Welcome back, Juergen! As I can see, you are very persistent in writing and deleting and writing your reviews again. Here I repeat, first, my reply to your first review you put 2 days ago and deleted a day after:
1. Dear Juergen, I find it quite unusual to read your message, mainly because we were simultaneously discussing this issue with you via email. I have a screenshot of our correspondence regarding this matter, but unfortunately, here is no option to attach it.
On February 3rd, at 6:00 PM, you emailed questions about signing-up difficulties. We replied at 6:32 PM, asking for clarification on the issue. At 7:31 PM, you provided additional details. Since there were no technical issues on the webpage or in the app, we proceeded to create an account for you and sent you the login information at 8:05 PM. However, at 8:54 PM, you posted your review. I will refrain from making further comments, as I hope the timeline of events is clear to everyone who reads this.
Best regards, PGW support team.
P.S. Regarding the "small number of users": based on actual data, which is easy to verify in the App Store, we have over 26800 active users.”
And here is my reply to your mail with a complaint concerning "no tour guides still answered me":
Dear Juergen,
Thank you for your follow-up message. It’s clear that you’re deeply invested in evaluating our service, which we appreciate, as it allows us to address your concerns in detail.
First, I must correct a few of your observations:
While Google Play shows a milestone of "10,000+ downloads," it updates in fixed intervals, not reflecting real-time data. The current figure (which exceeds 26,800) is easily verified on the App Store, Google Play, and via independent analytics. Whether this is a "poor result" is subjective, but considering our niche focus (connecting tourists with private guides worldwide), we consider it a strong achievement.
As for the "necessary self-criticism," rest assured we actively work on improving our platform daily, which is why we promptly addressed your account issue and ensured you could start using the service.
Now, let me address your specific experience with finding a guide:
Since you are likely a German-speaking tourist, we recommend filtering for German-speaking guides. Egypt, your stated destination, has a significant number of active German-speaking guides.
Instead of manually selecting individual guides, we suggest using the "General Request" button. This sends your inquiry to multiple guides who match your language and destination, generating responses within seconds or minutes. It’s a far more effective way to connect with active guides.
We noticed you contacted guides listed on later pages (e.g., Page 8). As a tip, guides ranked on earlier pages (Pages 1-3) generally have more detailed profiles, reviews, and faster response times. Selecting guides without profile descriptions or communication preferences likely reduces the chance of a timely reply.
In light of these points, let me propose a solution: if you’d like, we can send out a General Request on your behalf using the message you’ve already written. This will save you time and likely yield faster results.
If your real goal is to genuinely find a guide and explore Egypt, we are here to assist you in every way possible. You can always reach us at support@pg.world or via our social media channels. We are available 24/7/365 to ensure your experience is seamless.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we look forward to helping you plan a memorable trip."
Concerning 8 webpages, let me show an example: when you search anything on Google and receive the results, which pages do you research and use later? Right, maximum the first three pages of search results. Do you go further? Usually not, because the info there will be irrelevant, old, incorrect, not updated, etc.
The truth is you were not looking for a local tour guide in Egypt at all, but searching for any fault.
Bravo!
You succeeded in it!
