Lesson learned

Bought a plaid shacket, on sale, gave it away and wanted another one, no longer available. Did some digging on the web and found it on Amazon. It came yesterday...the exact same jacket $40 less than the one from this shop that was on sale! Buy from a Canadian shop, hell ya, getting ripped off from a Canadian shop....shame on you!!

I strongly advise avoiding Olivia & James Vancouver. In my experience, this does not appear to be a legitimate business. The items I received looked nothing like what was advertised online—the quality was extremely poor, the sizing was inaccurate, and nothing matched the photos on their website.
Their return “policy” is deeply concerning and feels intentionally structured to prevent customers from getting their money back. You are forced to forfeit a significant portion of what you paid, or ship items back overseas at your own expense—something that is not clearly disclosed before purchase.
Based on my experience, this operation comes across as deceptive and misleading, and consumers deserve to be warned. I believe this website should be reported to the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection agencies.

SCAM!!! Don't but anything from these scammers! Their products SUCK - they are cheap pieces of garbage that look nothing like advertised and use crappy, cheap material. Arms were WAY to short - not human proportions. They will refund you max 25% after you realize it's impossible to return the item to them - they give you a PO BOX address in the Netherlands that no shipping company even recognizes as being real. Total scam crap.

Do not buy anything from this so called company. They are a complete scam.

SCAM! they sent me the lowest quality shoes that I immediately wanted to return. one of the shoes got damaged in transit from horrible packaging (the shoes smushed on top of each other in plastic--no box) and they had the gaul to dispute this in email. now replying that it is on me to pay for the return to CHINA btw, which is such a painful process that will probably end up costing more money it's not worth it in the end. dont order from them!

The dresses are ordered were see through, ill fitting, or not at all like the photo on the website. I spent $70 to return them, exactly as instructed. It was returned to me.

Absolute scam! Ordered sweaters - received graphic printed polyester shirts at $59.99 EACH. Shipped their trash back to their company on my $ for an additional $69.89. Even if I lose the shipping money, I did the right thing by getting their crap out of my home! I’m good for my word. I’ve reported them to my bank and am planning on reporting them to Pinterest. Buyer BEWARE!

SCAM! If I could give 0 stars I would. This is a fraudulent company representing themselves as a Canadian brand. The clothing was extremely cheap & poor fitting, customer service will not refund the order as a state they will on their website & say you must ship back to the Netherlands for a 10% refund.

SCAM!!!! Markets the company as a Vancouver based company. Took 2 months to receive order. Order was cheap junk shipped from China. Requested a refund. They say you have to pay for shipping and ship back to the main office in the Netherlands. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE!!!!!! SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waiting 6 weeks to get very poor quality. You can’t trust anyone. Bring back more box stores. Only way you can actually see the quality. This place is such a scam. Stay away.

Do NOT ORDER through this company. They make it sound local, take forever to ship, quality is extremely poor then tell you returns have to be sent back to the Netherlands! It forces you to keep the item as returns are far more expensive! SCAMMERS with a FAKE "local" storefront using fake photos .

They now operate as James and Olivia but still a scam. I ordered shoes that took 5 weeks and were nothing like the picture. Very cheap

This company is a SCAM. Do not buy! Cheap products made and shipped from china. Company will not do a return unless deemed “defective. After the scams were reported they changed the website to a company called Avery Montreal.

garbage. The items I received are very low quality, after waiting a month for them to be delivered. I can understand waiting some time for delivery, but not a month for the lowest quality I have seen in clothing articles to date. The description described a cozy jacket, but the item I received is actually paper thin material resembling a wind breaker with a cheap zipper. The boots are made of thin plastic. VERY disappointing.

Fake Vancouver storefront. Rain jacket took 6 weeks to arrive, did not look like style in picture, extremely cheap fabric and construction. This is a fraudulent site.

What a scam. My package w iced today after more than a month. The sizing is off from the measurements in the website, the supposed winter jacket wouldn’t protect during any bad weather. So flimsy and disappointing.

Ordered product more than 4 weeks ago and still have not received it. Contacted vendor to cancel order and all they report is that it is in transit. Terrible service and this is not a Canadian company as the website depicts.

I waited 40 days for my order — forty days! — only to receive a jacket made from cheap, flimsy material. I honestly feel foolish for spending $$$ on something that looks nothing like what was shown online.

Olivia & James, this is unacceptable. If you want customers to trust your brand, deliver what you promise.

To anyone thinking about buying from them — beware. What you see online is not what you’ll get.
