing won't hold up very well. There's nothing about them that I would call a sateen finish either. In addition, the standard pillow cases are about 4" too short for a standard pillow.

Customer not first.
I've had several business interactions with this company over the years.
It has gone smooth when there isn't an issue with my purchase, but every time there is a problem, customer service is terrible. It has become very clear to me that the customer is not first, but that the company puts themselves first.
When there is a defect or a problem with the product, they try to deny responsibility, and make the customer pay for return shipping. This has happened multiple times for me. The only reason I still buy here is because they have an item I need that I can only buy from them. Otherwise I'd never shop here again.
