Relentless, Disrespectful, and Ignorant
When working with a OneTrust sales associate on behalf of my employer, I asked her not to contact me in a specific date range because I was scheduled to have an important medical procedure at that time. She ignored my request, calling and texting my personal cell phone number during that time. Due to legal and contractual reasons, my employer did not proceed with a partnership with OneTrust and the relationship ended. Since then, I have been contacted by a different OneTrust sales associate via my work email and personal cell phone. I set an automatic reply on my email while I was away on vacation, letting internal and external senders know that I was on vacation. During this time period, the sales associate called my personal cell phone twice after previously emailing me and receiving the automatic reply stating I was away on vacation. The OneTrust LLC sales team is relentless and disrespectful. They will call you, even when you explicitly tell them that you don't want to be called, and even when they are aware that they are not a good fit for your business.

This is a terrible company for communication. The login page won't accept our company password though it hasn't been changed, and won't send a new one so we can't manage or access our account. There are no other ways to get in touch without logging in and there are no other mechanisms for contacting them. Would suggest going with another provider as their customer service is not there. Have tried all avenues and this is a last resort.
One of the worst customer experiences…
One of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had with a SaaS company.
We used their product in production for one week and decided not to continue. We never confirmed or requested any renewal — yet they still tried to charge us for another full year. That alone tells you everything you need to know about their approach to customers.
A company that cares about users would at least check whether the service is still being used or confirm that we actually want to renew. None of that happened.
And honestly, even if the business handling had been smooth (it wasn’t), the product just wasn’t good:
- Outdated styling API
- Confusing dashboard
- Bloated JavaScript bundle
- Forced branding you can’t remove
With the EU relaxing cookie requirements, you might not even need a consent banner anymore. But if you do, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I’m currently looking at c15t.com — no opinion yet, but it looks a lot more customizable and developer centric than the other alternatives.
Overall: disappointing product and an even more disappointing customer experience. I would not recommend.
Disappointing Experience with OneTrust Sales Team
Here's a Sequence of Events (SOE)
Week 40: I reached out to the OneTrust sales team.
30/09/2025: I received a meeting invite and clearly explained my needs.
02/10/2025: I shared all the details they requested.
03/10/2025: I received a generic email with no clear solution or invoice details, even though I had asked for them multiple times.
10/10/2025: The team reached out again to schedule another meeting. I was on holiday during Week 42, so we set the meeting for 21/10/2025.
21/10/2025: I waited in the meeting for 12 minutes, but no one joined.
It’s been three weeks since my first contact, and OneTrust still hasn’t managed to provide a simple invoice or concrete proposal. That’s surprisingly slow for a sales team, and I wouldn’t be shocked if their conversion rate reflects that.
I’ve decided not to proceed with OneTrust.

Horrible experience. They change their subscription model and you are forced into it. When you don't accept right away they just stop the service with 2 days notice....

🚨 When “OneTrust” feels more like OneTrap 🚨
In our experience, we signed up, kicked the tyres for two weeks, and quickly realised the platform wasn’t the right fit. Usage since then? Zero. Outreach from their side? Zero - no success calls, no nudges, no “Hey, are you getting value?” Yet twelve months later an auto-renew invoice arrived, tucked behind a notice window that closed 30 days before term-end.
Silent shackles - the auto-renew notice sits deep in the fine-print clause most teams overlook.
Account-management blackout - an entire year without a single proactive check-in.
Customer indifference - revenue clearly outranks relationships.
Better alternatives - plenty of leaner, cheaper solutions care about user success and win renewals through engagement, *not ambush billing*.
If a vendor never checks whether you’re getting value - or why you aren’t -between invoices, they don’t deserve your budget. There are many alternative products; do your due-diligence before committing.

Privacy Team Cannot Be Contacted
Logging into this website and viewing the Request Details asks me to contact the "Privacy Team" for more information. Who is this Privacy Team and what is their contact? The information given is very vague. I cannot even tell why it wanted me to log-in to view the information as it simply tells me information that I input into it myself. This appears to be a pointless and redundant system.
Painfully slow support who won't cancel my account
I've had problems logging into my account and have therefore been liaising with the support team to try to cancel for over a month now. Surely this is a quick, basic task for them to do - the customer support team is woefully slow.

Must be the absolutely worst developer experience I've ever had with any tool, and I've been a developer for 10 years now. Languages don't update randomly, all the settings are spread out in multiple parts of the system and support is non-existent.
Scam Company
Scam company. As a consumer visiting sites that use this company’s software, I’ve been promoted to update my privacy preferences and always shut off non-essential data collection. However, the only option to confirm and continue is ‘accept all and continue’. After selecting that option, which is the only one available, it turns back on data collection and selling for the website. This is a con, scam, deceptive, and totally unethical.

This company sells your information to companies like Health Advisors. Now I get more that 10 calls a day offering "financial assistance." They are all scammers.
ZeroTrust
After months this bad, untrustworthy company has not provided my lawful privacy information, not responded to requests, and does not provide any avenue whatsoever to ask why. Their emails and phones are a farce.
Bogus Orwellian sickness when the privacy company is more untrustworthy than the company they represent. Do anything you can to avoid the horror of this massively customer unfriendly outfit that is lambasted by employees in reviews.

Of all thge Cookies regulators on line, there is one that is so frustrating to encounter that it prompts me to get out every time: OneTrust’s interface is so purposely ambiguous that it is either not possible to opt out or impossible to tell if you have opted out or accepted their cookies. I REFUSE to deal with a company that is so clearly conniving to scam me. I prefer to skip the website. Anyone hiring this company is just as guilty as the instigator for trying to extract data from their clients without true consent. DEEP SCAMMERS ALL.
