Nearly 3x the real price, zero support when something goes wrong
My partner purchased a train ticket through Rail Ninja and accidentally selected the wrong direction. A simple mistake, and one that would have cost $14 on the official rail site. Rail Ninja charged $40 for the same ticket: nearly three times the actual price.
When we contacted support to correct the issue or get a refund, they refused to help in any way. No exchange, no credit, no refund. For a ticket that cost them $14 to issue, they kept the full $40 and offered nothing.
This is a third-party reseller that pays Google to appear above official rail websites in search results. If you don't realize you're on a reseller site, you end up paying a massive markup for the same ticket you could buy directly. And if anything goes wrong, you're on your own.
Save yourself the trouble. Find the official website for whatever rail service you need and book directly. The prices are lower, the customer service actually exists, and you won't be stuck fighting for a refund over a simple correction that any reasonable company would handle in minutes.

So stressfree booking months ahead and letting Rail.Ninja procure tickets
My experience was great in that I was able to book months out from the tickets actually being available. That I could put in my request (first class, front facing, window seat) and know that rail.ninja would do their best to make it happen (which they did). Gave me peace of mind to know that they were able to do it as soon as the tickets became available, less stressful to me than if I had had to work out the timing of availability and then book myself. Also, and since I don't have a Korean credit card, it was so much easier paying in my home currency through this website, rather than the hassles of trying to work out how to pay the KTX site. Others have mentioned that it costs more than the actual going to the train website for the ticket, but I didn't find it to be that much extra, and for the convenience to me, worth it.

Misleading and scammy cancellation information
Their mobile site purposefully shows a green check next to the words Modification and cancellation deadline 48 hours, even when a ticket is not modifiable or cancellable. This is clearly a scam to confuse the purchaser as to the nature of the ticket being purchased. There is no phone number and the bot is slow and non-responsive. So frustrating, have already told my fellow traveller to avoid this site

Looks straightforward but…
Although the website does feel straightforward the booking process wasn't. If you wanted to make a change and back arrowed you had to start the whole booking process again, I got there in the end though.

Very easy to choose which train
Very easy to choose which train - although I booked once and then cancelled when the booking came up and said “complex route change trains in Casa Oasis” and then saw that’s the only way to get to Marrakech on every other train . It was easy to rebook. I have the app which is very easy to navigate.
