Great coffee, order process as easy and delivered on time

I've lived in Glasgow for 60 of my almost 67 years on this planet and decided to give Pure Roasters a chance as they were pretty much on my doorstep.

One of my pet hates with Roaster's is the lack of data, either on their websites or indeed on the packet. Some who won't even tell you the roast level and use non-industry standard terminology, Less or More Developed, expecting us to just.....know what they mean. At least Pure Roasters have data on their site.

I purchased a Gift Set of four 150g bags from Pure to try and work out which one I might want to convert to Kilogramme bags as I do with my current subscription with another Roaster that I kept returning to.

One thing that has been a constant, until now, with the other six roasters I've tried over the last three years, when I moved to Freshly Roasted, the Roasted On date. This Gift Srt has......nothing. I don't know when they were Roasted or Roast Level from the pack.

Is this because they are a gift set? Surely you want those to be the best to encourage future purchases from a potential new customer recieving the gift.

Three of the packs are Medium roast and one Medium Dark, but you wouldn't know with any confidence from the package, meaning I need to go back to the website to find the data.

The Renton, Dark & Sweet, I might conclude that this one is a Dark Roasted, but it's a Medium Dark, interestingly one of my favourite roast level's in my current favourite, Chocolate Brownie blend. The Fruitmarket, Medium & Fruity, I guess Medium, and it is. But, Space Cadet, no idea and Bold & Earthy, might be Dark, again, not sure, but both are Medium.

I know it's not a cast in stone, but the Grind Size I might want to start from is informed by the Roast Level, and I'm left hunting for that data, especially when the bag is only 150g or in my case 7-ish 22g doses. I don't want to be wasting shots dialing in without appropriate on pack information.

Maybe I'm just getting to old for this, but as an engineer, I'm data focused, but shouldn't need to hunt for it.

Love pure roasters, they're coffee subscription is excellent! I've been a customer for awhile now and have zero complaints. Once you get coffee that is genuinely cared for and fresh you'll notice the difference. I wouldn't change my coffee for the world now.
