I have been doing surveys with this company for about 3 years now. They have always paid what they said they would pay. Occasionally I would complete a survey and my account would not credit but as soon as I let them know via email they responded right away and corrected the issue. In my opinion they are one of the best survey sites out there with fast payout and many options to receive payment.

Pinecone research used to be great! I loved being able to test products and do the surveys. After many years I returned to find all the bad reviews are right! Rarely do they even have surveys and if they do they time out. Not a good survey site anymore.

Einfach ein unseriöses Unternehmen. Ständig Einladungen und Einladungserinnerungen und dann kommen stets nicht verfügbare Umfragen. Pinecone sollte einfach seine Arbeit einstellen und das zur Verfügung stellen von Umfragen den Profis überlassen.

Refusing to pay for completed surveys
Fully completed five surveys recently that Pinecone refused to honor. They are stealing data from members and are refusing to compensate. I complained to the BBB and they lied about my record and survey completion rate. Pinecone stated I took surveys that were "screeners" that don't pay - these were full, long surveys I provided data for and was thanked at the end for providing my information. I would never take a screener survey that indicated it would not pay if I did not "qualify" - this is theft.

pretty all written is right. 1. in summer2025, they said switching to new format. then sent many surveys a daay, i quit counting at 86 all saying dq or closed.. 2. contact button keeps spinning, cant reach them yet at 11-22. 3. i had 3 surveys in late sept to early nov. sai i had completed, but no points posted. now a mainly rip off place. only positive is now more surveys, but they dont all have the good time.reward ratio. just bad company
They aren't scamming you, but....it site
This used to be a pretty legit site, good rate of rewards in exchange for god awfully long surveys with horrible loading times. Ever since they changed recently, they just bombard your email with surveys that you somehow qualify for none. None... They have also gotten stingy with rewards, 200 points for an hour video, no thanks. Another issue I have with the surveys, most places will give you a few points for doing some, but not qualifying, you know, for taking up your time. Not Pinecone though, 15 minutes into one? Oh well, we got the info we seemed to have needed, now you don't qualify, NO POINTS FOR YOU!

They should have never changed their website. It is awful. Out of 65 surveys I qualified for 1. The old one I qualified every single time. Very disappointing! . Even if I wanted to cash out I can’t. You need 1000 points. I have 400 and I probably won’t qualify for any in the future. Go BACK TO THE OLD WEBSITE. This new one is the WORST!!

I don’t think this company has good ethics. I’ve been completing their surveys for 25 years, although over the last five years since they introduced the new £3 reward I no longer received many invites. I was notified this year my reward would drop to £3, the reward should be going up not down with how little £3 is now compared to 25 years ago. So I decided not to bother doing anymore of their surveys and I’ve been receiving more invites? I’ve had a third email stating my name is down for removal from their panel because I haven’t done any of their surveys for a while. Good! I’m focusing my attention on focus panels and other research formats that pay more money than surveys. Paid £80 yesterday for sitting on a video panel for 90 minutes. Good bye Pinecone!!!

I agree with the other reviews this site isn't like it once was. I have recently completed two surveys and received no credit. Support has been useless and didn't resolve my issue. I don't feel valued so it's time for me to move on. They also took away PayPal as a withdrawal option.

They said in both cases that I didnt complete it and I was not paid?
Worst support I've received
I've used Pinecone Research years prior and closed my account due to the following issues. I reopened it within the last few months and found that nothing had changed.
At first, years ago, the site was reliable. But eventually I never had any luck with surveys because it would load then redirect me to the Pinecone Research page, telling me I didn't meet the criteria despite the survey never even loading. I would report this to their staff, then get back a response suggesting I do things like switch to my phone, turn this off, switch browser, clear cache, etc. None of these things made a difference. And the way they have arranged their support system, you aren't able to reply to the email they give you, so you have to open an entirely new ticket to continue the conversation. But it's not much of a conversation when all they do is provide the same scripted response.
I experienced that again with my more recent attempt at the service. This time, it was almost exclusively this same glitch. I've looked it up and other people have this issue, so I know it's not me. I've switched to different phones and computers since then, and the issue is the same all these years later.
I've repeatedly messaged them to try and get help with this, to get them to recognize that their script isn't helping, that they need to look into the issue. One of the laughable things about their script is they apologize because they are a relatively new site, when the site has been around since the 1990s. It just feels like no attempt was made to help.
After weeks of this, they finally respond with a non-scripted message letting me know that they were unfortunately able to help me, so they would be closing my account. This is a lie, because they never lifted a finger to begin with. Their scripted responses were no better than reading an FAQ page. They did nothing to help, then decided to just kick me out because they didn't want to bother.
It is impossible to get into contact with anyone above the support team to report their lack of care. You're at the mercy of a limited set of support ticket topics, none of which are about submitting a complaint of their service.
It is extremely disheartening that their support team is as ineffective as having one of those AI support chats. Nothing gets solved, and the user suffers for it. The fact that there are humans doing this makes it worse because something could have been done if they cared.

I've been a Pinecone Research participant for years. It was great with plenty of surveys. Now every since the new update I barely see surveys and when I do it spends much time to only be disqualified 90% of the time now.
Went from good to terrible in two months
This used to be an excellent way to complete 2-3 surveys / month for $3/survey. Two months ago the format changed and they pushed out many more surveys some paying more but hard to qualify for and in some cases after taking a 15 minute survey disqualifying you. When you send in an inquiry, they send back the same automated response several times....not reading the nature of the complaint. Don't waste your time...stay away.

Ever since the new update to Pinecone Research I am very disappointed. I have taken multiple surveys all the way through and then not be rewarded at the end. It used to be a good platform, but not anymore sadly....

Got invited to take a 15 minute survey. The compensation was 100 points. I took the 15 minute initial screening survey not knowing that it wasn't the main survey. After that final question they said that I qualified to take the survey. Then I proceeded to answer around 100 questions for the next 30 minutes. At the very end it said that I did not qualify and I received 0 points. After that I did some math and realized that the 100 points equals $1 and even if I had only taken a 15 minute survey, which I didn't, I would have only received $1 for 15 minutes which would equal $4 an hour LOL not to mention the fact that I did take the initial screening survey they said I was qualified and then push me into the main survey area where I did actually take the survey. I just don't understand was I supposed to take three separate surveys and how many questions should I have answered to earn this dollar? The questions that I was asked for extremely specific questions about specific businesses purchase times purchase amounts purchase items members of the household their types of purchases what I thought but my opinions were about different businesses this seemed like a legitimate survey. But apparently it was a screening survey which is crazy because I can't imagine how much more specific they would have been had there been a third separate and higher-tiered survey for a dollar LOL just terrible don't bother

Formerly a decent site that didn't have many opportunities to earn, but at least was legitimate and paid as stated. Now a complete scam that has you do surveys and never pays.

No way I just did a survey for 40 minutes, thinking it was the actual survey because nothing indicated that it wasn't, and then they tell me I didn't qualify for the survey. They asked over a hundred intricate and detailed questions and had me write two paragraphs for them, in total. Free labor basically, because they still got my opinions they just didn't reward me any points. Overall not a great first impression, so this is my last impression.

Prior to the launch of their "new and improved" website, I never had any problem with Pinecone Research. The surveys came once in a while and I usually got $3 for about 10 minutes of my time. Wasn't getting rich but I had the time so why not? Now, I get several surveys a day and qualify for about one in 100 and I noticed the rewards are far less for longer surveys. After I redeemed points for two $10 Amazon cards, I was issued the first one but a freeze was put on my account until such time as it was determined my account hadn't been "hacked." Hacked? The first card came in the mail within a couple of weeks but it took me 15 (yes 15!) email inquiries and lots of bogus responses from the ever-present Karen Scott (who signs all the emails you get from this shady outfit) before I finally got the second card. It took so long and was so frustrating, I'm done with this sketchy company. I have no idea what happened, but before the "new and improved" website, I liked the company. Now, they're straight up trash.
