Polygon Leak Detection UK Arvostelua 

I received an email to say an appointment had been booked with this company, even though I hadn't made an appointment. On telephoning, I was told I had been emailed in error and to ignore. However, today I have received further emails from the company to say they have attended and I will be receiving a further email with the invoice! To reiterate I never made an appointment, I telephoned to explain they had the wrong person and no one from their company has come to my property...Beware!

Having previously used Polygon a couple of years ago, they still maintain an excellent and thorough service. The report was provided the following morning and was clear and concise. Eddie remained professional and courteous throughout, very pleased with the service and wouldn’t hesitate to use again or recommend to others!

Cut a long story short, what an unprofessional company these are. I believe that they were trying to rip off the insurance company dealing with my claim. The subcontractor who was sent out did half a job lifting the damaged floor. The second half was not lifted because the contractor couldnt move a tv unit as it wasnt insured. I understand that if a second visit is required then there is an additional charge. They were looking for an excuse not to do the job. Insurance claims is big money for contractors like polygon. They bleed us dry where we have to pay higher premiums as firms like polygon rip insurance companies off.
I had a rant today with polygon and the insurance and for once, the insurance listened to me and i have been informed that their contract has been terminated, whether this is just my property or from the insurance company, i dont know. But that is what i asked for and i got it. I am hoping the insurance will take my advice and dont use polygon again. I know how the games are played. Why are we paying so high premiums because of games like this. Sending contractors to my address with zero communications, no work plans, no details of other affected properties. just turn up and hope nobody is in. Maybe another scam, they play, who knows. Rant over.

The technician concluded the boiler was at fault and not the piping system.
Followed the advice given and established the leak was from the bolier. Water leaked into the condensate drain, problem with the heat exchanger.

Efficient and accurate, well equipped with the technology needed to locate the leak under our kitchen floor quickly (even through vinyl tiles and concrete screed).

A quick and professional service from start to finish including the report being completed within 48 hours. Really helpful.

The Technician arrived in a timely manner and patiently listened as I explained the situation and shared my knowledge of the central heating system with him. He then got to work and thoroughly checked the radiator valves and the associated pipe work in a order to try and locate where water was escaping from my central heating system.

Although he was very thorough the source of the escape was not discovered but it was concluded that the leak was either in the boiler itself, instructions on how to check were left, or under a concrete floor that was too thick to allow the run of the radiator feed pipes to be visible.

An expensive way to confirm what was already suspected but still worth while.

I rate the work carried out by Polygon 100% from the initial phone calls to arrange a leak detection specialist’s attendance at my property through to the engineer who traced the actual leak. I had been told by other companies that my leak (through verbal consultation) would be too small to find. Polygon found it straight away and it was a substantial radiator pipe leak within the cement flooring. A clear and concise report was given along with photographic evidence. Well done Polygon.

I had a visit from a polygon staff member today and I found him condescending and rude. He had no interest in facts and historical damage or communication and said he knew nothing about drains or leaks. When trying to converse I found him dismissive and short sighted. On discussing with several excellent builders they said half of what I was told was wrong and not how they would tackle the issues within the property. It felt very much like he had a specific aim to please the insurance company paying him.

Pre the visit of your representative I was full of apprehension with regard to outcome and all the internal disturbance I might face on the day itself. From the moment Oliver arrived he reassured me and throughout the day kept me fully appraised of his findings and thoughts. Polite, courteous and friendly manner always. Disturbance was kept to a minimum throughout.

Found the under floor leak straight away using the tracer, dug up floor to expose the leak, cleared away the rubble and left safe, very satisfied with the work, nice chap that did the work explained everything he was doing

Genuinely delighted with the Polygon service from initial contact to resolution of the problem. The customer service was excellent. Phone operators were knowledgeable and efficient without being pushy. The leak detector arrived on time, worked methodically until he found the leak and explained each stage to us. Leak Detection – Swimming Pool
I contacted Polygon as they claim to be specialists in swimming pool leaks. The reality is you get charged either half a day £475 or nearly double that for a full day (inclusive of VAT). The engineer that came out could have had it wrapped up within about an hour, but instead fumbled about with various plugs to complete a basic pressure test, he located one potential leak but they don’t actually lift a finger or investigate it further, other than to spray a circle around the said area. They then send you a video of the test taken on a smart phone, which amounts to the ‘report’ which has no credible value with your insurers.
We also made it clear from the outset that our insurers (who are a household name) may not cover the repairs, although pools were listed under the policy. As soon as the insurers weren’t involved, Polygon seemed to lose interest very quickly and they failed to tell us their pool contractor isn’t inhouse but a third party from Yorkshire who don’t want to know unless its an insurance job and certainly didn’t want to travel south.
My recommendation to anyone with a pool that’s leaking would be to save the money on the leak detection, get a pool specialist in (if you can wait to find one) and put the money towards renewing the pipework, rather than isolating a section/repair as most companies won’t accept someone else’s inspection and you’ll only end up paying twice for someone who can actually do the job.

Emanuel attended our property to investigate a leak above the ceiling in our kitchen, after half the ceiling had collapsed.
He was very polite and courteous and certainly knew his job. After various tests and examinations he found the problem which was rectified.
I would highly recommend this engineer.
