Too good to be true!?!
Too good to be true!?!
Over a year ago when I saw this watch I thought with those specs it's too good to be true, but because of the low price and the fact that it has Lewis and Clark on the back and I live at Lewis and Clark headwaters in Montana I went for it. Well it's been over a year now and it looks brand new. Love the sapphire crystal. The thing that really blows my mind is that the time is only been less than 5 seconds off. That's crazy good! The only thing I changed was the watch band to a French military band. You just can't go wrong with this watch. Watch my short video and see how good it looks still today! Much better than I had a right to expect
I bought the Ratio Street Racer more out of curiosity than anything else. I have a couple of very good (and expensive) Swiss watches and a couple of very good Japanese watches, and I even have a watch custom made for me in China, and I was curious about whether the Ratio watches could really be as good as some reviews I read indicated. I was also curious about what a watch made in Singapore might be like.
The chronograph Street Racer has a much more solid and refined feel to it than I expected, and is very comfortable on my wrist. No rough edges on the bracelet or case, and no feeling of flimsiness at all. One of my Swiss watches is all titanium, and although I really like the watch I find that the light weight of the titanium doesn't feel right to me, and I prefer the heavier stainless steel of the Ratio. I love the way it looks (although my wife thinks it's ugly - which proves it must be beautiful), and of course it keeps perfect time. The chronograph is actually automatic rather than quarts, so the second hand sweeps like an automatic when it's turned on, rather than clicking from second to second like a quartz mechanism. Frankly I'm not a watch snob, and I don't care one bit how the second hand moves, and I don't get excited knowing there are mechanical gears inside - but I know that's important to many other people. To me the most important things are that it keeps good time, feels good on my wrist, looks good, and holds up over time. The Ratio checks all the boxes, although I can't comment on durability yet because I haven't had it long enough. I know that a watch company's "heritage" is important to many people, and I have to admit that I have two watches I bought mainly because I found the companies' histories fascinating. But it makes little sense to me to tell a company working hard to produce an outstanding product that I won't buy it for another hundred years or so when it has more history behind it. Rolex doesn't need my money, and I can satisfy my historical curiosity by reading about its history, and I now prefer dealing with small companies for nearly everything I buy.
Overall the Ratio watch exceeds my expectations and it surprised me by instantly becoming my favorite casual watch.

So Much for So Little
The watch delivered was exactly as described and shown on the website. That is always the concern when you order online. When it arrived I was so excited and worried at the same time.
Once I sized it and put it on I was surprised how comfortable it was. I wore it for a week straight just to make sure it was that comfortable and it was. Fit form and function were great. I’m happy that they have many colours and styles because I don’t think I’ve bought my last Ratio watch

I bough the Quartz Mint Green diver 200m model & I can’t stress enough how happy I am with this watch !
I used to be purist (automatic only) - yet -
Quartz (I’ve learned since the PRX & the I.N.O.X pro diver, in my collection) is a fabulous piece of engineering & is perfect for “in a rush”.
So I’m so happy with the thinner model I bought!
To be honest - when the watch arrived I could hardly believe !! /-> it’s a
200 metre proof diver (with a screw down crown) !! (I didn’t see that upon purchase)
& now, more so -> I’m so utterly blown away by the price! (How did they do it??)
I had been looking for something like this since Rolex released the Pastel shades
&
This so ticks the box! The Mint Green at a 40mm dial is so perfect!

No refund, no good...
I ordered a watch from Ratio back around Christmas time, set up the return - fair play to them they provided the shipping label for a free return - but it was delivered back to them on 2nd Feb and as of 6th March no refund and only automated replied to any emails I send to them that "they're busy and will get back soon" but no actual replies for over a month is rubbish.
I obviously have the right department as they replied about the return and send the returns label etc, but once they have the watch back nothing!
They state a No Hassle 60 Day Returns in their terms but can't trust that now.
If you really want a Ratio watch then never use their website, use CreationWatches or somewhere else that actually has a good customer service department and can be trusted.
Never buying a Ratio watch again and will send a new email to them every day until my refund is given...

Unreliable watch and terrible support
I bought a brand new "Ratio II Professional" watch directly from Them. The watch started losing time randomly.
I contacted them at their contact @ ratiowatches.com and reported the issue and then shipped the watch back to them for refund or a proper replacement within their 60 day warranty time frame.
After over 3 months of their excuses I still had no watch, no replacement and no refund.
Here is the initial contact and excerpts of my email interactions with their staff:

Watch exceeds expectations
Watch exceeds expectations! I like the shape of the crystal, the applied indices, and the lume. Bracelet is quality as well (not stamped like Seiko). An applied logo would have been nice. Also, thank you for not putting screw locks on the pushers (as Rolex does with Daytona).

Quality timepiece-rivals those costing two or three times as much
Pros- Have not had the watch off my wrist much since receiving it (which says a lot-I have a rather large watch collection- frequently rotating my top five favorites) Accuracy is spot on. Quality bracelet, stainless construction, mineral glass, self winding movement. I admit to favoring white faced watches-a minor comment-this one might benefit in the low light legibility department by making the hour and minute hands dark or black-the hour hand sometimes gets washed out against the white face in low light conditions. I will certainly consider Ratio for future purchases.
Con-a week after ordering, ran across it on Amazon for $28 less (includes free Prime shipping)

It is a pretty watch
I received the watch right away and it is a beautiful watch that is comfortable to wear and has kept good time so far, but I have only had it a week.

Quest Field Watch…
The quest field watch is a high quality watch with high quality metal, a good movement and sapphire crystal. I was looking for a field watch that wasn’t another timex and wasn’t an overpriced luxury brand and the Ratio Quest was a hidden gem.
