Polk Sigma S3 sound bar - Junk
I purchased a Polk Sigma S3 sound bar 2 years ago. I always had problems with the remote control such as having to be close by inches to the bar to operate it. Sound was never good. Finally today, after connecting the bar to bluethoot and listening to music via the mobile, I was unable to re-connect the bar to the TV. I have tried every possible way (power on off - disconnect cables - swith TV off and on...) however it didnt work. Finally the sound bar went to it's natural place - the junk bin.
Don't purchase
I will advise anyone who's willing to purchase polk audio soundbar & bass speaker don't!!! I purchase one not a year ago and after awhile the speaker and bar don't connect when contact customer service you get all type of stories and @ the end you will be a loser i give 2 stars only because the time it play for that period...
I have been purchasing Polk Audio for 20 years…
I have been purchasing Polk Audio products for the past 20 years, and I currently own three sets of their speakers — two incredible bookshelf systems and one set of floor-standing speakers. Overall, they have performed remarkably well over the years.
The only issue I ever had was with the floor-standing model. I’m fairly sure I pushed the volume too high, which caused distortion and eventually blew the woofer and tweeter. I contacted Polk’s tech support, and I was impressed by how quickly and professionally they responded.
They helped me order a brand-new replacement woofer at a very fair and reasonable price. The tweeter was unfortunately out of stock, but they replaced it with a comparable match at no charge, which was an unexpected and greatly appreciated gesture.
My speakers are over 12 years old, and after replacing the woofer and tweeter, they sound as good as new. I’m confident I’ll get another 12 years of great performance out of them.
Polk Audio offers excellent quality speakers at a reasonable price, and their customer support has made me an even more loyal customer. I’m extremely happy and wanted to share my experience.

Terrible customer service
As a AV professional I occasionally need to deal with dealer support or customer service for issues related to product failures. Recently, I had a
Polk XT35 center channel speaker failure out of the box. The keyhole slots for wall mounting failed. Granted the speaker is quite heavy, but the keyhole slots are supposed to be designed to hold the weight. They didn’t. I took photos and filed a claim with dealer support. They told me they would review and turn the claim around in 48 hours. Two days later I called and they told me 24 hours. Two days later I was told it was being processed. Two days later, still being processed. I asked for a supervisor and was told they were on with another dealer and would call me right back. They didn’t. All the while I’m talking to India. Damaged speaker still sitting in the box in my office and my client still doesn’t have a center channel speaker. That is the last Polk product I will ever buy or sell.

I reached out to their customer service and they walked me through various diagnoses via a number of emails. When nothing worked, they sent me a brand new amp board with delivery to Canada absolutely free. They were not obligated to do that but they did. I installed the new board and now my basement is rumbling again with the Top Gun Maverick video. Thank you so much!

Not a review on speakers but on customer service. UK based, contacted Polk numerous times on availability of speakers and where to buy. Absolutely USELESS. No help whatsoever nor do they want to help further than a standard “refer to our website” which is. It helpful as I came from the website for assistance. Next time I change speakers I won’t be using Polk. Absolute pony service

Polk was established in 1972 and they've improved substantially since then. Recently purchased two monitor 60 series stand up speakers a center speaker and a 10" subwoofer in conjunction with a Pyle 7.1 channel 2000 watt receiver and the sound is incredible, it's comparable to being in a movie theater and listening to music is even better. Totally satisfied customer THANKS Polk!
FIOS and POLK audio incompatible
TV only has one HDMI ARC point - FIOS needs that - also POLK audio requires that - only have one port like that
Bought a pair of Polk Assist brand new…
Bought a pair of Polk Assist brand new for a steal at £45 each at the time, for a few years they were great - integrated into my Google home, sound was excellent however in the last 6 months the Polk Assist can no longer accept updates owing to its internal memory. I emailed Polk and wad told basucally it tough luck, they're old.So after only afew years of use I've had to replace them when as speakers there nothing wrong with them. I hate this economy of replacing everything after a few years its terrible for the environment and for my pocket!
What Customer Service?
The soundbar will NOT go into Auto Standby. The first go-round with Polk resulting in an inquiry from Polk asking what I meant by 'Auto Standby' so I sent them a copy of the POLK Quick Start Guide that described it. Polk replied with a copied and pasted section from the guide that I sent to them and sent it back to me!!??? My next reply was that the sound bar is not doing what the guide says!
It gets worse from there.
The sound bar sounds good but if it ever stops working I'm going to just throw it into the garbage because the Polk Customer Service isn't.

Had a full home theatre system for over a grand. Needed the subwoofer fixed. The stereo repair shop needed a schematic.I contacted polk and since I didn't have the original receipt they would not help. Basically when Polk products fail they are garbage. the worst product support I've ever experienced. Buy any brand but polk is all I can say. I'm dumping mine on craigslist.

I had a five year warranty on my speakers. My warranty was almost up and my crossovers both failed. I let customer service know but the parts were not being manufactured. They did come through with the warranty by replacing my speakers with new and much better ones. Their warranty was easy and fast to respond. Very easy to deal with. I will be buying Polk speakers again the next time I need speakers. I am also telling everyone about my great experience with them. Thank you so much.
