Shockingly bad online purchase from PBK
The most shockingly bad online purchase experience of my life. Nothing less than an unmitigated disaster that should, but won’t, be a wakeup call for ProBikeKit management.
I ordered a set of bike wheels on 27th November 2022. As at 21st December 2022, my credit card has been charged, I still don’t have the wheels, I have paid two lots of GST due to a ProBikeKit stuff up, and am no closer to knowing if / when I’ll ever receive them or the GST refund. A summary of the blunders made by ProBikeKit in this sale:
1) They advertised a delivery time of 7-11 days at time of purchase, which was a major factor in my decision to purchase. Since I purchased from probikekit.com.au (which infers they are Australian based) this delivery time seemed perfectly feasible.
2) They displayed a delivery date of 9th December on the customer interface, until the 9th December when it was clear this would be missed as the order was still in UK customs
3) I had a very long wait to receive my import duties invoice (double the time advised by ProBikeKit) and I encountered a total lack of willingness to do anything to intervene when I reported the delay
4) They double charged me GST. The import duties invoice included a GST amount, but GST had already been paid at time of purchase
5) To help things along, they insisted on me paying the second lot of GST on the basis one lot of GST would be refunded to me within 3-5 days
6) The GST refund was not paid back even after 7 days
7) They did not proactively contact me to indicate the GST refund had not been processed due to ‘missing paperwork’. I had to lodge another complaint about the lack of refund.
8) Despite providing the ‘missing paperwork’ they again failed to refund the GST within 3-5 days
9) They informed me via FaceBook messenger that due to 'customs changes' delivery times to Australia had increased to 30 days, triple the estimate provided at time of purchase
10) They told me at time of committing to the GST refund that refund processing times were 3-5 days, but then told me several days later I should allow 7 days
11) They repeatedly assured me the goods would arrive 'shortly' when it's clear they have no idea if that's true
ProBikeKit are incompetent, engage in deceptive and misleading conduct, and have no interest in helping their customers until they are somehow forced, for example by lodging a complaint with UK Trading Standards. This is a company I will never ever deal with again, no matter how low their price, as the risk of not getting what you paid for is to high, and the absolute lack of customer service simply appalling. Avoid my mistake. Buy elsewhere.

Terrible Customer Support
I made an order but somehow I sent to my old address which was on file. I realised and raised a ticket to get the delivery address changed.
Customer support was terrible, they couldn't change the address, which I understand, but no advice on how to get the address changed, not even after me asking how I could resolve the problem... all I wanted was some advise as it has probably happened before.
Basically implied its not their problem...

Actual pedal weight 117g each. Quality product.
Pedal weight was specified on website as 110g each. Actual weight is 117g each. The box states 120g. Either way, a high quality item that holds the shoe / cleat in place firmly, but still easy to unclip. Very satisfied.
Price was good and delivery time was reasonable considering the pedals were being delivered to Australia.
