PSI is the absolute worst testing company you could ever possibly have the misfortune of working with. I’ve used most of them over the years. DO NOT try their online proctored test under any circumstance. Their parent non-profit, ETS is absolute trash. They've lost huge lawsuits regarding bad grading, false fails, racial misconduct, and the list goes on. They are costing me thousands of dollars giving me the runaround for 5-days to take an exam because their online exam failed to work. For the record I was only able to get to question number 4, but I got all 4 correct. The worst part is the Missouri Real Estate Commission only uses this provider for their broker tests. This trash company should not be an option, much less the only option. If you have a choice, use any testing company other than PSI or ETS. Then, there’s the customer service, which may be even worse than their online exams. They’re all 5,000 miles away and have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Calling them will be an absolute waste of your time. I wish I could give PSI negative stars. They’ve earned it.

Taking the test at home was convenient, but the rules were so strict that it became stressful. Not being able to touch my face or deal with minor distractions actually made it harder to focus.

I Tried taking my cosmetology theory online my 4th time. I took my last three in person one in person sent me home because there system was down as i drive 1 hr 30… They are always so booked out so i tried online to get in sooner, There is no good directions to do it online no help at all I waited 1 hr for it to load untill i gave up. the customer service is so hard to understand and they are slow… I am so frustrated and it’s definitely been a long 5 months…

ABSOLUTE TERRIBLE SOFTWARE, If u are a company refrain from using them they are terrible my exam was at 7, i got in at 9 due to their in supporting proctors and terrible management. only shout out goes to jasmine from tech support who helped me a lot. terrible terrible terrible company and software.

Good luck getting ahold of anyone once there is an issue. I got sent to an overseas call center and was flat out told they will not help me. The issue was getting kicked off of a test. When I called on the 17th attempt I was informed that a Proctor must give a reason... guess what, there was no reason. The Proctor left no notes about anything. I was 11 questions in and it resulted in a score of 11 out of 80... failing obviously. Now the only response is to wait 30 days and pay for the test again. Its gross that so many companies and municipalities use this company for their testing. Make me judge the company that is using them as much as the company itself.

I recently took my Massachusetts Real Estate Salesperson examination through PSI’s online testing platform, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely frustrating.

After I reached approximately **30 questions**, the system began repeatedly throwing me out after almost every question. I immediately reported the issue to the proctor, who connected me with the PSI IT team. I spent approximately **20 minutes dealing with technical support** before I was able to return to the examination. By then, I had already lost a significant amount of my limited examination time.

The problems did not stop there. When I reached approximately **Question 48**, a large error screen appeared stating that I needed to contact PSI IT, along with a lengthy system error number. I acknowledged the message and continued with the examination because, in my experience, the examination clock does not simply give candidates back the time lost because of PSI’s technical problems. At one point, the system had taken me back to the home page and was asking me to log in again.

I reported the entire incident to PSI and requested that my examination be rescheduled because the technical problems were clearly outside my control. Instead, I was charged another **$56 rescheduling fee**. I find this extremely disappointing. When a candidate experiences repeated system failures during a high-stakes, timed examination, the candidate should not be financially penalized for the technical problems.

What is even more concerning is the explanation that the testing vendor does not permit a refund or rescheduling under these circumstances. From a candidate's perspective, PSI is responsible for providing a reliable examination platform and ensuring that technical failures do not unfairly disadvantage the person taking the exam. Outsourcing the testing platform or services should not mean that the candidate has to absorb the consequences.

These licensing examinations are already challenging and require candidates to manage their time carefully under significant pressure. Losing 20 minutes or repeatedly being removed from the examination can have a serious impact on performance. Candidates should be evaluated on their knowledge and ability—not on how well they can cope with an unstable testing system.

I have even taken the examination at a PSI in-person testing center, and unfortunately, I have still experienced issues with the PSI testing process. At this point, I am very concerned about the reliability and overall quality of the platform.

PSI charges candidates substantial fees to take these examinations. In return, candidates deserve a stable, professional, and dependable testing environment, along with a fair resolution when technical problems occur.

I hope PSI seriously reviews its online examination platform, its technical support process, and its policy regarding time lost because of system failures. Candidates should not have to pay additional fees or sacrifice their examination performance because of problems with the testing system.

This is not simply about one difficult examination experience. It is about providing candidates with a fair and reliable testing environment for a high-stakes professional licensing examination.

The testing room was a little to cold but staff was wonderful

I've never felt so ill equiped. I was feeling confident going into that exam, based on my performance in the practice exams. I'd describe it like this: the practice material covered the equivalent of 8th grade algebra and the actual exam was 12th grade trigonometry. I was making 80s in the the practice, actual exam... 56. I literally got ever other question wrong.

I had a wonderful experience. The staff were very professional and respectful.

Terrible experience had technical difficulties when called provided number I was connected to a team member who barely spoke proper English, who I couldn’t understand which led me to be placed on hold multiple times not successfully fixing the issue. Cost me my Realestate time I was unable to take the exam due to the lack of professionalism from psi.

Should be easier to schedule an exam I drove over an hour to come take my exam and they said I didn’t even schedule it apparently I didnt confirm it but I paid and everything.

I'm disabled and would have difficult getting to a testing facility. It seems like this company is looking for any reason to terminate an at-home testing environment for the purposes of keeping your testing fee and collecting subsequent fees. Their requirement for at-home testing is that your environment "is clear, quiet and free from distractions." My was, yet they refused to let me take my test. Their support department said wait 2-5 days for a response.

The questions are great but are strictly focused on safety and infection control and have absolutely no context toward any other subjects such as skin and hair growth for example. please improve your study guides.

Staff was amazing and took care of everything!

The IRS made the switch for the EA exam from Prometric to PSI this year and it's been a complete nightmare. The nearest testing center is 2 hours away from me so I did one in person. Other than the drive it was eh. Then there was one testing day allowed to be online so I did that. I had a connection issue happen during the test and it was like it was the end of the world. I was stonewalled by support, given the run around, and told to call back the next day. Then when I called the next day they basically just said that must be inconvenient for you but get over it and pay us again.

Several separate exams were required for my credential. One was scheduled for 7:30 pm but due to PSI secure browser updates and over scheduling, the online exam was not released to me for more than 2 hours.
A proctor ended my session early and I was unable to take the 3rd of 3 scheduled consecutively. Though the exam was never released to me, PSI documented and reported to my regulatory board that I did access and answered all questions but 1 wrong (failed). A duplicate test that I’d previously passed was made available to retake rather than the one I had not yet taken. I’ve had to pay for 5 test when only 3 needed just to work around PSI system issues.
Very difficult to find a phone number for support and clearly deliberate. The technical support person was great once found. Cust svc reps are not empowered to do anything other than state someone will reach out in 3-5 business days- no one has.
You will see PSI response below. Know that I had already reached out to that email and requested response via help center rep. It has been 2 weeks with no response.
