Oxford Open learning has been very helpful with good communication. The tutors are proactive at keeping in touch and setting deadlines. I would recommend that one thing that needs changing is the way the student is helped to understand a certain problem or module they are struggling with. Some students will benefit better from talking about their work or lack of understanding verbally rather than trying to make sense of it on their own using the links/videos that are sent to them.

GCSE'S
The course was excellent and very informative of the work required. Both my tutors marked my assignments promptly and gave excellent guidance and feedback. If I got stuck on the work I felt my problem would be resolved by a phone call. I would like to day a big thank you to Louise and Des; without their support, encouragement and guidance I would never have achieved an 8 in Human Biology and an 8 in Higher Tier Maths. I am indebted to my tutors. I fully recommend the courses Thank you so much.

Both my daughters have been doing IGCSE courses with Oxford Open Learning. The course materials are very good and the teachers were always on hand if they didn't understand something. They were also reminded if they have missed submitting an assignment on time. Once the assignments were marked they had a chance to discuss it with their tutors. They also enjoyed having a lot more free time to themselves to develop other interests and the tutors were very accommodating if they needed extra time on a subject. Communication with the company was excellent, we were always informed of progress etc. Highly recommend 👍

The Oxford homeschooling study material is well organized and easy to understand, tutors are very helpful and supportive.It was a very joyful experience throughout otherwise it could be very frustrating without their help and guidance.

I have used Oxford open learning twice now for both my son's at different times. On both occasions I have been very happy with the service provided, any problems were sorted straight away. Good choice of courses and tutors were very approachable and made it an enjoyable experience.

The company is really organised and supply you with all required materials, the tutors were fantastic with my daughter, my only criticism was one of the tutors was extremely busy and my daughter really struggled with this particular subject and I just felt the support wasn’t quite there otherwise, excellent value for money and would definitely recommend.

Thank God for home education, as without that option we would have been in real trouble. The institution itself was very helpful and mostly so were the tutors, but some of the materials seemed in need of a re-write. I got the impression they were compiled some years ago and do not seem up to date in terms of social awareness and current issues, plus the coursework did not always cover the ground needed for assignment questions. However, Oxford were fantastic at keeping us informed throughout the pandemic of how things would be dealt with, and as a registered exam centre, were able to provide grades in lieu of exams whereas many home schooling providers were not, and this was a huge advantage. We are very grateful to them- if the course materials could have a revamp the star rating would be higher!

Regular telephone exams. Good course material for GCSE Spanish. Flexible tutor to fit exams around her school days. Got a fab result from teacher assessed grade (based on all her continuous assessments).

The courses are well-written, interesting and absorbing. They are written in a way that speaks one to one with the student.

Lovely tutors; approachable, intelligent and supportive.

I have given 4 stars rather than 5 because I think the following improvements could be made:

- Some of the wording is a bit intense for less articulate/intellectual students of 14-16 years old, who may get a bit 'lost along the way'.

- More colour would be more appealing for younger students

- A number of the links and case studies were missing and/or not up to date. A lot of time was wasted and needless confusion ensued trying to find them or compensate for their absence. I feel the courses should be proof read annually and updated where necessary.

We would use OHS again.

I took my daughter out of high school at the beginning of year 11. I did not want to but felt I had no choice. We researched a few companies and found Oxford Open Learning to be suitable. Once in touch with them we found them very helpful. The tutors were always available for questions and feedback and got back to my daughter promptly is she had any problems. In the course of 8 months and with help from the tutors my daughter completed and passed 5 GCSEs. I would definitely recommend Oxford Open Learning.

OLL have been amazing and everyone we had contact with is professional, knowledgable and incredibly helpful. My daughter did her AS Levels last year (2020-2021) with them is now @University in the US. Highly recommended.

As long as the student learns to dedicate themselves it works very well.

I homeschooled my daughter for 3 years and used several companies for tutoring. I found OOL one of the best that I worked with. Her tutor was extremely helpful and the company worked well under the pressure of the COVID changes to exams. My daughter was studying English literature.

The support from the English tutor was fantastic. My son was provided with interesting content to study enabling him to enjoy his learning experience and his tutor always found time to discuss tasks he found difficult. Furthermore assignments helped my son to become an independent learner.

The style of Oxford Home Learning's education package with hard copy study materials, frequent tutor marked assignments, written and verbal feedback via the telephone has kept my daughter engaged with her learning journey. Thoroughly recommended.

When looking for a homeschooling package for my daughter when we returned from abroad, I did lots of research. I found Oxford Open Learning to be fantastic all the way. They kept us right with the best options for my daughter, who had been schooling in Canada, for what was the equivalent GCSEs, she is now studying A Levels with them. Can't fault them & would highly recommend.
