I needed to maintain my REC First Aid qualification so I booked on to a course with a huge smile on my face knowing that I was to spend a couple of days in fantastic company, eating fantastic food and in a spectacular location. I was not disappointed. The standard of the training given was pretty excellent too! It's just a shame I can't manage to wangle another trip in the near future! Loved it.

After spending a week in Scotland with PYB I would highly recommend the Scottish Winter Classics course to any aspiring mountaineer. Great accommodation, food and top quality instruction. During the later part of our week the weather conditions became very warm and it was increasing difficult to find SAFE winter routes, however the instructional staff used the time productively by visiting the indoor ice climbing wall, undertaking rescue training and dry tooling on a near by crag. Thank you PYB for a great week.

I always love doing courses at the Brenin. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Instructors are very knowledgable and deliver to a very high standard. The facilities are clean warm and the building has a certain authentic and historical charm.

Good place to stay for outdoor activities. Very good walking instructors and convenient to have accommodation, food, instruction and equipment all easy to access in one place.

From the top quality coaching, to the accommodation, to the beautiful food, to the extra facilities and attention to detail such as lockers and showers available on your last day for when you've checked out, I couldn't have asked for more. Would highly recommend plas y brenin as a venue, and the canoe training specifically. Sid and Pete we're brilliant!
