Honest and transparent prop firm with real‑exchange trading on Bybit
I’ve been meaning to write a detailed review of OldMoney Prop Firm for a while — now I finally have something to share.
The first thing I like is that the rules are transparent. There are no hidden conditions that suddenly appear after you buy an account. They offer three challenge types to choose from: two‑phase, single‑phase, and instant funding — the last one gives you access to the funds immediately, without having to complete separate stages.
I went with the single‑phase challenge and I trade via the Bybit API. This is probably the biggest plus for me: the quotes come straight from the exchange (not simulated), the connection is secure, and you don’t need to install any extra software. Trading on a real exchange gives a completely different level of trust.
What pleasantly surprised me is that you can hedge, average down without stop‑losses, and use options — all without restrictions. There is no altcoin limit, and opening positions directly on Bybit is very convenient. I personally trade in a classic style — with stop‑losses and nothing exotic — but the fact that the platform does not block these strategies feels honest and unusual for most prop firms.
I haven’t received a payout yet — I’m on the last step before finishing my first phase. But even at this stage, everything feels fair and rule‑based, with no unpleasant surprises.
Would I recommend OldMoney? Yes, more than no. I’ve tried quite a few prop firms, and in most of them you sooner or later discover hidden pitfalls buried in the rules. So far, everything here feels transparent — and that’s worth a lot.
