Paws At Peace 

I unfortunately had to use their services on July 12 for the love of my life, my heartbeat...My dog Loki. She had been sick for some time, and I eventually had to make the decision every pet parent dreads. I communicated mostly with Colleen via phone calls and emails regarding the process. She was patient and caring the entire time. I never felt rushed. On the day of, Dr Goldhaber arrived at my home promptly. Her voice was warm and gentle. I broke down when she detailed the process. At that moment she left the room, giving me time to express my emotions. Every step was explained with genuine care and empathy. When my baby received the final injection, she again left the room while I wailed. I had a memorial service in my bedroom, which honored my dog's memory in a way that was fitting with how precious she was, and how much she meant to me. It was live-streamed so family members and friends could be present virtually. One of my sisters sang, Bridge Over Troubled Waters. Dr Goldhaber respectfully gave us the time we needed. When she did the imprint, she handled Loki's paw as delicately as if she were still alive. I was given the choice to carry Loki out myself or have her do it. Of course I chose to do so, with her wrapped in one of her favorite blankets that matched her frilly dress, hugging a calla lily. The thoughtfulness and respect shown by the staff of Paws At Peace from the first phone call, to the follow up email offering grief counseling, and lastly the sympathy card, was very much appreciated. A huge thank you to each and every one of them.

When I say the experience couldnt have been more peaceful I mean it.
My best friend of 15 years passed so peacefully, in her bed, next to the fire in my arms. I thought id feel heartbroken, but I feel calm. I will miss her more than anything but Kim gave me a gift that is priceless, those last memories of peace.

They took the time to answer all our questions, explained the process thoroughly, and provided the support we needed during this difficult time. Having Dr. Schwartz come to our home allowed our pet to pass peacefully in a familiar and comforting environment.
