Booked flight Brs to NYC , and they changed it 2 times from morning departure, to night departure then back to morning departure - each time the LA / NYC leg was not adjusted automatically so had to ring and sort it out - 1+ hr wait each time to get through
Took flight QF55 from Bris to LA - no entertainment system fir the whole flight. Just not good enough in this day & age and no email to apologize.
Qantas does not fly to NYC at the moment so you get off loaded to another career for the LA/NYC leg if you book Bris to NYC .. American airlines for the LA/NYC leg was great but Alaskan on the NYC/LA return leg was terrible
Also told to arrive 4 hours before our flight QF56 - yet checkin counter is not open until much later so had to sit & wait
The Bris/LA leg currently leaves in the morning ; and the LA/Bris leg back also leaves in the morning .. morning is a terrible time to leave, as makes time adjustment super hard. The night flights are much better / convenient. Hopefully Qantas will re-enstate these

This company can't even manage its internal, Australian flights without mass cancelations and delays. I'd certainly never trust them to fly me long-haul.
I asked their customer service team a question online and still, 7 days later, it remains ignored.
Still waiting on refund for flight after 6 months
My partner’s flight, booked through Qantas, was cancelled in December 2021. After spending a lot of money on Skype calls, writing to them multiple times and submitting an online refund form we are STILL waiting on a refund 6 months later. We also had to wait on hold for 2-3 hours every time we called them over Skype to try to figure this out. I’ve never experienced such pathetic customer service from any company in my LIFE.

Jeg fløj med Qantas fra London til Darwin t/r i april og maj 2022. Det var den bedste flyvetur, jeg nogensinde har været på. Trods de knap 17 timers flyvning var personalet - uanset tidspunkt - venlige og opmærksomme. Under hele turen opretholdt de en fantastisk service. jeg kan på det kraftigste anbefale Qantas.
Qantas Disapointment
We booked to fly to Perth, Australia in March. Prior to that, we had intended to go out to Perth in February but because of the border closures, our flight was cancelled and we had to change dates. That resulted in additional costs for purchasing new tickets which included a direct return flight. Our outward flight was very good, but whilst in Australia, we received several emails from Qantas, each one, changing the flight times with no exlanation which was not ideal. We originally had paid for a direct flight to London Heathrow and it was subsequently changed to a flight via Darwin. Instead of a comfortable evening flight it was going to be an early morning flight which meant we would have to get up around 3.00 a.m. and also lose a day's holiday with our family. On arrival at Darwin there would be a seven hour stopover before our 18 hour flight to Heathrow. We felt this offer was not feasible and would make the overall travelling time exceedingly long. We decided to change our flight to Emirates which was an evening flight with a short stopover in Dubai. This did involve further additional costs
to us which we feel should be refunded by Quantas. Although we have tried, It is almost impossible to contact Quantas by telephone as you have to hang on for hours getting nowhere. My wife and I are frequent flyers with Quantas and feel they should have contacted us with an explanation for the changes to our flight and a refund or credit for future flights to Australia for the added inconvenience and additional cost incurred.

Yes it's long and does get arduous for the final quarter of the flight, but the aircraft was in good order, kept clean and tidy throughout and the seats are very comfortable.
For me the direct flight is the best option and the best value for Australia East Coast.
Cabin Crew were most friendly and helpful throughout.
Food was plentiful and very good.
Snacks and drinks were always available.
Wasn't best pleased to get bounced with very little notice to Singapore Airlines for the return journey - the weight problem (over booking??) didn't sound very convincing and the seat allocation for the full journey wasn't secured by Qantas. I know somebody has to sit in the centre seat, but I really prefer not to.

We don't intend to stay at the airport for 2 days. Operations issue from their website and now our trip is affected by this mistake.

Expensive mistake by qantas but no way to get through to them
I was so excited to finally book flights to Perth to see my parents after more than two years. Then Qantas changed the flights to via Darwin, which made the trip too difficult to manage with my autistic son.
AFter being on hold for more than 4 hours I got through at 9.30pm on Tuesday 17 FEb and spoke to tina, it took her over an hour to arrange a refund. I finally received the refund for my ticket on 10 Mar, but still no refund for my son's ticket (£1254.76). I’ve tried ever since to find out what has happened but I keep getting cut off despite being on hold for hours. I tried sending DMs on Twitter. I’ve now received an email saying the refund is complete which is clearly wrong. I desperately want to book a trip back to see my parents, who I haven't seen for over two years. But I can't book it while Qantas still has my money. I can't keep spending hours each day on hold and being cut off but there is no other option to get in touch with them. This has been so awful to deal with when all I want to do is get back to see my mum and dad.
Just fly with someone else
Similar experience to others. Qantas cancelled my flight and gave me a credit. The email provided a phone number to call. It just rings and rings and then the line is disconnected. I have been emailing Qantas since October 2021 and no response. It is basically theft and - subject to using my credit (assuming it actually works) - I will never use this airline again.
Credit voucher unusable, no customer responses
I purchased a ticket directly from Qantas in late 2019 and because of COVID, needed to cancel my return flight to Australia in 2020. I was given a credit voucher - worth a flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne (that’s what I was told on the phone and later confirmed via email).
Somehow already then - someone accidentally messed my ticket (first they gave me a credit voucher worth of 0$ by accident, then they corrected that to a credit worth around $430, and finally they corrected it to the original promise when I canceled the ticket - to another credit worth a flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne). Now somehow nobody cannot find the reference number in the system.
I have however probably tens of phone calls and emails proving that this is accurate.
Then the voucher was extended first with one year and later on until Feb 2023 to be used, and I’m now trying to use it for flight around 15.5.2022 from Los Angeles to Melbourne.
I’m trying to fly back to start my PhD, which I was suppose to do in March 2020 originally.
I have been trying tens and tens of times to reach out a customer representative at Qantas over the phone and with numerous emails. Only in the past week, I have been on the line on the phone waiting for approximately for 2,5 hours per day and when I finally get through and explain my case, the phone call always somehow (magically) cuts off.
I have started to ask for the staff to send me an email in case this will happen again but I have never received a single email nor have I been able to book my ticket with the credit voucher that I currently have.
I have called to several different numbers (in Scandinavia, US and Australia) and during some of the phone calls - the customer representatives have only told me that they cannot help me and that I should fly from my current location (Mexico) to either Dallas or to Los Angeles to physically go to the office desk to be able to book my flight with my credit. I really don’t find that fair since I still have no guarantees that I will be able to book the flight.
So far a very unpleasant and energy-consuming experience that has gotten me nowhere.

I paid PREMIUM price (Compared to other airlines) for the purpose of convenience for my elderly parents to travel from India to Sydney as Quantas had a direct flight from Delhi.
2 weeks before travel they were due to travel the flight route was changed and a stop over was added. It increased the travel time by 12 hours. There was no other way but to accept the changes. When I tried MULTIPLE times to call customer care I was never able to get through. They are always experiencing high calls and wait time is 1 to 2 hours. One time I waited for 1.5 hours only to have been automatically disconnected. Now my parents have no choice but to take this horrendous flight.
Please beware. They offer routes that dont exist and then change your route without consent.

Non-existent Customer Service
Paid for direct flight Heathrow to Perth on 4 April 2022. They arbitrarily changed my flight to fly via Darwin on the day WA announced the borders would open to international travellers increasing my journey time by y hours with inconvenient take off times. Have spent 5 hours on the phone with no answer, cannot change or cancel my flight because the "server" is constantly down. THEY ARE RUBBISH - NEVER AGAIN QUANTAS

I had my original flight changed. Instead of flying from London to Perth via Darwin , It was changed to London to Perth via Darwin and Melbourne. This meant an extra 15 hours journey time, which was a bit too much for me! After phoning customer service for 1 hour 40 minutes, I eventually got through . My flight was changed to my satisfaction, providing I flew 1 day earlier . Thank you for making the change without charging me extra - much appreciated!
