Rubbish & Idiotic Customer Service …
Flew business class from Perth to Manchester, sadly it only turned out that it was business from Perth to London Heathrow. Ticket and boarding pass showed business class.
The lovely people at Qantas customer service didn't even acknowledge this was an issue and gave some excuse that because delay on 1 hour no compensation. Missing the entire point - COME ON GUYS
I fly out from Brisbane to Gladstone…
I fly out from Brisbane to Gladstone every week and every flight leaving Gladstone is delayed. Why can't you stick to your schedule? If they have the same issue every week why not change the departure time?
Every week I waste time and money with you.Unlike your mob, I don't get paid to be in the airport. I'll forfeit my ticket if I get to the airport late, where's my compensation because you can't keep to your contract of sale.No penalty enforced on you. Once is understandable but every time is just arrogant. Get your act together, this is supposed to be first world country.
Another story of a flight not refunded
Another story of a flight not refunded. Cancelled the returning leg of an international flight and was told by Qantas we would be refunded $1200 for each of the two flights. Refund has never materialised. Complaints led to generic correspondence saying our case had been considered and there is no reason seen to change the outcome (i.e. no refund). No reference to the flight booking, reference number, previous conversations with staff. The customer service from this company is beyond reprehensible and only possible in a company which effectively cannot go out of business.
Impossible booking system
We were trying to book multiple flights on the Qantas website and chose our flights and seats, including some options we were offered for upgrades. Unfortunately, before we got to the payment page, an error occurred. We telephoned the Contact Centre and they were unable to book the flights for us and told us to contact Customer Care for help. However, Customer Care said they cannot help with bookings and to telephone the Contact Centre! Obviously, we are going round in circles here, so we have booked with a different airline. What a shambles - ALTERNATIVE AIRLINES ARE AVAILABLE!!
Extremely disappointed
I was extremely disappointed with my Qantas flight experience. Despite booking two months in advance to visit my parents in Adelaide, the flight was canceled two days before departure. The only options provided were inconvenient and resulted in a shortened visit and a poor seating arrangement near the toilet. This experience significantly impacted our holiday plans and left us feeling let down by the lack of responsibility shown by Qantas.
Where is my money?
Where is my money?! They changed the schedule of my flight so offered my a full refund within 7 days. I wait 7 days and no refund. They then tell me it’s up to 4 weeks now?! 4 weeks go by and nothing back. I call up again and try to tell me it’ll take 7-10days to get an update?! This company seems to be a scam. Bear in mind this is a lot of money, interest is high, I have other payments I need this money for. What kind of scam company is this?!
I had the best flight: London to Singapore
I had the best flight, I could have ever asked for. The flight to Singapore was amazing and the staff put me to ease. It was my first flight as a wheelchair user and my first flight in three years. They took care of me and Bobbi, informed me of the aisle chair they had on board, Jimmy was very attentive and helped me going to the toilet. The two ladies: Jo and the other lady helped me to navigate. Also, the young guy with tanned skin and very well kept (I think his name began with a T) assisted me when I was in pain. The only minus, was I would have liked more options for gluten-free snacks. But the journey was wonderful and I only wish that Qantas flew more destinations. Definitely will be back with Qantas soon. (Sorry, I can't remember your names but I appreciated the help from all of you).
I had to cancel a Melbourne Sydney…
I had to cancel a Melbourne Sydney return flight on points because my Mother passed away. At the time I thought 122,000 was excessive given those points flights were 16,000 not so long ago. Qantas are now saying there's no refund. I plan to cancel all Qantas related credit cards, frequent flyer programs, and will never fly with Qantas ever again

The pilot announced on speakers which was hard to hear what he said, because of old speakers, (A 333, ..24 year old) "smooth flight" instead was half way light to moderate turbulence.
On Tullamarine another 25 minutes on tarmac waiting inside the aircraft as we landed in Atlanta or Chicago with 700 flights to be ordered. It was only 4-5 aircraft.
There is no other major company in Australia, Qantas is monopoly company, otherwise I think no one will travel with you guys anymore....
I booked a flight from Christchurch…
I booked a flight from Christchurch international airport to Delhi airport. On the expedia they didn’t mention anything about transit visa. When I reached at the airport they refused me to check in. I asked them to refund according to them I took refund from expedia and when I had a communication with expedites they said I need to ask the refund from Qantas. I mentioned them I am on visitor visa, jobless and don’t have enough bank balance to rebook the ticket. No one heard my voice what I was saying to them.
FIRST & LAST with QANTAS
On entering the plane our first setback on all four flights was that the overhead bins above our seats and close by were full, we just managed to squeeze my husband's small backpack in one after squashing up some other bags already in there but unfortunately I had to stow my small bag under the seat in front of me, not ideal on a long flight as this takes up legroom!
All flights were very cold!
Now we move onto food and drink:
DRINK
LHR – SIN White wine selection, I was offered Riesling or Chardonnay. The flight attendant could obviously see the disappointment in my face so offered to check in the galley and came back with a nice Semillon to accompany my second choice meal.
SIN – SYD Once again only offered Riesling or Chardonnay so this time I did request Semillon, off to the galley he went and came back with Semillon but made it clear to me that this was the last glass available!
SYD – SIN Yet again offered only Riesling and Chardonnay and once again I requested the Semillon to be told that only Riesling and Chardonnay were available. I then requested a glass of sparkling wine only to be told that they had run out! As I am not a red wine drinker I ended up having a vodka and tonic with my dinner which I do like but not usually as a meal accompaniment.
SIN – LHR Didn’t bother asking for a wine this time as too much hassle just stuck with a glass of water!
MEALS
On all four legs of our trip our first choice meal was never available!!!!
SYD – SIN I chose the chicken dish as second choice, when I had been served my husband then requested his second choice of chicken only to be told that the last chicken meal had been served up to me! All that was remaining was the vegetable curry which he did not like at all so I ended up giving him a piece of my chicken! Shortly after things had been cleared away we were then told that they had found some more chicken dinners! By this time it was all too late we just wanted to try and get some sleep.
SIN – LHR Breakfast. I didn’t fancy cooked so opted for the Continental which they did have, however when my husband requested Continental we had raised eyebrows and a huff and puff from the flight attendant! This was obviously because she had none on her trolley and had to go to the galley. After this she then began ramming the trays so hard towards the back of the trolley that it forced the door open the other end causing all the waste and dirty crockery to shoot along the aisle!

We only ever received a menu on two of the flights but they were a waste of time as we were never offered an apéritif, never offered Cognac or Liqueurs, Dessert or Fortified Wines not even a hot chocolate!! Also was never offered a mid flight snack on any of the flights as stated on the menu or snacks and drinks from the self serve bar as stated above.
We have received better service in Economy on other airlines. The service on QANTAS all the way out and back was appalling, shoddy and a total shambles. We feel we have been totally cheated by QANTAS!
No Roo
Just got moved onto another flight because this flight has a safety issue from Brisbane and now I'll get home well beyond any way of getting home. They told me I need travel insurance. And they have offered zero compensation or solutions or even simpathy. They claim to be the Australian airline but behaviour is like any other big corporation. I will think twice before booking again. Maybe that Canadian owned airline might treat us Aussies better next time.

Travelled from Singapore to Brisbane,
On arrival collected 2 of our 3 cases, waited & waited but no show on the 3rd case, then had wait in a the very long queue of Qantas passengers also missing luggage, have been given a file reference number, and told it should be here in a day or two.
The biggest frustration is that you can’t talk to any one in the phone and on line just says still searching for it .
After a long flight on an uncomfortable plane this was all we needed.

I have recently flown back from Australia
I have recently flown back from Australia with Quantas and have to say that there is so much lacking on these flights since the pandemic. There is a serious lack of connectivity and communications from the crew staff with customer. It may be me but I was left feeling dissapointed about the whole thing, they came did what they had to do and were gone !! Now on a long haul flight correct me if im wrong knowing they are there and availble makes a comfortable journey. I didnt see any inbetween offerings for drinks or snacks very limited!
I didnt enjoy the food going out so swapped it on my return journey for vegetarian - my fault entirely!! but I have to say awful, thinking fruits, vegatables etc how wrong could I be it was pretty disgusting. PASTA which I am not a lover off anyway the breakfast sat in a sloppy juice and was just a mush so for most of the return journey I didnt eat anything that was served. Totally dissapointed as the flights were not cheap you would expect better from such renowned airlines.
My next trip I will have to re-think what airline I will choose as its not the first time I have been totally disappointed with Quantas.

Worst airline ever
Worst airline ever. Cancelled both outbound and inbound flight London - Sydney. Rebooked flights which were both delayed over 4hours both ways, traveling with 2 toddlers couldn’t imagine a worse off experience for parents. To top things off no staff around to help check in bags in sydney, massive queues, people putting hands up for help but nobody around, utter chaos, then when trying to find help the Qantas staff are rude and obnoxious, same rude attitudes on the plane, no other airline is like this. Being Australian used to choose Qantas but we’ve made a family decision to never fly them again.
I would know how an extra bag can cost…
I would like to know how an extra bag can cost more than my flight ? When other airlines are so much cheaper $600++ for extra 25kg it's unrealistic .I live in bali and have to leave half my things in Melbourne

Well, well, well. I will NEVER fly QANTAS again. This airline has rubbish customer services. They cannot be trusted. Alan Joyce was paid $11m per year to drive this once proud airline into the ground.

Here's a cracker: multiple emails informing me of a flight credit/refund. Two hours in a permanent loop resetting passwords and going to some 1950s-style homepage to ... refill the password we just sent you (which doesn't work). OK call 13 13 13. Can't this system be better? Common Qantas.
