Great software and low cost
The software is great for reverse engineering. It has a lot of tools and it's constantly updating. The cost of the software makes it good for personal or small business use.
They even offer a free trial to see if the software is for you. Overall its great.

Best software for reverse engineering
First of all, the software is great. Really. The last version, QS2026 as I write this review, is really mature and grows everyday. It allows me to go faster than ever with reverse engineering. I use it on a daily basis for a while now and it gets better each time you get an update.
But most of all, the team is always there for you when you need help, or advices : some explanations are.given, even with recorded videos.
You are never stuck with Quicksurface!

Game Changer
Absolutely awesome software ! The Extract Primitives features are a huge time saver in my workflow, and the Fit Surface on an organic curved Surface done in seconds, instead of a 2 -3 hour tSpline operation in CAD, is a total game changer for me.

Probably the best price/performance ratio of the market
note : i'm a reseller but i'm doing 3d modeling and reverse engineering since years. I had access to many solutions, and this is my genuine rating about QuickSurface.
In brief, QuickSurface is affordable and got very great and convenient tools for making your reverse engineering based on 3d scanned data.
Recently, the software has been upgraded to PARASOLID kernel which makes it even more robust in term of complex geometries generation.
I know QS team since half a decade now, and they are very dedicated to improving their software and giving the best user experience. You will find facebook group to talk about your project, tutorials on youtube, that helps to "demistify" this complex domain which is reverse engineering.
Regarding the software itself, the development is very active and there's constant updates, whether it's for bug fixing (sometimes in just one day they fix the bug you report) or adding new tools and functions, or enhancing the existing ones.
Quicksurface is focused on reverse engineering, but you still have simple tools available for treating your mesh, like decimation, quick alignment, hole filling, mesh separating, merging etc.
You have different possibilities for your modeling : autosurfacing, hybrid modeling, or parametric, which let you adapt to any objects, whatever you need to fit freeform or make sketches and extrusions.
As an reverse engineering expert, i recommend Quicksurface because it can help anybody to start doing simple reverse engineering very quick. For advanced / medium complex reverse engineering, the arrival of parasolid helps a lot.
And for advanced and very complex modeling, the constant updates and tools development just give confidence for the future.
