Having reviewed the case and the information provided at the time, the issue was assessed as being related to the assembly of the wardrobe. The wardrobe had been stood upright before the back panels were correctly attached. These panels are an integral part of the structure and stability of the wardrobe and, as outlined within the assembly instructions, must be securely fitted before the unit is stood upright.
Unfortunately, standing the wardrobe before the back panels are fitted can place additional strain on the structure and affect its stability.
We completely appreciate that this was a frustrating outcome and we are genuinely sorry that we were unable to provide the resolution you had hoped for and for the disappointment this has caused.

Very good service
Very good delivery time scale, I havent put all my items together yet but the ones I have easy to follow instructions.
I did have to contact customer services as a front draw panel was faulty, Will on customer services was quick to reply and the front draw panel was replace with great communication.

Awful service DO NOT USE the wardrobe i ordered came delayed nice lady on the phone for own furniture but wouldnt give me a solid answer for dates very gaslighted the whole time alot of sweet words too prevent complaints alot of " oh i will ring you back to let you know " never happened half the time back and forth phone calls in a space of nearly a week for a order that was suppose to be a simple next day delivery. ..yet was unable to issue any small refund even just 50 quid for a nearly 400 quid order that came , 1st delivery was okay with 2 parts ( was expecting all 4 like i was told) then 2nd delivery was left outside by delivery drivers no knock no door bell rung and was placed like dominos so when door was opened they both fell had foot prints all over boxes and I was told I can only get a small refund if items damaged of which they were but not too the standard of completely ruined so I paid nearly 400 quid for a wardrobe that had been badly handled and had parts missing . I had to contact multiple times to find out about my deliveries and then all of a sudden was told that my order had been broken and they were sending new parts out ... all a bunch of waffle DO NOT take the risk just buy off well known sites this company is a massive scam

Service and it is badly organised, I found the website because I was looking for somewhere that could also assemble too. I purchased both the assembly and the wardrobe at the same time. The next day I was informed that they shipped the wardrobe but couldn’t assemble and if they did it would be twice the price I paid!!! Happy to take my money and didn’t think to check if I would still want the furniture without assembly provided. Then of course they can’t refund me in full so they have withhold part of my money.Crazy I think there should be some sort of investigation into this company, I rarely write reviews but I think it’s important in this instance for people to know before they get in the same trap as I did

We would like to clarify that the assembly service offered through our website includes information regarding the areas and postcodes currently covered by the assembly team. This information is provided so that customers can check that the service is available in their area before adding it to their order.
We advised that we would have been happy to explore alternative assembly options for you. However, the item had already been dispatched and was subsequently refused at the point of delivery.
As the item itself had arrived without damage or a fault present, the refusal is treated as a change-of-mind return and therefore the associated return carriage costs are chargeable. Whilst we are always happy to cover the cost of delivering orders to our customers, unfortunately we are unable to absorb the costs charged to us by the courier for returning goods in these circumstances.
We would also like to reassure you that the amount charged was not a fee imposed by Own Furniture or an attempt to withhold part of your refund. It reflects the direct return carriage cost that was passed on to us by the courier.
We appreciate that this was not the experience you had anticipated when placing your order and sincerely apologise for the frustration and disappointment caused.

Ordered a double grey wardrobe
Ordered a double grey wardrobe, when it was delivered we were so excited to put it together as we had just moved into our new home, so hubby gets started on putting together, going by the instruction manual, the wardrobe fell apart, we sent an email and was told we put it together wrong! No we put it together right, was not sturdy at all! Then we get told we have to purchase components from them to rectify it! The wardrobe was unusable at this stage as it kept breaking when putting the screws in!
We paid a lot of money for this wardrobe and they blamed us!
We will be taking this further as this was not our fault!
If you want a sturdy solid wardrobe do NOT buy from here!

When the issue was reported to us, the photographs and information provided were referred to the supplier's technical team for assessment. Following their review, they determined that the damage was consistent with an assembly related issue, specifically that the back panels had not been fitted correctly before the wardrobe was stood upright. These panels are an integral part of the wardrobe's stability during assembly.
As the manufacturer is responsible for the technical assessment of the product, we do have to rely on their findings when determining the appropriate resolution. On this occasion, this meant that we were unfortunately unable to provide replacement components free of charge, although we did offer the option to purchase the required replacement parts.
We fully appreciate that you disagree with the manufacturer's assessment and understand how frustrating this outcome has been. We are genuinely sorry that we have been unable to reach the resolution you had hoped for.

Ordered bunk beds with a delivery date…
Ordered bunk beds with a delivery date at least two days before I needed those. Got a notification before the delivery date saying they have been shipped for transport. After that nothing and did not come so contacted customer services. Got a notification that they were out for delivery. Again nothing has arrived and spoke to customer services who weren't much help. No idea when I will receive these as I won't be in and my kids are supposed to be in tomorrow with nowhere to sleep. If you need something by a specific date don't order from here.

I don’t recommend ordering
Beyond laughable. I trusted Trustpilot and I shouldn’t have! My item arrives in two days, great exactly what I paid for. Then upon opening no instructions, not great but customer service sent some over in around 15 minutes. Then upon assembly I find I’m missing some crucial screws. I contact customer service again and they assure me these would be sent next day, A WEEK later I chase as these screws are nowhere to be seen. It has now been TWO WEEKS after ordering my chest of drawers. I have just moved house, there are clothes in suitcases still. No attempt at compensation or helping resolve the matter other than we will contact the warehouse. Well that’s great to hear you’re contacting someone but there are no results. I am beyond furious with this service and will not be ordering from them again. It has got to the point where I have spent my own money on screws just so I can put together the furniture. Unacceptable.
