This company owner is very rude and called me C-U-N-T. I placed order last month and they did not responded non of my email. Since waited more than a month. And no response from them, so I called my bank and filed a dispute. Yesterday(after 48 hours filing dispute) he called me and started to ask me why I filed a dispute. I told him it's been more than a month and I didn't heard from you, so I had to file dispute. After that he started to calling me all kind of thing not only just c-u-n-t.

This is a great product and it works as advertised. The shipment came in a timely manner, and I saw an increase in horsepower performance nearly on day one highly recommend this product.

Do not waste your money. Placed the the order no update so decided to contact them and ofc no answer.
Up date he canceled the order but refused to give me my money back.

Scammer. Do not waste your money.

Just stay away and don't purchase. Such a waste. Did not do anything at all for my Challenger. And customer service is non-existent 100%!! Sent them an email with a question that should have taken about 2 seconds to answer. Finally, after 3 emails and over a month later, I got a 5 word response. Save your money, get an actual tune, and don't purchase this snake oil!! If anyone is interested I've got the stage 1 chip for a 2019 scat pack challenger I'll sell for half price!! Was installed for about 3 weeks!

OK... finally got the miles on the chip that they required. It actually does work. Not sure how much horse power it added to the car but I can tell a difference in acceleration and shift points. I did hear back from the company about the questions I ask.. about a week later. I guess later is better than never... I am gonna get one for my 6.4 Ram next.....

I’m rarely compelled to write a review, but this product changed a very expensive purchase into a vehicle I enjoy driving. I ordered a fully loaded Jeep Cherokee for my wife in 2022. Everything except the towing package which, the dealer explained would only include the 4 cylinder but assured me it would be surprisingly adequate. They were wrong…even worse, after the dealer service was expired, I was shocked the first time I cleaned the air filter to find a 6 cylinder under the hood! I’m won’t go into what is excellent and what is not about the new Cherokee, but this vehicle was at the bottom of my list of vehicles I’ve owned.

On the flat lands of the Texas Panhandle at a 75mph cruise, my vehicle would down shift to handle an overpass. Even on level ground, it would downshift to maintain speed against a 20mph headwind. It wouldn’t stay there though; it shifted down then up then down then up. Driving in the Rocky Mountains, I just manually shifted. The Jeep could not figure out what gear to be in. AND, if we were in a traffic situation, we learned to never assume it would get up and go…usually it hesitated trying to find a gear and then the acceleration was poor at best. I was looking at new vehicles within the year.

Hoping there was something to be done, I read a lot of reviews, critics and rebuttals from Performance Chip Tuning. But there was one review that seemed particularly credible as the reviewer described many of the same symptoms on a similar vehicle. Rough idle, really bad shift points, lack of power at speed, and pathetic acceleration for a 6. I wasn’t expecting much in the way of mileage.

I opted to try the Stage 2 performance chip. I’ve been shocked at the change. It says a lot about how significantly the factory programming affected an otherwise capable vehicle.

Within a week, my wife and I both noticed the smoother idle, smoother shifting and an increase in acceleration. Over the next month, we noticed that the vehicle maintains highway speeds without effort and when it does have to shift, we really don’t notice. Average mileage has improved about 2mpg as advertised. And acceleration is measurably and noticeably better (I have a “drag strip in a box” that I’ve tested with other vehicles on an actual dragstrip).

Five months later, my wife and I were returning from the traffic of the city to our rural home down a dirt road and we observed it was hard to believe this was the same vehicle. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a high performance car, but it is what I had expected when I bought it. Maybe better.

I can’t emphasize what a positive change this tuning chip made to our vehicle.

I put a Stage 2 on my 2017 Expedition. It’s done nothing but exactly what I was hoping for. Torque increase is huge, mileage has gone up, and all I did was plug it in. The turbo’s spool up quicker and the power is very smooth. Had it for over a month now and it’s still getting stronger. VERY HAPPY

I am no expert but I did notice performance gain on my 08 Chevy HHR SS. The problem is the chip caused some electrical issues. When I first installed it some fuses were blown immediately. I replaced those thinking its just a one time issue. Used the chip for a few more weeks and then one day the ABS light came on. Took it to my mechanic and it turns out that the ABS module/system was gone. Now I cannot say its due to the JDM chip but I had never had electrical issues with the car before installing the JDM chip. So yes it does increase performance but beware of electrical issues at least if you own the HHR SS. No plans to use it anymore. Will go back to my Pedal Commander which has always worked well for me. Yes I know they are not the same but I am not trying to race anyone.

DISHONEST COMPANY – READ BEFORE YOU BUY
I purchased the Stage 1 chip for my 2020 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. I followed the installation instructions perfectly. I drove with the chip, never removing it, for 3 weeks. I saw zero difference in fuel economy or power, driving the same routine every day. I emailed the customer support for a refund; the company’s site states there is a 30-day money back guarantee. After several emails, I received direction on how to return it. I packed it in the original plastic wrap and in the original box. This cost me around $13 at UPS to mail it back. Then, I got a refund for $79.99, $20 less than what I paid for it. I emailed again and inquired and was sent a link to the terms and conditions and there was a restocking fee. The terms and conditions do not apply because the chip I received was apparently defective, as it did nothing. AVOID purchasing products from this company. How can a restocking fee apply for an item that doesn’t work??
This company is DISHONEST in its dealings. It sold me a product that simply flashed blue lights and then charged me a $20 restocking fee for an item that did NOTHING THEY CLAIMED IT WOULD DO. Finally, I went to the company’s site to leave a review, logged in and was refused. The message said only people who have purchased the product can review it. I DID PURCHASE THE PRODUCT.

I purchased a Stage 2 "Smarttune" chip from PCT slightly dubious as to whether or not I would see noticeable positive results. Many of the so-called "performance chips" out there are scams and will either not work, or will harm your engine. Researching this company, however, left me fairly satisfied as to their claims and I decided to try them out.
I started noticing results after about 5 days steadily increasing to a consistent level of performance after about 10. Not really knowing what to expect I was pleasantly surprised that the chip does indeed work. I am noticing slightly quicker acceleration, better rpm idle, and snappier throttle response across my rpm range.
The only downside to the product seems to be that some people do have ligament issues with the product after installing and I can only attribute this to the fact that this type of technology is fairly new and is by no means perfected yet, especially for universal products.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with PCT, the product gives noticeable results if not anything crazy (at least in my experience) customer service is extremely quick and very professional and helpful.
Do your research before buying a performance chip and you should be good!

The Stage 4 PCT chip that I purchased for my 2017 Chevrolet Equinox from them definitely did NOT work for me.
At all.

Let me preface this review by clearly stating my intentions:

I am simply sharing the exact details of MY actual experience with their product.

I am not trying to disparage PCT.
I have not (and am not now) calling them names or using profanity in any of my communications.
I am not saying their product is a scam.
I am not calling them a terrible company.

Here is exactly what happened:

On Aug. 24, 2023: Received the unit and plugged into the OBD connector as directed. Gave it a minute to connect and load. Once ready, I started the car and let it run a few minutes.
First thing I noticed was that some of the data fields did not show up on the display unit. ECT, for example, did not display any value at all.
Next thing I noticed was a very uneven idle. The engine was “surging” slightly, revving up and down by itself. Next I noticed intermittent error messages on my dash display, including “Service Power Steering” and “Service Park Assist”.
When I tried driving I noticed that my gas gauge, speedometer and tachometer were all “bouncing” or oscillating from low to high values intermittently.
The driving characteristics with the chip installed were terrible. Upshifts were hard and inconsistent, sometimes at low rpm sometimes at high. Also downshifts were sporadic and noticeably hard or jarring.

Bottom line- Various instrumentation problems, error messages and poor and inconsistent driving characteristics.

Next, let’s talk about PCT customer service. 2 stars.

Emailed and described results of trying the chip, exactly as described above. A couple of days later, the reply from PCT “Support” was simply a 12 line note providing return instructions.
No attempt to troubleshoot.
No additional guidance to try making any changes in the install process.
No attempt to explain what may have been the problem.
No offer to try replacing this chip for anything different that may have better results.
So their support flowchart has only two legs???
Works= Yes. Keep
Works = No. Return.

Kind of makes me wonder if complete product failure is no surprise, and basically inevitable, so don’t even bother trying to resolve or replace?

Returned within 2 days for the “Full Refund” as promised in their online literature. **To their credit**, they actually did process a (partial) refund fairly quickly- 3-5 days as promised.

HOWEVER, they also tried withholding $40 of my $299.00 refund for what they called “Shipping and Restocking” fees.

Again, **to their credit**, this remainder was reimbursed, but only after I sent another email pointing out that:

A) shipping, per my invoice, was FREE and therefore, if not reimbursed would equal a deduction of exactly zero dollars, and
B) their own terms and conditions state that a restocking fee only applies IF the product is not returned in “like new” condition. Mine was precisely 2 days old, used for a total of less that 30 minutes, and
returned in EXACTLY the condition in which it was received. Including all original packaging.

If you decide to deal with this company, which I would not recommend based on MY experience, be sure to keep all your original packing materials, and more
importantly keep detailed records of everything- invoices, emails, tracking numbers, photographs of items, packing materials etc.

You’re very likely going to need them when it comes time for them to honor their refund policy.

Again- this was just MY experience.

The company is really good at customer service. Excellent responses and fast! They provide detailed information for all orders and problems!

I recently bought a GTE Stage 1 OBD2 TUNER for my 19 Abarth spider 124 and love it. Got it within days ! I then ordered a code reader, but only goymt the order confirmation for order 162080. I called after a couple of days and got right thru and it was resolved ! I will be doing more business with the for sure.... VERY RESPONSIVE

Let’s just say I got dyno sheets to prove these chips are garbage. I have 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile times that say they don’t make any changes to ur car. Tried out on two different types of cars save ur money. I am thinking about starting a class action law suit so people stop getting scammed. If interested let me know you can call my attorney.

Their lack of transparency and my own good common sense have dictated to me that I'd be better off not spending my money with this company. I emailed them to ask why their BBB rating and reviews are so bad. They asked me to provide the link. I did. They emailed me back a link to buy their product. Never responded to my concerns at all. I'm glad I took the time to email this company before I spent money with them. No thanks.

The shipping was very fast. The customer service is great and friendly, too. They keep their word and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them in the future. Glad I made the right choice for my purchase.

I purchased this item March 13th 2023 for my 2004 Nissan Titan everything was ok at first....Then the truck started randomly stalling not thinking it was the chip my crankshaft sensor went continued use after replacing that the truck continued to stall ended up burning my starter up which was my fault but was better than being stuck blocking morning and evening rush hour traffic. I replaced the started still not thinking it was the chip truck continued to stall every time I came to a stop so not thinking it was the chip i replaced the fuel pump today 14th of April thinking that was the issue Nope not at all stalled three times after that finally I decided to remove the chip low and behold no more stalling truck drives like brand new again.Not very happy at all good thing i replaced all parts myself or i would be in the 1500 to 2000 range for repairs but luckily it only cost me 800 in parts i know for a fact it was the chip being the vehicle runs great ever since removing the chip...

Update Im lying my vehicle has 118k miles not 200k this company is a joke when i called he answered call like it was his house phone then continued to disrespect me the whole time just real funny after the 2 weeks its says to have in youre vehicle everything starts failing lmao you know be an honest business owner and quit calling everyone liars when its you im well within my 60 day return policy just want my money back didnt ask you to make any repairs to my vehicle

I will never do business with this company ever again. I ordered a cold air intake for my Ford Taurus SHO. I hit a dog on the interstate which placed my car at a salvage station to be inspected by an adjuster for a total loss claim. I called to simply cancel the order since I no longer needed the part. I was told the order couldn't be cancelled and I would have to pay MORE money to ship the item back, in it's original box, unopened and unused. I told them the reason why I needed to return the item and they had no concern for my tragic situation. I paid $30 to ship the product back to this company. When they received the product back, they took an additional $20 off my refund. So I paid $125 for the product, never used it due to an unforseen situation, sent it back after having to pay to ship it back, then was fined an extra fee. So my $125 refund was actually only $75 for a product I never used. I will never do business with this fraudulent company ever again. If they were the only company providing what I needed, I would simply do without. They lack customer service skills and obviously do not care about their customers.
