PGC Basketball Arvostelua 

It was great experience for my daughter. She learned a lot and enjoyed it very much. And having to attend parents night and see in her own element was phenomenal.

My daughter is an experience camper. She's 15 and has played club ball since she was 8. She went from smallest to tallest and never truly adapted the right mentality to fit her new physicality. PGC in short gave her a paradigm shift. She understands the game better. One example. She's a competent mid to 3 point shooter. However, she's now 5'11" and often underneath. In games she'll get the ball low and immediately pass it back to the parameter, often not even attempting to look for a shot. We talked about it, I showed her on video giving up easy points. Nothing changed. PGC taught her how to read those situations and gave her the confidence to make the reads. The leadership and curriculum bring out the best. She said all the other players were nice and encouraging, again, leadership. We went in Anderson, IN and the campus was nice. After day 1 she didn't like it. When I picked her up she said, 9/10 and I want to go back.

My son really enjoyed his camp experience at PGC. He did the commuter version, because he was not ready to sleep over. The moment he got there he wanted a dorm and I was like it’s too late buddy. The coaches and staff were exceptional. The food was decent but my son wanted more variety. He loved the classroom sessions, and the putting what he learned into practice on the court…

So the first day my son attended but we left half way thru because he was so bored. The beginning was meant for the kids who really didn’t have much or any knowledge of the game. The second day he watched how the classroom material taught was barely touched on the court. Instead of half in class and other half on court they did all at once so no one could move around. Also they emphasized stretching but barely did any. The concepts taught were not what I had anticipated. I am disappointed. I was looking for strategy, mental strength. It’s meant for beginners not anyone who is an intermediate or better. It’s was a costly mistake.

Great coaches who were positive and helpful. Director was excellent. My daughter had to give all the coaches a hug before she left camp. I love that they have classroom time before gym time so they can apply what they learn. My 17-year-old daughter loves camp and learned a ton! So worth it! She made several new friends and experienced dorm life. :)

The director was effective in communicating how the athletes would benefit from the camp. The coaching staff made the gym session enjoyable for the athletes with their energy and enthusiasm. After observing the first half of the first day, i would recommend this camp and any other pgc camp to any parent interested in helping their athlete develop.

Excellent detailed basketball skills ( not the usual review), but advanced teaching, with with great life lessons. Definitely worthwhile. Always something revised or new. Very up to date. Athletes have a ball in their hands individually anx get many repetitions. Not just scrimmaging

Our son attended the four-night overnight Playmaker’s Camp at Whittier College. We were impressed by the entire staff—from Coach Clinton to the observing coaches to the support and kitchen staff. Coach Brian did an amazing job motivating him, elevating his game, and serving as a meaningful role model. Everyone we encountered was kind, professional, and inspiring. The classroom sessions were also fantastic. Our son took more than 30 (!) pages of notes and has been referring to them ever since he got home. For a rising 7th grader who could use some help with executive functioning, that alone was worth the price of admission!

But what stood out most were the values taught at PGC. At Coach Clinton's suggestion, our son made a point of learning all the kitchen staff’s names. If a kid is sitting alone at lunch, players are encouraged to invite them to their table. They're taught to show empathy to their teammates when they make a mistake, and hype them up when they're doing well. The emphasis on character, leadership, kindness, and accountability was evident in every part of the week.

When our son sustained some minor injuries (always a possibility when playing at a high level), the medic, Jocelyn, struck exactly the right tone—she was empathetic and reassuring, but also firm in a way that helped our son calm down, reset, and move forward.

I won’t pretend the week wasn’t hard. Our son didn’t get enough sleep, and didn't always make the best nutritional choices, despite PGC’s best efforts. The hours in the gym would be demanding for a college athlete, let alone a middle schooler. In truth, I’m almost glad we didn’t fully appreciate how intense it would be, because I’m not sure we would have encouraged him to go. And that would have been a mistake, because he came away with some of the most valuable lessons he has ever learned.

We’re so grateful for the experience PGC gave him. It would not be an exaggeration to say that this was one of the most well-run programs our family has ever participated in. We'd recommend it to anyone.

No hiccups. It's only the second day but my granddaughter LOVES it so I'm happy😆

The experience I have had with PCG so far have been excellent. They keep abrupt about everything. The staff was great seem to be excited to train the kids. The college that the camp is held is in a great location.

The PGC staff made getting signed up for the program easy and worked to remove financial barriers from fellow athletes. They were responsive and helpful for all my questions, typical outperforming what they thought was possible and responding faster than promised.

I had my son and another one of my players participate in the PGC Playmaker College earlier this summer. The progressive nature of the skills learning and the implementation immediately through scrimmage-type play was fantastic and ensured that the skills "stuck" in the weeks directly after camp ended. The growth has been measurable in both players and easy points, along with the anticipation of good basketball plays that have come with it. Highly recommend!

As an observing Coach it was an excellent learning experience. The directors took time to speak with us routinely providing insights and clarification. The opportunity to observe the drills and how the progressions taught to campers was outstanding. The classroom sessions were equally valuable to help understand benefits both on and beyond the court.

Top notch instruction and absolutely the best environment for my daughter. She knew nobody at camp on the first day and by lunchtime the instructors would call her by name from across the gym. She made great friends as well. Her level of play, both physically and mentally, increased dramatically by the end of the week.

The week was transformative for my daughter. The coaches pay attention to your child and correct them in real time when they aren’t applying the PGC principles. The energy at the camp, the staff, the drills, it was all so impressive and top notch. It gave my daughter confidence and a renewed love for the game.

The reason my camp is as good as it was was coach Dalton I highly recommend him and he was awesome

The dorms were great and clean. Coach dalton was the best coach ever and really cared about his students. He thought us all we needed to know to become better playmakers.

Loved attending PGC! It was our first camp with them and my son had the best experience! It was well organized, structured daily activities, great energy and vibe each day! I loved the classroom sessions as this helped to teach my son how to watch film and what to critique in order to improve his skills. I loved how the staff grouped the kids based on skill so that they could be challenged and grow their confidence and ability!

The staff made everyone feel welcome! Overall a great camp! We will be back!

We drove 4 hours to both PGC camps she attended. There were closer PGC camps, but she wanted to meet people and build upon her basketball experience in different states. She made great friends and loved her time at both camps. The hear it - see it - do it approach was so effective that we adopted our own ‘hear it - see it - say it - do it’ approach to instruction at the school where I serve as principal!
