Post Office Travel Money Card Arvostelua 

Easy to use, to top up, to convert to other money, it is great.

I have a Post Office travel money card. It is simple and easy to use.

Mine is great, APP works well, just topping it u, ready for next years holiday.
My Wifes, NOT so great, APP keeps crashing as so far no one at the post office seems to be able to resolve the problem, it will not retain the card information after every close down and card has to be resynced.
Please help resolve this problem and I would be extremely happy.

I can save monthly in the currency I'm going to .

I have had a few problems trying to put money onto my card which is a worry for me. I have had to ring your help line and the first man was very helpful, also the second time I spoke to a lady up in Scotland and she too was extremely helpful and both were able to help rectify the problem. I have since put money in ok but yesterday the card would not take my money even though my Bank had verified everything. I was at my wits end, thinking I would have to ring again as your message kept saying there was a problem at your end when it suddenly showed as having been successfully concluded. I am hoping this doesn’t keep happening and that when I get abroad I don’t have any further problems.

This was my second card, which i got for my wife. Its so convenient and means you only need to take one card out in foreign countries and load it up with smaller amounts for security if it gets stolen.

Very easy to transfer money from my bank to travel card.

Sounds like a great idea until you go to pay for shopping in another country and the card is declined because not enough funds. no problem you think, I will top it up and be on my way. No you won't because it's now locked for 24 hours and they can't unlock it until after the 24 hours. When I did speak to someone after the 24 hours she was absolutely brilliant and sorted it instantly, even telling me to delete the app and start again.

Good to use in Australia and Thailand.
Now need it for Mexico except the card doesn't do Peso.
I am disappointed as I have to make alternative arrangements.

The FX card arrived quickly post order being placed and transactions updated swiftly on the app meaning the balance was easy to track, however I found the app didn’t always work in US which was incredibly stressful at times in terms of managing my balance and ability to top up.

I’ve been using my card for the last few years. I have found it very useful. It’s easy to top up on the app and really easy to change currencies if you’re travelling through more than one country. However, just these last few weeks, I have had a series of problems that have shown weaknesses in the system.

My card had apparently run out. I didn’t know because I never received a notification, like an email, for example. My new card had been sent to my old address, again with no notification that it was happening. I didn’t even know my card was linked to an address. There is nowhere in the app showing an address. Apparently, the only way to change the address is to contact the Post Office directly. I was away when I discovered all this, expecting to be able to use my card. There was nothing they could do to help me.

They told me they would send a new card to my home address within 2/3 days. When I got home a week later, there was no card. I contacted them again and they said they would send another one. Two days later, a card arrived. Yesterday, another card arrived.

It’s a substandard service. Typical of the reputation the Post Office has these days for not being able to get things done efficiently.

Had a travel card with approx 150 euros scammed in Dubai. At first Post Office was helpful and notified me about stolen funds. However, trying to recover the monies and corresponding via emails and multiple telephone calls, I have to report how unprofessional and inept the customer service department is. Every single phone call and email was dealt with by a different contact every single time. Nobody followed up and actually dealt with my queries. The matter was pushed around with no one resolving the matter. Very poor customer service.Eventually it was resolved, they refunded the money back but in Dubai currency !! After more chasing by myself it eventually was returned in sterling. I have now closed my account and requested my data be removed from their system.

I wouldn't recommend the Post Office card. I used it to make a cash withdrawal in Spain, and Spanish banks not only charged me between £7 and £4.99 to withdraw Euros (e.g a 60 Euro with drawl cost 64.99), but when i got back to the UK i found that the Post Office had also charged me for a cash withdrawal..so charged twice just to withdraw money.
By comparison last year when i used another company to withdraw Euros on their card, i wasnt charged a single cent extra...so i know who i will be using next holiday abroad...certainly NOT the Post Office.

App is rubbish if I could give 0 I would

Post office money is a godsend if you’re travelling. Prior to having one l have been caught out with banking fees for using my normal debit card. Using and topping up is easy, you don’t have to worry using it abroad, you convert the money topped up and it instantly converts the exchange rate so you don’t have to think or worry about nasty banking fees. Best of all, their customer service is 24 hours so you can call anytime anywhere is you need help or support with anything, and customer service is actually a human being you’re speaking with. Something that is dying a death these days. One of the best things you can purchase if you’re travelling hands down.

I have used a post office card for a few years now, it’s easy to put money on and to transfer any monies to another currency when travelling elsewhere

I got card so wouldn't need to take my usual one with lots of credit. 3 euro charge on tube in malaga refused. So can't rely on it and need to take main card anyway...

Ive complained 5 times since my funds were stolen 5 weeks ago. Still waiting for a refund and any sort of a reply. I now have very little confidence in travel money card
