Inventory does not reflect refurbishment
Saj completed the inventory report. They did not send me a copy to review before sending it onto the next tenants. A number of new items such as staircase carpets, kitchen flooring, bathroom mirrors and dining table which were purchased and installed new (unused) were marked as fair or poor. When challenged, they said I didn't tell them they were new or provide proof of purchase. However, this was not something they notified me of, so how was I to know that I am meant to provide proof of purchase to a third party company, for new items and changes made to my house, for an inventory I paid for, which I am letting to tenants privately.
I am unhappy that they have not amended the report and it is NOT a true reflection of the items in the property. The tenants signed it off, as they were reviewing the content of the report in front of me during handover and I was not going to allow errors made by this company to delay my tenants moving in. I was told I had 7 days to review and make adjustments.
The company are being purposely slow in responding to my emails and are not willing to make the adjustments to the report, which is very poor service from there side. £130 wasted on an inventory report which doesn't reflect new items which is very important as part of an inventory! Defeats the purpose in having an inventory at all.
As a previous reviewer said- "The inventory report was not a fair and accurate representation of my property and was therefore not fit for purpose." This is an accurate statement!
