Really easy to find a netball league to play in. Really responsive to questions and I now wouldn't look back. I joined in with some taster sessions in August and have now joined a netball team. Having got back into Netball after not playing since school, I wish I had joined sooner.

When I started with Play Netball, the atmosphere was welcoming, supportive and very relaxed. The games are now much more competitive, and umpires can be very strict (and often quite rude!) towards players. This is fine if there is expectation that players know the rules and are confident players - this isn't always the case, though. I do feel that this cannot be advertised as 'social' netball any longer. It is not as friendly as it once was, and it is very expensive. I do not feel we get value for money. I continue to play because I love the sport, exercise and my team mates. However, I will be seeking out a more supportive environment with training opportunities. I often question the health and safety measures in place. Last week we played in extremely heavy rain, the courts were dangerous. We were told play would only be suspended if someone hurt themselves! Surely then it is too late? We have had a number of injuries on courts in the past and there have not yet been any measures put in place to rectify things.

I enjoyed the game, being a newbie myself. Everyone seemed really nice and friendly.

l have been playing netball for 45 years, even more if you count School and Youth Club but have decided at the age of 67 that league netball is not for me anymore, although l am still affiliated with my club as a sub. Play netball is perfect for me, it's more relaxed whilst still having that little bit of competitiveness. It's very good for those coming back to netball also for players like me who are not quite as fast around the court as they used to be!! l've made new friends and re-connected with old ones. Fun, enjoyable but don't take yourself to seriously.

Play-netball is too expensive at £5 for 32 minutes on court time.
Local leagues play 48 minutes on court at £2.50 per game.
Its great that so many ladies are getting back to netball but if your aim to encourage ladies to get fit, make friends and enjoy the sport you need to acknowledge that you are excluding a significant proportion of our local population.

Good, well organised fun. Weather updates can be a bit late but other than that, I always enjoy playing with this group

Lovely to play again after all these years but the umpiring needs to be improved. There is a lot of unfair and rough play that should be addressed.

Love it, a chance to not only play this great sport again but also to meet new people, get fit and have fun!

Great league with friendly teams and umpires. Would definitely recommend to new players.

Having not played netball since college, I was terrified to join an established team, as I knew it'd take a while to find my feet. I was matched with 6 other single players, and we have had another 2 join since. Everyone was as terrified but excited as I was, and whilst we're not the best team on the planet, we have so much fun, and every little victory (including not losing by miles) is celebrated together. We're improving at our own pace, and just love every game. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to get back into sport, it's fantastic.

I love playing netball in the Portsmouth Thursday league, look forward to it every week. Great fun with a great bunch of people.

Such a brilliant part of my life starting to play netball again. Love the co ordinters, the umpires and the team I have been put in are now friends for life.

Great way to start playing a team sport you've not played for years. Don't worry about your age, fitness level or skill everything goes!!

Really easy to use. Doesn't require a complicated login procedure every time so it's simple to say I'm available to play on the go!

Play Netball has made it very easy for me to get back into playing, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend joining as an individual or a group, you will find a team that would love to have you and make some great friends whilst Getting some exercise too!
