I am writing to express my disappointment regarding one of your managers at Payscale, based in the Philippines. I recently had an interview with him, and I found the experience to be quite unprofessional. I also felt that some parts of the conversation reflected a homophobic attitude toward me, which was very disappointing. The reputation of your company reflects all of you, and I hope this concern is taken seriously. If you are able to read this, I kindly ask that you take appropriate action regarding this matter.

I have been working in total rewards for over two decades and I have never experienced service that is so terrible. They have an automatic review policy - that is buried in their terms of service. Then 30 days before the end of your contract they automatically renewed me and increased the cost by 35%. They cancel every meeting I schedule to talk to someone and won't let me talk to a manager.

Deceptive data stealing tactics, without any meaningful results

Incompetent website
This site asks and asks before showing you anything useful, about sensitive and personal information, and only works half the time
Even at the end when you've filled everything out, it deceptively asks for even more by requiring a sign up to view the results of all the information you put in- if it saves it at all and doesn't send you back to the beginning. Use indeed or something

filled out information 3 times the first two time it just froze, the last time brought me to 'tell us about you page' and the button brought me back to the first part of the information page that I've filled out 2 time prior.

its dumb, obviously they can't tell me what I should be paid because they couldn't bother to pay their people to make a working website.

Scam website, they don't provide any insight or information.

Absolutely useless!
Prepare yourself to spend 10m+ giving out your sensitive data, filling out stupid forms, just so that they give you NOTHING after that. Literally an empty page with no results. I tried on both Chrome and Safari browsers. Clearly, it's not a browser bug, but a pure scam.

Stay away! It’s definitely a scam for your data. They get all you answers then regurgitate back to you, bro… I have a calculator too what’s the point. Most likely they will sell it on along with you email if you chose to create an account.

They will ask you for a survey to find out your salary range.

After you finish it willl just give you an error msg. with nothing to show for the 10 min you wasted on their site, except the data they collected off your back :D

This is a smart way to get your data, but receive nothing in return.
The idea: you give your full job information, and you will receive a report of how much you should earn (based on career, certifications, experience, and a long etc.).
The reality: you spend a lot of time filling tons of forms about your actual job, everything, but at the end, they report nothing. They say there is not enough data to give you a report. It's a shame really.

Buyer beware: Payscale does not value its customers. The clearest evidence of this is that they auto-renew clients 11 months after their contract initiation. The company sets subscribers up with a "customer success manager" who primarily sends you spam, does not respond to your emails during your license period and does not provide a direct phone number to contact. When we told Payscale we wanted to cancel 11.25 months into our contract, Payscale said they had just auto-renewed us couldn't possibly cancel us because it would render all contracts meaningless. They did propose that instead of canceling our contract, they could change our auto-renewed 1-year contract into a 3-year contract. Yes, that's as absurd as it sounds. When we asked why we would consider that an adequate solution, they said they were sending us to collections -- at that point, we were one week into our new subscription. A real customer-first organization!
