Pickup Music Arvostelua

Pickup has been a great experience. Lots of lesson pathways, exercises, and resources. You can submit recordings for feedback, which is always extremely helpful and informative. My playing and understanding of the guitar has skyrocketed over the past few months.

I am finally learning how to play this instrument! This is the best guitar course ever created.

This is a great pathway to learn where you are in the fretboard. It combines CAGED shapes, mayor pentatonic, major scale and arpeggios

Pickup Music is fantastic. It got me out of just playing simple chords and helped me explore the fretboard more fully. Whether it’s riffs, theory, or jam sessions, Pickup Music has it all. I’m genuinely grateful for this platform.

I am so grateful to join Pickup Music.
I am totally new to guitar, but In less than 2 months I have learned a lot and important thing is I can remember what I have learned. the chords, name of each strings, how to hold the strings, strums, play along with instructor, with the band. Even I can record a video and send to them to have an assessment.
Because Pickup music has a very organized system, structure that can guide me step by step through all lessons. I can go back to review the video again if some lesson need more attention. Needless to say Pickup Music is the best guitar learning platform. I highly recommend Pickup Music
One last thing I forgot to mention that Karl Kerfoot is a very good instructor!
Thank you Karl

This is exactly what I was looking for. I needed a course that fit my skill level going into it that wasn’t too easy, but structured to push me and grow as I advanced. I love this program!

I've been using Pickup Music for almost two years now, and I can honestly say—it’s the best investment I’ve ever made for my guitar playing and tone!
There are so many learning paths to explore, no matter your level or style. Whether you're into rock, metal, neo-soul there’s something for everyone. If you're thinking about trying Pickup Music, you have to check out the CAGED learning pathway with Dr. Molly Miller—it's a total game-changer! She makes theory feel musical and fun, and you'll unlock the entire fretboard like never before. Highly recommended!
What I love most is how each grade ends with real, hands-on application. You get to learn songs that reinforce what you've studied, and then you can submit a video for personalized feedback from the Pickup Music team. It’s incredibly helpful—and honestly, I wish I had started sooner!
My only wish? A songwriting pathway! It’s not available yet, but fingers crossed it’s coming soon.

As a professional guitar quitter, I must say that Pickup Music might be my ticket to finally learn the instrument and enjoy the process of doing so! Learning paths are well structured and there are quite a lot of tips even for more experienced people looking to get back to playing the instrument! Can't wait to explore more of what Pickup Music has to offer!

I love this website!! I played a lot of guitar at school but had picked up other hobbies and not played for a long time. Now at 37 with 2 young children I want music to be a part of our house and this app has got me back up and running. So many options, so much progression. I'm probably an advanced beginner/intermediate guitarist and there is so much content here that is out of my reach which helps with inspiring me to practice and keep coming back to get to the next level.

I can rest my positive review on 3 pillars which holds my 3legged chair ( I wont name it stool for obvious reasons) of reasoning :D :
1. They are interactive, energetic, supportive and they have gathered the cool, nice people in a community
2. There are tons of material for you to be exposed to as a guitarist and tons to learn, the hard part is to actually take the time, ,which they even help with that as much as possible, with reminders, giveaways and highlights. I also love their weekly sessions, amazing people, amzing musicians which are down to earth.
3. Value, I have been lucky to be a subscriber since 2021 and I have been lucky and blessed (or as they say rewarded for loyalty, which I secretly love) with low prices which for the amount of content I have available is a steal, even with their current prices it is worth it, but one has to be determined and you will learn a lot in a short while.

I will probably be a pickup music subscriber for life. I just wish I used it more often than I do, music is a language and will run away when not exercised, at least the language part of it. I really really really hope they stay as lovely as they are, I feel like they are my kind of people and its refreshing to see people like them running a business which really cares about their customer.

Pickup Music is an excellent platform for learning guitar. It has a lot of different levels from which you can start a journey to a higher plateau. I also love their master classes.

After years of playing guitar, I considered myself to be what I called a "cover monkey." Really good at reproducing songs, but with limited understanding of the guitar. I absolutely did not want to pay for a subscription to learn, but after struggling to find a linear way to learn through youtube videos and being bombarded by "influencer's" ads to pay for their extremely expensive revolutionary course, I bit the bullet and signed up for Pickup Music.

I am very happy that I did. In the little over two weeks that I have spent on the platform, not only have I learned a ton, but I am excited to keep learning. The amount of content on here is incredible, the teachers in the lessons are great at teaching, and, if anything, I overwhelm myself with the amount of new pathways I want to try. I definitely recommend pickup to anyone who was feeling the same way about learning guitar, but isn't sure of where to start. Alternatively, if you are an experienced musician but want to pick up a new technique, such as slide guitar, this is also a great tool!

If you're a beginner, intermediate or pro, this program is for you. I like how they display a variety of programs to participate in. I'm already on three different programs from ear training, metal guitar and bass. In my journey of playing guitar, I was stuck and didn't know what to do. Then I found pickup music online. I've only been doing this for 2 months and I can't wait to spend more time playing guitar. I never felt so relieved. This is a great experience for anyone who wants to excel in their guitar skills. I would recommend to this to anyone. These programs will have you picking up your instruments daily.

Great lessons. Very clear directions. Never a doubt about what is next.

Made alot of progress with my lead playing and understanding. I like that they make sure to make videos that are really targeted towards understanding the fretboard, not just playing

Overall, a great course.

A lot of the early material around pentatonics and techniques will feel like treading over old ground for experienced guitar players.

I thought, given that there's an early quiz on this site to determine your playing level, that a course like this might assume that some students already know the basics of triads, double stops, and so on.

I appreciate the depth of each topic, and Daniel does a great job at conveying his passion for country guitar.

Similarly excellent was Daniel's ability to teach how to apply universal guitar concepts and techniques to the specifics of country guitar. Double stops, bends, and chromaticism show up in plenty of other styles, but Daniel does a great job of showing how they can be applied to country playing.

I would sign up for a more advanced class in a heartbeat.

My only complaint would be how much time is spent on, in my opinion, entry-level guitar theory: if you've been playing for more than a year, you should probably know your triads and pentatonic positions.

Despite that, I really enjoyed this course, and would love to see a deeper dive into the finer points of country lead playing.

I love how the beginner course is integrated with fun activities and also few assignments have been given. Not too much content has been put to overwhelm the learners and jamming sessions are very fun and encouraging.
