Liverpool John Lennon Airport Arvostelua 

I used to prefer this airport. After the arrival of Jet2 they've gone right downhill in terms of customer service and experience.
I cancelled my parking on 14th Dec and rebooked for a different date. Today is 8th January and I STILL have not received my refund for the cancelled parking which was about £112, despite receiving the cancellation email the same day.
I phoned up and they agreed, I should have had a refund by now, but I needed to fill in a contact form for Customer Services. I am still waiting on a reply from them, so I have also filed a complaint through Paypal. The refund process should be automated. I have done this in the past and Manchester Airport refund parking cancellations the same day. Looks like I'll be going back to Manchester in future I am very disappointed to say.

Totally unprepared for a bit of snow.. Front entrance not gritted or snow cleared.. Tiny little gritter by gate 8,9,10 trying to clear the snow.. 1 snow plough clearing a runway. Causing us to have 26 hour delay .. freezing cold terminals..No push back available to get our flight away so a further 2 hour delay on tarmac ..
Other regional airports seemed to get operational ..You want to promote other airlines to use your airport but the infrastructure needs serious work.. Sort yourself out Liverpool Airport just not good enough !!

Drove to the Drop off 2 car park yesterday which I’ve done several times before, only to find the time you have for free has been decreased to 20 mins instead of 40! I walked my friend to the airport which took 10 mins, said goodbye and rushed back as quickly as I could possibly walk, only to find I was ONE minute past the 20 minutes and was subsequently charged £8 on the way out! Absolutely disgusting! Why have you reduced the free time to 20 minutes which makes it completely impossible to get back to the car without a charge!?

This airport is a small one pretending to be a big one. The only thing good about it is the staff. It's a nightmare to drive to. It is badly signed for parking. Meet and Greet is not near the terminal, especially if it's raining. The toilets weren't very clean, and the hike to the aircraft, along the plastic and scaffolding tunnel in the rain and wind was the straw that broke the camel's back. Back to Manchester for us in future!

Excellent staff , I’m a lone traveler and couldn’t ask for a better experience so helpful.

Flight home to Spain was cancelled and was put on next day flight.. we were around 30 passengers left at the airport and was told to wait by Swissport staff to arrange our accommodation. We waiting 4 hours to be told no accommodation is being offered, by this time it's almost 11pm! We thehad to sleep in a freezing dirty terminal along with elderly and disabled people! Swissport staff are lazy, rude and basically the roughest people they could to find to work there! It's one of the worst airports I have travelled through. No

There is no place to quickly drop off someone,
close to the main building, who is unwell, needs to use the toilet quickly or is unable to walk a long distance from the car park. Any stop, even for 10 seconds, will result in a hefty fine of £100. This is a very small airport and something like this is completely absurd. Scandal and treating people like garbage.

Hotel to airport 10 minutes, car park to bag drop 5 minutes. Dropped bag and through border control in 20 minutes. Picked up gin ordered online, and you just have to love the music in the departure lounge 05.00, wonderful. Staff polite friendly and efficient, see you again soon. Highly recommended.

Always a treat coming through Liverpool it’s a shame they don’t fly to more places then we wouldn’t have to use the catastrophically bad Manchester airport as much.

Avoid the official meet and greet car park. I’ve returned to £200 of damage that they’re denying, and also lying about the time the car was moved.Completely dishonest. Park your car yourself, preferably at another airport.

Found the whole process simple and very comfortable on arrival and departure time. Prefer Liverpool to most other airports in uk. Much friendlier as well.

We checked into the sable cafe this morning and a young man called Owen served us , what a credit he is to the airport, the coffee was cold and we ask could we change , no fuss and straight away he brought a nice hot coffee !!!
He then came back to check we were happy , keep up the good work Owen we need more people like you !!

Staff very rude very unhelpful lazy strolling around missed flight due to unhelpful staff 1 hour to get through security bag check we told one staff member could he please check our bag due to getting to gate closing he walked even slower to check our bags ignorant people a complete shambles that airport avoid

shocking website, not only slow, but frustrating. I tried 10 times to book parking. All the fields are correct. But keeps asking for the flight which it finds when I start typing. But kicks me back to the begining. I book at lease once a month at Manchester airport without an issue, so not a dummy. I gave up.

We had a flight to Dublin on Oct 20th, it was delayed because of bad weather. The Liverpool information boards did not mention this or give a time of departure for us. The Dublin Airport website was able to give our correct arrival time. Why couldn't Liverpool Airport do this?
Boarding took 50 minutes into a room with very few chairs. We again were left with no information about the departure time.
I am unsure why there is complete silence around delays. The two Dublin flights before us also had no information on screen for customers. Surely, this is an easy thing to do?

Smooth procedure from entering terminal to boarding aircraft.
Parking only problem.Signage for Smart Parking dwarfed by alternative parking .Early in the morning easy to end up in wrong park and be charged extra £16 on exit.?.? Be wary.

My sons easyjet flight from Palma landed at 1.01 am 19 minutes early. The Jet2 Heraklion flight arrived at 1.07am 5 mins late. No steps brought to Palma flight for 15 mins yet Heraklion flight disembarked. No luggage for Palma flight for an hour. Yet Heraklion flight had luggage. Was this dependent on airline you fly with feels like it. Two other flights due at same time delayed so no pressure on airport. Obviously not enough staff. Who chooses how staff service flights? It happens I know but sadly this has a knock on effect for anybody collecting from the airport as there is nowhere to park and wait whilst the airport gets its act together. Unless of course you pay extortionate parking charges for over an hour. It's £5 just to drive in and get them. For the price of flying things need to be addressed and profit margins narrowed. Employ more staff if you can't cope when flights are early or late I think that's probably the nature of your business.

Arrived on a flight from Palma. Firstly no steps available, next we were locked out and couldn’t get into the airport then the wait for luggage was ridiculous. Awful airport. When we flew from Palma the checkout and security took less than 5 minutes, lessons need to be learned !

My wife and I used JL Airport for flight to Majorca, with Easyjet. On arrival at drop off, from taxi, got drenched in torrential rail , entering arrivals, as there is no continuing cover from drop off area.
We were early. Not many seats. Had coffee at Greggs. Seating area dated , dusty, drafty and pigeons flying round.
After checking in, we attempted to enter for security checks. One of our boarding cards didn't work. Ended up with my wife through initial turnstile but I couldn't get in as my card was not , apparently, working.
The airport security official at the entry gate , was a young man of about 20 years of age.His visual apperence was of a person who couldn't care less.He was slumped on stool , looking bored stiff .I asked for help and he said it was nothing to do with him.
I eventually got another boarding card from check in but young man on security gate's attitude was contemptible.
Had meal at "Kissing Gate" Airport "restaurant ". It was overpriced rubbish. Note I don't mind paying at airports, if food OK.
The airport needs to dramatically improve it's arrival facilities ( particularly seating). The toilets were pretty bad too.The catering is abysmal.
The security staff...well rude and unhelpful.
The airport bills "friendliness " as one of it's strengths. I think not.

So a word of caution to people travelling though john lennon airport about staff.
So on 26th of August 2024 I was going on holiday and travelling through john lennon Airport in Liverpool. With ryanair, and when to check my suitcase at the check in desk and the man ask that I show him why I wanted to check my suitcase it was coz the wheels of my suitcase went over the edge and the yusif the staff member said that it wouldn't be a problem which was a complete lie and as I trusted him I when to check on my flight I was then I was singled in a line of people and stop and asked to put my suitcase on the bag check which I did, and the rude swiss air ladies who was checking us onto the flight charged us £150 saying the would tell him off but still charge us after we tried to check are suitcases at the desk. She was rude and told us it was are falt and we would not be allowed on the flight if we didn't pay. This is unacceptable way of treating people that did nothing wrong and when asking them for a way to get are money back or contact they would not help at all. This felt like a set up to scam me. I paid priority boarding and that was 40 x2 for two suitcases, then a 150 pound charged at liverpool airport. And then on return paid again to check two suitcases. I won't even say how much on the return. The airport are part of this scam. Never trusting the staff at the airport again.
