I had an issue with the power button on my Huawei smartwatch, so I left it with this service centre for repair. After a few weeks, the watch was returned to me with the power button replaced. I paid £130 for the repair.

Unfortunately, when I got home, I discovered that the watch would not charge at all. I returned to the shop, where the serviceman did something to it and managed to get it charging there. However, when I brought it home, it still would not charge.

I was then told that I needed a new charger. I have around five chargers at home, including one in my car and one at work, and none of them will charge the watch.

So I paid £130 to have the power button replaced, but I was left with a watch that still cannot be charged. On top of that, one of the screws on the back of the watch is missing — it now has only three screws.

Nobody informed me that a screw was missing, and nobody warned me that after the watch had been opened, it might no longer be waterproof or suitable for swimming. This is especially concerning because I used this watch for swimming before the repair. Now I am worried that, because of the missing screw and the fact that the watch has been opened, even rain or water could get inside and damage it.

In my experience, the service was very disappointing. I paid £130 for a repair, but I was left with a watch that cannot be charged and may no longer be water-resistant. I was also not properly informed about these issues.

It feels like once they have taken your money, they are no longer interested in properly resolving the problem.

If you don't want to waste your money, I would strongly recommend avoiding this store.

Looking to replace my old phone i visited the Thatcham store.
Matt suggested a replacement phone for my needs.
As i was not confident in transferring the data over from my old phone, Matt was extremely helpful ( i think giving
him a bit of a challenge ) as it took a good hour to compete the transfer.
Many thanks Matt i won't leave it so long to replace my phone next time.

The previous 5 star review under my name was submitted by the staff member himself using my device. If he got 10 5* reviews in a week he would get a bonus.

So they basically write their own reviews whilst repairing your phones.

After telling me my phone had water damage and was not useable again I purchased a phone in store as the phone wouldn’t charge and I needed one for work purposes.

Two weeks later I tried to charge the damaged phone and it works perfectly.

Having gone back into store to get a refund after being mis sold. I was told there was nothing they could do and I would have to e mail head office.

So they lie about your phone condition to get you to to purchase a new one; they write their own reviews and won’t refund you after you’ve been scammed.

Stay well away from the Thatcham store.

I was experiencing difficulties with my Dell laptop not starting up properly and issues with the fan and memory error messages. The gentleman at Phone Surgery in Thame was welcoming and courteous. He plugged my laptop in and saw the start up problem. He explained the issue and said they would carry out diagnostic checks and replace the battery which was the main issue. He was upfront with the pricing, which was reasonable and advised me they would call if anything else cane up on their checks. My laptop was fixed within 48hours. On collection I was asked to login in and try it for myself to make sure I was happy. It was running perfectly and no longer making a strange noise with the fan. I would recommend Phone Surgery Thame to anyone with computer issues.

I got a new phone and was genuinely stressed about everything being moved over properly. Chap in Thatcham was so kind and helpful. I feel relieved and will 100% come back
