I have been on this “free” site for a bit now looking to watch peoples loved ones and all iv been getting is people sending their number for me to message them there instead of on the site. When you contact them they sound very strange and then want to drop the animal off and pay up front by bank draft . I tell them I like to meet first all you get is they are out of town and a neighbor will drop them off and they want to pay me now ! I say that’s not how I do it I except E-transfer or cash after the service is done and you pick up your dog. After that you don’t hear from them again. Dont fall for it !! Scam

If this company is NOT a scam it seems to be at best, one step up from being a complete scam in my opinion.

I would CAUTION both pet owners and pet service persons to do their research both on the site and online elsewhere and in the reviews. I joined as a “free” member and was unintentionally subscribed on auto pay.

I am not certain whether any of the accounts are actually valid on this site but the site essentially (in my opinion) tricks you into making a “free” profile and then blocks your ability to actually connect with a pet owner or a pet carer.

Buyer BEWARE. Read the many, many reviews. It cost me $40 and all I got was this opportunity to inform others.

Absolute shambles of a website, I signed up to be a pet sitter and didn't realise that entailed a subscription as far as I was aware I was on the free version of the sight, fast forward to now (over half a year later) I GET CHARGED £30 for a site that I no longer use. I reach out to the company explaining that I have memory issues and do not recall ever paying for this sight and ask for a refund as I will not be using their services. They have the audacity to tell me that they don't do refunds, I'm sorry but a site that is full of scam messages and provides no actual business is not worth my money and I will be fighting for a refund until my last breath.

I recently signed up to be a sitter. Received 2 requests . $100 a day but will pay $500 . Because moving to my town and furniture will be delivered.... They asked for a lot of personal information.
I did not response. It didn't "feel" right/safe.

Just got a msg from 'mary' who said she was working out of town and her neighbour would drop the dog off etc. When I asked questions to get more details she sent me a pic of the dog and someone would drop it off my house tomorrow night - I said I don't board, she said no problem you can drop the dog off back with the neighbour in a few days and she'll pay me upfront. I asked twice for the name of the city where she supposedly lived and got back 'Ontario' (which is a province, not a city). I replied that's not a city, this sounds very weird .... she said she's at work and wasn't paying attention to her phone. Who the hell would respond with the name of the province instead of the city? Only someone who doesn't live here. Total scam that I almost fell for: 724 292 4492

this site is full of scammers 'nn people offering outrageous amounts of money to just watch their dog for a couple of days and they hire you without even meeting you and send you a link to fill out a bunch of information. Social Security numbers banking information so that they can pay you, it was kind of odd. The lady was offering $50 an hour to watch one dog and she said that I could stay in the guest house and that she wanted to send me $900 so that I could pay a delivery person who was going deliver some furniture before she got there , they do a horrible job of checking who they're letting post the as a matter of fact, the same woman just popped up with pet sitter, saying we found the perfect match for you DO NOT trust this SITR

Don’t trust them! You won’t make money at all!

I registered for a three month subscription only to find they do not have pet sitters in my area willing to use the website as intended. When I requested a refund, they cancelled my account.

This site is riddled with scammers! Do NOT put up a profile, you are wasting your time and potentially putting yourself at risk for fraud.

They are scammers. They scammed me out of a $36.00 monthly subscription while I’m unemployed. No refund!! They are pure evil. Stay away. Do not trust these people that work for the devil!!

Wish I could give zero stars. Every message was fake: clients either never respond, or they do but they are scammers looking for money. I had one send me a long email about being from the Chicago School of the Deaf and he wanted to put me on his payroll, but he wouldn’t answer any of my sitting-related questions. I’ve seen reports from others online that they received the same sorts of emails. This website is a scam and ripped me off, stealing my money. The worst part is that my credit card company won’t refund me, even though I cancelled a year-long subscription after one week of use. Pet sitter refuses to offer any refunds, something I wish I had read in the fine print. DON’T USE THIS WEBSITE.

This site sucks and is a rip-off. I have never found a worthwhile petsitter there. The sitters rarely respond. PS stole $26 from me on a *not* promo that was running and used their "no refund" policy as an excuse to avoid the real issue. Prefer Nextdoor... and it's free!

Mostly want to thank the reviewers who recently posted the phone # these scammers use, I just got a message using the same #. I always Google everything & typed in that # & it lead me here. Yes, that website is not legit, I've never had a legitimate response. Needs to be shutdown.

I subscribe to pet sitter in the area based on the fact that it appeared that they had available sitters nearby. You will find out that if those people don't pay a monthly subscription then they can't interact with you. So I saw a long list of people in my area virtually none of whom have paid. So I've got a mailbox of messages going out and then when you hit click to call it says sorry the member didn't pay. So they're actually no sitters in my area available for me to communicate with. Pet sitter will show you a list of people nearby but you won't be able to talk to any of them. If they write you, you click respond and a button pops up that says call. You press the call button and it says sorry this member hasn't paid. And that's it. A total joke and a total waste of time and money. Don't tell people they have available sitters if you can't actually talk to them. Then when you go look for a refund because they have no people in your area you can talk with although they advertise them, they send you a Spam that says no refunds. This site is a joke do not use it.
