The staff is amazing here, and I love my new glasses.
I loved everything about my experience with Ollie Quinn. I was left alone (in a very good way) to browse around (I hate it when the sales staff keep offering help when you just want to try glasses on your own) and then, when I made my choice, they were super helpful and efficient. My glasses were ready in 10 days and again, the staff was super helpful, explaining how to get used to my new progressive prescription. The glasses are good quality and I'm very satisfied with them and the prescription, especially since my correction is not a common one.
Overall very happy with the service and the glasses I chose. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they shipped out my glasses without the nose pads and no one at the shop checked them before calling me in. I understand mistakes happen but was disappointed to come all the way into town and the realize they would need to be shipped back across the country to have the nose pads installed. So instead of waiting two weeks for new glasses I had to wait a full month for my glasses. My preference would have been to wait aprox a week instead and if a mistake happened with my order that someone had checked it over before phoning me in. Otherwise the staff are friendly and very helpful.
It's always a five star experience because the Commercial Drive staff are great. Thank you!

Purchased 2 pairs of eyewear, with progressive/transition lenses. Both The lenses were wrong prescription! Also, they were over one month to pick up! The lenses were also poorer quality than 6 years ago (first OQ purchase). The staff in Ottawa are all temp foreign workers now. Very Poor spoken english, knowledge of company, or helpful solutions to my complaints. Made 3 trips to both store locations for some resolution. Crickets each time! Their addresses used for main office locations are both sketchy looking! This company looks to have changed to sketchy ownership perhaps!
First time customer Vancouver kits location -love the frames but the lenses are always dirty no matter how often I clean them. Went back and complained and they replaced the lenses but the issue continues. I was advised there is nothing more they can do. I wouldn't go back and now have to go to another company to replace the lenses. So disappointed.
Recently, I received excellent service from Ollie Quinn at the Commercial Drive location. I want to thank Jim for assisting me and resolving the outstanding issue I had with my Glass. I have been with Ollie Quinn for over 15 years and always appreciate their work. Ollie Quinn, thank you again for having professional employees such as Jim to assist your clients. I really appreciate your service.
The worst optician I have ever used. Their glasses are badly made - flimsy arms, bad hinges and a coating that cracks easily in mild heat (like being left in your car glove compartment on a sunny day). They refuse to replace or repair even though the products are clearly faulty.
On top of this they made my wife’s glasses to the wrong prescription, and tried to gaslight her into believing her eyes had changed in the 2 months since her check up. Before they admitted they had got them wrong.
And they gave me the wrong set of frames and tried not to change them. The staff here in the UK seem to all be totally disinterested in their work. The exception are the actual opticians, who are very professional and nice.
Ollie Quinn glasses are drastically overpriced for what they offer, leaving customers feeling like they’re paying premium prices for subpar products. The frames are extremely flimsy and lack the durability you'd expect at their price point. Within weeks of purchasing, my pair started to show signs of wear, and the hinges felt loose despite careful use. It’s clear that the materials used are not up to par with competitors in the same price range. For the cost, I expected a product that not only looked good but also held up to everyday use, and Ollie Quinn falls short on both fronts.
Adding to the disappointment, my experience with the staff at the Calgary location was far from pleasant. They were dismissive, unhelpful, and seemed more interested in pushing sales than providing genuine customer service. When I raised concerns about the fit and quality of the glasses, I was met with indifference and an unwillingness to address the issue. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction made an already frustrating experience even worse. Overall, Ollie Quinn failed to deliver on both product quality and customer service, leaving me deeply dissatisfied.

The entire team was exceptional. Mike (Manager) was charismatic in his approach, insightful and professional. Kate was personable, warm and very patient member of this team. Shane the resident Optometrist spent much time explaining the process and my prescription patiently and ensuring I understood. I would suggest Shane was by far the the most attentive and thorough optometrist I have encountered.
I can thoroughly recommend the Bristol Branch for their seamless, stress free and personable service and for the range and quality of very stylish frames and lenses.

Hi, I traveled to Ottawa from Montreal to purchase my glasses from you. My Eyeglass prescription is way too high to order them online. And had a truly fantastic experience with your team at the Richmond Rd location. I believe the woman who helped me is Di. She was patient and thoughtful, informing me of all the pros and cons of my choice of frames. Her kindness and care were lovely to experience, as were the other women working with her. Another customer entered the store while I was paying for my purchase. He was not a charming person and was short with the sales associates. They took it in stride, calmly and with competence. I know firsthand how challenging it is to work with the public, especially when working with a customer's vulnerabilities. Bravo to the Richmond Rd team! PS My customer care online with Andy, who recommended I visit Ottawa and quickly responded to all my questions regarding my online order, was also friendly and professional. People in these jobs deserve to be recognized and, unfortunately, are not given the respect and thank you they deserve. Thank you, Ollie Quinn, for the excellent customer care and for finding these lovely humans as part of your team

Firstly, even though I photocopied the prescription they would not use it because I did not photocopy the signature, so it meant I needed to have another eye exam. After getting an exam I took my frames to be reglazed, two week later I went to pick them up.
When they brought them out, they said I would have to come back because one of the lenses had a scratch. That was not a problem because it can happen. When I was shown the glasses, I thought something was wrong, it turned out to be the colour of the lens, this was not the same as I had before. I did not realise the colour was not correct until after my second problem.

The second problem, the prescription was wrong, it was supposed to be varifocal but there was no reading section in the lens, I only found out when I was looking at a receipt from an item, I bought in a shop 40 minutes later. I realised I could not read it. So took them back and got a refund… not a good experience and it made me quite sad as I have used them for a very long time. Sorry to say they have now lost me as a customer.
I am a full time student studying on scholarship and purchased a pair of glasses from Ollie Quinn because of the competitive pricing. After only two days the left arm on my glasses broke off the frame. I brought the glasses to a Ollie Quinn boutique and asked if I could simply buy a replacement arm or pay for a repair and was told I needed to buy a whole new set of frames. So here I am a broke university student who thought he was saving some money now out 100$ more than had he purchased frames elsewhere. The worst part for me is that the replacement frames I was given have damage on them that I didn’t notice when buying them. I would advise the company to provide spare arms, screws, and parts in general if possible. On a positive note the staff at the two locations I have been to were wonderful and overall I love the aesthetic of the glasses.
I have had the most sub-par experience with customer service in recent memory with Ollie Quinn. I ordered a pair of glasses that help prevent migraines for myself and my mother who both suffer from them. A week after purchase they informed me that the price of the glasses increased and that I had to pay the difference. When I asked them to honour the price I paid on the website and charged on my card, instead of either honouring the price or offering some sort of discount for the inconvenience, they simply canceled my order. I will very unlikely ever order from Ollie Quinn or ever recommend them to my peers. I am very disappointed.
Love my new sunnies, and was even pleasantly surprised by the unique case! Everything is high quality and the excellent customer service was the cherry on top.
