We chose Paloma based on other reviews and the age they would assess from as well as their location. From GP referral to being discharged the process has taken 7 months. The clinicians we encountered were lovely, knowledgable, professional and really took time to listen to us as well as our child. They were able to see through masking and other peoples opinions to really see what was going on for our child. The report we received was personal, detailed and strength based.

We had such a great experience with Paloma. The process was comparatively rapid. 5 months roughly from start to finish compared to 2 years for our local NHS pathway. The onboarding was straight forward. Good communication through the process. Our assessment experience was really good. The clinician was lovely, warm, friendly, gave us lots of time to speak. We were not rushed, it didn’t feel clinical. I was able to express my concerns and reservations. She was respectful, knowledgeable, she showed genuine warmth when we described our daughter. Our daughter was nervous of the assessment which was in person but again the clinician was warm and friendly and developed a quick rapport. My daughter came out of the assessment beaming, she really enjoyed it. The report perfectly captured our daughter and her strengths. We appreciated the debrief appointment to go through the report. I work for the NHS and have been through a number of pathways for different health concerns and I really felt that with Paloma it was warmer and more human. We didn’t feel like another number on a clinical list. Great experience.

We were referred for a child Autism assessment under the nhs right to choose pathway. From start to finish the whole process was done in 5 months. Every member of staff I spoke to was very knowledgeable and efficient and made the process so much calmer for us as a family. The in person clinic in Exeter was well set up and the clinician made my son as comfortable as he could. The report was very thorough & easy to navigate and the clinician was more than happy to answer my questions. Overall I would highly recommend Paloma health

We had an amazing experience, from an easy referral, to clear communication throughout.
We had trouble with the laptop on our appointment and they were extremely patient and found an alternative way to continue the call. The in person assessment was fantastic, they took their time and really saw what we could see. It was very quick for the outcome with lots of recommendations.

I went via the Right to Choose pathway through my GP and chose Paloma Health to assess my 13 year old son for autism. It took 6 months from enquiry to diagnosis. The whole process has been outstanding.
Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and although we have now completed the assessment process and been ‘discharged’, I was reassured that I could contact Paloma at any time if I have any questions or concerns.

Very bad experience
At my outcome appointment any questions I asked regarding further support could not be answered. I have been left with even less understanding of where I go with my daughter than before.

This was a completely stress free experience from the start for us. Every member of staff we spoke to were all so lovely. The turn around time from the application to the outcome was fantastic compared to everywhere else I looked into. The staff are so knowledgeable. Any questions we had, the staff had very detailed and easy to understand answers. We can not recommend Paloma Health enough. I’ve actually been recommending them to lots of people

Great positive service with so much support and care to both myself and my child. From first point of contact through to our final outcome appointment was both professional and caring. Every member of the team we had contact with was so lovely. Any questions we had the team were more than ready to answer and very clued up on all areas. We recieved a lot of information and support through the assessment period.

I was impressed with how quickly we got a diagnosis after waiting for years for the schools to get an assesment sorted and getting told there was a 2 yr waiting list, I'm greatful that our GP referred us to Paloma health and we got a diagnosis within 2 months thank you

Would highly recommend Paloma Health. My 4yr old son was recently assessed and the process went smoothly, taking around 6 monthly from the initial referral to diagnosis. Good communication throughout, we had a number of modules sent to us to read leading up to the appointment which helped us understand the process. The in person assessor tailored the appointment to my son’s ages and more importantly speach and language ability!

We had a great experience with Paloma Health having our daughter assessed. We chose Paloma Health for our daughter after going through the process with our local NHS service for our son over the course of 2.5 years. With Paloma Health the process took just 6 months which was great as we can now put all the support in place for our daughter without a further wait. Our daughter is also masking very heavily outside home but the fact that Paloma Health recognises the different presentation of autism in females put our minds at ease.
The staff we met were all very patient and empathetic and the wealth of resources Paloma Health shared with us after the outcome appointment was helpful. The final report was also very thorough and insightful.

I chose Paloma for my son's autism assesment after seeing positive reviews on a right to choose facebook group, the short wait times were a bonus.

The whole process with Paloma was smooth, they responded quickly to any emails I sent with queries, everyone I dealt with was professional and efficient.

The two clinicians we saw as part of my son's assesment were very kind, patient and thorough, I was worried that my son wouldn't engage but the clinician but Charlotte, who did his child observation, was great at getting him to open up and making him feel comfortable enough to speak freely.

The report I received is lengthy and detailed, and was quickly sent to my GP after the outcome appointment. I would definitely recommend Paloma to anyone looking for a autism assessment for their child.

I would highly recommend using Paloma Health, they are understanding, caring and the process is extremely quick to what you would normally wait. The staff are wonderful and guide you through each step and give so many helpful resources.

Paloma health are a brilliant company, from referral to outcome was less than 6 months. The information in the modules was really easy to read, very informative and just what parents need to help understand the process

I felt that they really understood how parents are feeling and how hard it is to be heard, with Paloma I felt seen and can finally get the support in school now for my son, I would highly recommend them and will be using them when they open up their child adhd assessments next year

Paloma Health provided a thorough autism assessment for my son. The process from referral through to diagnosis took just shy of six months. The assessment its self was very good and the assessor was extremely patient with my child. The report provided was in great detail and provided signposting and further support recommendations.

I don't think I could fault this excellent service from start to finish. I could tell that the assessors really care. Stephanie made me feel so at ease and was so understanding. I felt like I was talking to someone who knew exactly what its like to have a child with Autism - sympathetic and understanding but very knowledgeable. I could tell that she is passionate about her job and her experience in this role really showed.
My son was quite nervous about his observation appointment but he really liked Kirsty. He said that he felt like she knew him really well. She made him laugh and he actually enjoyed the appointment!
The referal was made in March and I had his outcome meeting today. I can't express how grateful I am to have the answers so he can get the support he needs at school.
The portal gives lots of guidance and information and the outcome report is spot on and very detailed.
Info for parents anxiously waiting for the outcome: I had mine come through 2 days before the outcome meeting. This was 1 month after the child observation meeting. It's a fraction of the time you will wait for the NHS.
