I'm giving 3 because for a good maybe 17 years (I think I started in 07?) I always got a survey every time I did it and I didn't have to always do the same day. It was the best survey company I had, and I always picked a cash or paypal reward and always received them. About a year ago it got harder, and now that it has switched to this new system I have tried about 20 surveys and have gotten zero of them. I even wrote because I thought there was something wrong with my account and they gave a generic answer that really didn't help me at all.

Please improve this! I hate to come back and give a zero!

I am a longtime panelist with Pinecone Research and lost over 17K points that were removed from my account. I was not advised that they were going to expire before they disappeared.

When I attempt to answer some of the surveys, I either get failure messages or messages that the survey is closed. After repeated attempts and getting the same messages, one has a propensity to not waste time trying to answer a survey. When that happens, Pinecone sends out an email to advise me that failure to answer surveys that are sent may result in termination from the program.

I have voiced my concerns to Pinecone but nothing has changed. Pinecone used to be a fairly decent and worthwhile research panel, but the quality of surveys I am receiving is definitely not what they used to be. Trying to communicated directly with customer service/support is a canned reply with no useful information.

I wouldnt even give them 1 star if I didn't have to. Ever since the new "update/upgrade" i haven't been able to complete or earn credit for 1 survey. 'Unfortunately you dont qualify' 'unfortunately this survey is closed or whatever they say. It's a big joke!

I get some invitation emails saying, “there MAY be" a survey for you (just click the link). There’s never a survey available though.

I have been a member since 2003. Back in the day, I used to get $5 per survey and had lots of product testing opportunities. It used to be a nice side egg. Now I get a lot of emails about available surveys, but when I click the link, it immediately says that I was disqualified. I've also had the lovely experience of wasting 25 minutes of my time on a survey, only to be told that I was disqualified. At this point I'm just trying to earn enough to cash out so that I can close my account. It's proving hard to do when I keep getting disqualified for every single survey.

If I could give this less than 1 star I would. I was using pinecone for 3 years with out any issues, but since they re-did thier website its gone to garbage. Ive beem bombarded by surveys I dont qualify for and the ones I am able to take disqualifies me after already completing the survey. This has happened 5 times now. I reached out to thier customer service with screenshots proving I took the surveys but didnt get paid. Thier response? Nothing but gas lighting and giving me the run around. Ive seen alot of other people having the same issues as me, but has pinecone address the issues? No, and not even an email apologizing to panelists or trying to fix the website. If they dont fix how bad the site is im going to most likely be leaving them.

I thought this site was great until they recently "updated" and changed the way the surveys work. When you got a survey before, it was usually guaranteed. Now, I have not been able to take a survey that I "qualify" for since the "update". I am very disappointed in the new way they work. I have been a part of this research platform for many years and have recommended it to many others. I am sorry for that now, especially people in the last couple months. They don't even bother anymore. I don't think I will bother anymore either. Its really disappointing....

I'm having the same experience as several others. I used to get survey invites 1-2/mo and would qualify for about 98% of them and be able to complete and get compensated promptly. Now I get 5-8 invites per DAY, and I qualify for NONE, or I get denied because the survey "is now closed", even though I received the invite only seconds earlier. This new & improved website is awful. I've written a complaint to them, almost 2 weeks ago, yet have yet to receive any response. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to quit after several years of being a member.

The Website completely changed in the las month. It is now another scam, with fake surveys and no payout.
It is now a total waste of time

I’ve had good experiences with them in the past. I just completed an entire survey and then they disqualified me after I completed the entire thing! It is so dishonest to do that without compensation. It’s theft of my data without providing the agreed upon compensation.

I am so disappointed in the new and "improved" Pinecone Research. I had been with them for years and often qualified for their $3 surveys. And yes, they did pay promptly. They were good surveys and not overly long. Since they've changed, I haven't qualified for a single survey. Not one. I have no idea why not, except my experience seems to be that of other survey takers. I am one survey short of being able to cash out and get a $10 gift card. I am really trying to qualify so that I can make that happen, and then it's "Good-bye Pinecone." This just makes me sad. They aren't going to be around long if this is how they treat their loyal base of survey takers who have loved their site.

I've been a member for many years. It has changed over time but still was fun to review products and get compensated for it. But now they have gone way down hill. Since updating their website I never get to participate anymore. I sent them an email going on 2 weeks ago. I got the automated message that they received it but no response even after I reply several times. Very disappointing

I've been part of the panel for around five years, and while my experience with them started off rewarding, fun, and reliable, the last two years have been awful.

Before a recent update to the panel, I've tried taking countless surveys when receiving them via email or app, and 90% of the time—if not, 100%—I would start the surveys and answer a few questions before it ends with a "you're not qualified" page. Week after week I would attempt to do just one survey, but I had no luck at all. Also, I would like to add the company offers product testing as one of the benefits of the panel, but I hadn't received and reviewed a single product from them for the past two and a half years, regardless of requesting it as a survey question selection on multiple surveys. Lastly, surveys used to pay out 300 points, which equates to $3.00, but the last survey I've taken rewarded a dollar; I've researched why this is and found out that surveys started paying a dollar on all surveys.

I took a break and have returned to the panel one last time after seeing its platform had been updated. While the platform looks neat and tidy with some improvements on layout, organization, and optimization, I've also noticed that surveys come with a guaranteed reward balance, and some read as 300 points. So over the past two weeks, I gave it another shot. I've taken two surveys so far, and both upon completion—regardless of answering everything truthfully and timely—said in the end that "I did not qualify—try another survey." Very frustrating. Every other survey—at least twenty of them so far—that I've been trying to work on these past two weeks keep saying "I do not qualify" and are removed from my dashboard.

I'm not sure anymore; I feel like the platform and panel still struggle to offer opportunities for their survey takers. Even when they do, it's like a slap to the face each time when one sits on the computer and goes through a fifteen to twenty minute questionnaire with honest commitment—just to receive nothing in return.

The surveys used to be few and far between, but if they sent me one, I did it and was promptly credited. Now, it's "new and improved", I get several a day but I click on them and they are either all ready filled up or I don't qualify. Every single time?! It seems several people are experiencing this. What's going on?! I asked them directly and they suggested clearing my cache files, using chrome, etc. but it was no help. Starting to feel like Pinecone is a waste of time.

This has become the absolute worst site for surveys. I used to qualify for most surveys. Now, I have not qualified for the last 22 attempted surveys. I am only hoping to reach enough points to leave this unreliable site.

Pinecone Research was my favorite survey site. All of the surveys I got were 300 points. Barely got disqualified. But the new update and change, I am very much sad and disappointed. First of all the surveys are coming at very odd times, the moment you get the email if I don't click on it immediately, I never qualify. The points values have changed also. Its 50 points or 75 points only one of them was 300 point. Now its disqualifying while in the middle of the survey saying we have reached enough people. Then why the survey started in the first place. I was able to get gift cards to buy small things for my kids but now I am loosing hope on this site as well. With the current pace I don't expect to qualify to test any products with pinecone research anymore. Its Sad. I just don't know what happened. Please go back to the same of setup.

I've been doing surveys with Pinecone for nearly two decades. They made extensive changes in the last month and they've become not worth the trouble. They've changed the payout threshold to 1000 points for starters. Good luck even completing one survey, let alone enough to accumulate 1000 points.

They are also sending me a flood of surveys and when I click on them I'm told half the time the survey has already closed, and the other half I'm told my profile doesn't qualify me for the survey. I can literally click on an email link two minutes after it shows up in my inbox and it's already closed?

I have not completed a single survey since they made these changes, yet my in box is flooded with their emails. I've responded to every email and it's been a huge waste of my time.

Maybe it's because I'm no longer a 40something and am now a 60something? My opinions no longer matter? How about just telling me outright Pinecone instead of wasting my time?

Pinecone Research has always been kind of hit or miss for me over the past eight years or so. They weren’t sending survey invitations very often, just a few times annually and that was it.

They started to send me more this year and then changed the format of their website. So now I’m getting bombarded with offers for surveys, but almost every time I click, they tell me that I’m not eligible to participate, or the survey is closed.

I have managed to get through a few surveys this month and went to cash out, but to my surprise, Paypal is no longer an option to redeem rewards.

I asked on one of their chats if I could do a bank transfer, and that was not possible either based on the vendor. I’m assuming that they mean Pinecone is the survey vendor because there is another company that manages the payouts…it’s called Tremendous.com.

I am very unhappy about being unable to use my rewards the way I’d like. I did choose a gift card, but that is not something I really wanted to do. So I’m not going to give Pinecone surveys any priority in my life.

This used to be a reliable site for surveys. I agree with the many reviews that the new format is terrible. I have completed surveys only to be disqualified at that point. Not eligible for the many surveys offered.
