Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort Arvostelua 

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share our experience so that other guests know what to expect.

We are writing this review while still staying at Piperdam because, despite emailing Guest Services yesterday with a detailed complaint and supporting videos, we have yet to receive any acknowledgement.

The location itself is beautiful, but the condition and maintenance of the Eagle Spa Lodge have been extremely disappointing and fall well below the standard we expected.

Some of the issues we have encountered include:

* Extremely poor maintenance throughout the lodge.
* Velux windows filled with tree debris, bird mess and dead insects.
* Interior windows that were extremely dirty.
* Door handles that were loose or falling off.
* Kitchen cupboard doors that were loose and falling off.
* Floors that were visibly dirty, heavily stained and badly scratched.
* A fridge that was unusable due to a strong putrid smell inside.
* Shower doors that had come off their runners.
* Rear decking that was inaccessible because of overgrown trees and accumulated debris.
* Balcony decking covered in bird droppings, made worse by a satellite dish directly above it where birds appear to be nesting, resulting in a constant build-up of bird mess.

These are not minor cosmetic issues; they reflect a serious lack of routine maintenance and attention to housekeeping. It is disappointing that a lodge marketed as a premium holiday accommodation has been allowed to deteriorate to this extent.

We provided videos to support our concerns and hoped they would be acknowledged promptly. At the time of writing, we have received no response from Guest Services.

We sincerely hope that both Piperdam and Away Resorts take these concerns seriously, improve their maintenance and cleaning standards, and ensure future guests receive accommodation that matches what is advertised. In its current condition, we cannot recommend staying in this lodge.

Booked for a 3 night break in the lochside lodges. The lodge was a great size and location, however so run down and neglected. Dirty, badly stained carpets and walls. Curtains falling off, Don't be fooled by the lovely pictures on the website, I would avoid!!
