I have used this card
I have used this card. I pay my payments on time 100%! I received an increase. Which was nice. However, I just had surgery and I’m still in recovery and I was running late On my payment and all I wanted was a two day extension on my payment. Two days! And they denied it! I just really do not understand this after 100% payment history!

This is the worst company ever ! Do not do business with them .Every month there's an issue with making my payment! This doesn't happen with any other card ! This card is nothing but a headache ! They need to be investigated and put out of business !

WARNING!! PROSPER OPENED a card for me in NOV 22. On day it arrived i called to activate and they said it was opened in error and said they deactivated it. Fast forward to me checking my bureaus when i got alert of negative flag. They have been notifying my bureau since early fall 2024 that iam past fur $39+ overdue fines for an annual fee that did not notify them i wanted yo opt out off. Calls to them do not work because i do not know my credit card number i am disputing.
Icing on the cake, my dispute to the bureau comes declined because PROSPER proves the account is accurate. Despararely trying resolve this i reported it stolen. Got confirmation text that the report was confirmed. I had hoped to get a new card so i had the number to then CANCEL CARD, you guessed it no card arrived. Now i get an email telling me that the annual fee is going UP and i have to opt out by next week. Zero other email communications since 2022. I can't even pay the flippin $$$ owed to get them to stop reporting negative activity.

Terrible Customer Service & Poor Security Measures
Terrible company to deal with when it comes to credit card accounts! I set applied, got my card, activated it, & then used it to make one purchase which involved paying for putting my dog to sleep. Afterward, I web to their website to set up my account so I could pay my bill & keep an eye on my card, then is when the trouble began.
Setting up the online account access was a nightmare. I set it up, then kept getting a message saying my password was wrong when I tried logging in. I finally got it settled and paid a payment & thought everything was good.
A few day later, I tried to use my card & it was declined! I called their customer service department, which is somewhere overseas, & was told that my account was restricted because there was a question about my ID. They had me give them my information, including my social security number, & told me my social security number didn't match what they had on file!
Next, I was told to EMAIL them a copy of my social security card via unsecured email! I told them I wouldn't do that, because that isn't a safe method to send such sensitive information, & I asked if I could fax a copy or it or upload a copy of it via their website. I was told no. I asked if there was an address I could mail it to & I was told NO.
So I went to the BBB & opened up a complaint about the situation & the company responded with a mailing address that I could sent my information to. I sent that via USPS Priority Mail & I know it was delivered 8/10/22, but when I called them today on 8/22/22, I was told they still hadn't gotten my information! I was told it take 10 business days to process such a request & to call back in two days.
It has been three months now, trying to get this problem resolved. When you call customer service, you reach a call center overseas & the CSRs speak poor English. It is very hard to understand what they are saying & they are extremely unhelpful. They only read from their scripts & can't do anything else. They say their 'internal team' is working on the problem, but there is no way to contact this 'internal team'. If you email their customer service department, all you get is an automated response saying someone will contact you within 24 hours, but no one does.
I do NOT recommend getting a credit card from this company, you will regret it. From reading online reviews, I see my problem is not uncommon with this company. Stay clear of them!

They've restricted my account for 2 months now without any notice and reason. And all they have to say regarding it is that they'll email when the restriction is lifted. The restriction took place the next day I paid their $39 card fee, this is just a scam to collect card fees and not let consumers use the card afterwards.

Update 1/28/2023 Prosper Account CLOSED! JUST don’t get this card! They are also vengeful. I filed for 2 complaints on Transunion over Prosper card discrepancies and the same day I got 2 hits to my account for items bought in another state. Same day! WHY!
Terrible experience. Credit karma has loads and loads of complaints. They tell no hard credit check WRONG! Their hard pull for me on 1/14/22 pulled my transunion down 85 points. I get a card and the app doesn’t work. So I call and they tell me they don’t have my social security number WHAT!! Hard pull on my credit proves you had my social security number. With that error the app doesn’t work. Without the right social security number they won’t answer the phone either. You have to call prosper bank to get thru. It’s a horrible experience. I now have ZERO confidence in Credit Karma, they suggested this terrible card. Took near 3 months to straighten it out. I wouldn’t get this card, it’s unfortunate I charged on it. It’s getting paid off and cut up. DONOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE? 4 different reps told me they would help me and call me back. THEY DONT CALL BACK. TERRIBLE CARD!
