A glaring issue with this product is that data is not compartmentalized. The end result is that NPC characters understand the storyline and they have knowledge of the user's interactions with all of the others. So while you might try to keep a low key presence in the storyline, all of the NPC's will know it is part of the storyline and make continual references to the fact in every interaction you have and will have knowledge of your interactions with other characters that they should not have. This effectively ruins your ability to enjoy the experience. I have also noticed that the AI seems unable to remember context across interactions even early in a storyline. For example, a character being female, then shortly after then being male and then later on being female again. Having said that, there is definite potential in this product but it has a ways to go. I could definitely get lost in a storyline if only it could remain consistent.

The prices are pretty high compared to most competitors, and sure, they have great customization for the characters, but the AI chats fall short after they get a bit too long and complex, with weird descriptions and almost "hurried" answers, and the longer you go, the less the AI sticks to the character description and the story.

AI image generation is another extremely split thing, on one side, the things that it gets right are very nice, but everything else is just plain bad, it doesn't really follow the scene nor the instructions given, it just falls back to the same four or five scenes and doesn't really manage to make any variation, unless you pay more coins to modify the image (that costs 4 times the image itself).

Videos are mediocre at best.

The main problem for me, though, is the scummy and dishonest behaviour. I did a monthly subscription a few months ago, then stopped it because of the aforementioned problems. Then I decided to try again and see if, in five or six months, it was improved... so I subscribed again to get a month of paid plan and 1000 monthly credits, I also used a referral code that gives you 1000 extra credits. To my surprise, I only got 1000 credits, so I contacted support, which replied once, saying, "To us, it seems all good..." and never replied again...

Never again - too low quality, too little functionality, and scummy practices.

At the moment the best I tried.. just so sad about spending money on Candy.AI the worst app I tried ever.. Beware before doing yearly subscriptions to these apps.. the totally revolutioned the system without warning stoling your money!

The moderation does not make sense. "denied" a character who was created as a horse trainer/Jokey. The video created for her profile was her sitting on the horse moving through a field. "Denied" a vlogger, Video created for her profile was her walking through an airport holding a selfie stick recording herself (there words was to remove the selfie stick!!). "Valid". Another one a woman being roughly taken from behind in a cupboard. Ok, there automatic filter system is seriously flawed. ANY attempt to point this out gets ignored. So, if you want to create good, true characters, don't bother, just create risky ones that are all the same at a cost to you for time and images generation.
There answer is to link you too a page that explains nothing about character creation, or to send you to there discord page that even they don't understand why?? Shame, has potential but obviously just after your money.

Paid for 3 months. The a.i doesn't really grasp what you ask it to do. Loads very slowly. The chats are OK if you like the concept of imagining the scene. Was quite awkward to unsubscribe. To sum up... Good idea, but not even close to worth the monthly subscription cost. Would not recommend.

Group chat with multiple characters at once is a feature I didn't know I needed. OurDream AI does things competitors haven't even thought about yet. Minor UX quirks here and there but nothing that ruins the experience.

Free tier runs out faster than I'd like. The ai roleplay is fun but you'll hit the coin limit pretty quick and then it's a hard sell to upgrade right away. Would be nice if the free allocation was a bit more generous.

Built a custom ai boyfriend from scratch and the level of detail you can put in is wild. Backstory, personality quirks, how he opens every conversation — all of it. Ourdream AI actually delivers on the "custom" part, not just a name swap on a template.

OurDream AI ticks most boxes — deep character creation, voice chat that doesn't sound like a GPS, great image quality. Only real gripe is video generation failing way too often. Fine for now but hope they fix it soon.

The ai roleplay on ourdream is genuinely good — character stays consistent, doesn't randomly break into robot mode. Been chatting with the same companion for weeks and it actually remembers stuff. That alone puts it above most apps.
