I downloaded a couple of games. There were no instructions for how to install or run them. I extracted the files and clicked the "Start the game" batch file and got windows warnings, which I ignored. Eventually, the game and music appeared, but it was mostly off the screen, there was no mouse pointer, nothing was working, so I Esc out, with more Windows warning messages. I guess I should have taken the lack of installation instructions as a warning.

Non è una truffa. I download scaricati funzionano regolarmente. Se non si paga i download sono molto lenti. Se si paga i download sono veloci. In alcuni siti i download sono gratis. In altri siti come questo si paga. Ma non ci trovo niente di male nel pagare una piccola cifra. Visto che per fare funzionare un vecchio videogame in un pc nuovo con Windows 11 (sto scrivendo nel maggio 2024), bisogna avere determinate competenze informatiche e ci vuole tempo e lavoro per farlo. Inoltre si può pagare con Paypal. E se c'è qualche problema, si può fare ricorso con Paypal. Io ho pagato il download di un giorno e ho potuto scaricare una trentina di vecchi videogames che mi interessavano. Soddisfatto e consigliato. Un ultima cosa da segnalare: il link del sito old-games.com di Trustpilot, non funziona e andrebbe corretto.

Tried the same dowload twice without luck, no file on my compuer or in my Downloaded files tab, yet it still used up my 2 free dowloads that day.

Waited til after midnight, still says ive used up my 2 free downloads. Feels strange I wouldn't be able to download it until late at night the next day.

Old-Games.com has a very very big archive of old PC games, as I said above and it should be noted that even the most inexperienced PC user whom are looking to collect some of there classics from their childhood and don't know where to look on the internet straightaway, then this is one site that surely offers the most easy way of acquiring them for a flat rate fair payment for unlimited downloads for either a day or the whole month.

Many of the games that are older (such as the older DOS games) come with an easy setup bat file that helps to run them, even on a modern OS and that is something many other abandonware sites do not provide as extra help or the effort on their end, great for those who are not familiar with using and setting up DOS Box alone. There is much confusion along the internet on some forums as to what they are charging for? The games or downloads? More less what I suspect is to keep the site running as it must be expensive to keep it going with such a large archive of games that they have. I personally myself have actually downloaded some DOS games from Old-Games.com and only because the easy setup feature they included to help launch the game and play them with no problems in the long run and they did indeed worked very well on my Win10 OS. Also you may actually find very rare games on this site compared to what other abandonware sites have to offer.

You pay for the service, more less and the time it would save you from searching all over for games that have been abandoned and became a relic overtime for a older PC.

Clean webpage and clean interface with a good search feature and just about every genre of game you can think of that is available. They have many rare titles and the selection just massive. I can recommend to give them a try some time if you have an extra 7.95 laying around and see for yourself what they have to offer.

Great site to download old classics from 80s to about 2010. Most of the games are converted to work on modern systems, the rest come with instructions. No 100% success but still great source.

I downloaded a few games. Nothing works. No help getting the games to work. No link to customer service

Scam. Gives instructions on how to open game after having to download loads of other software, even then the dumb extractor it comes in doesn't even extract. No way to contact, avoid

Scam! I started a download of a game that I had been looking for for a long time (Ultimate Battleship) and almost immediately my AV picked it up as a virus.

Obvious scam site, the digital equivalent of a dodgy market trader. Most of the people writing reviews here seem to be under the misapprehension that this site is a legitimate store.
This is what is known as an "abandonware" website. Normally abandonware sites provide the games for the more noble purpose of preservation, not charging money and not claiming to be legitimate. This site crossed the line into scam artistry when they decided to charge money for games they have no rights to.

did the 30 days downloaded one game. tried extracting it. DOESNT WORK. DO NOT BUY. I FEEL SCAMMED

It's definitely Not a scam! I recommend to get yourself a month subscription, it's totally worth it! I got all my childhood games back. I'm really glad to have found this site. Also i can tell you that without subscription your download will probably not start at all. But hey if you download just 3 games you got your money back. Makerd behind Old games are truly heroes!

i am trying to download just a single game from 5 days , it gives u 5 kbps speed still i do not mind let it take 24 hours to download but..... this not end here , due to network error i try to resume it when it stuck but they say sorry please purchase our umlimited pack u have exceed our download limits and me was like wow without downloading any single file nice!!!! now I am gonna give last try lets see what happen on 6th day

I have 8 games from them. I thought it was a good website until my antivirus detected viruses in one of the games (Majesty). terrible, do not recommend.

Eight bucks for one game would be a great deal - eight bucks for 2+ games is awesome in my book, and I consider it money well-spent. Downloaded the Easy-Setup versions of six games so far over the course of three weeks (getting a day-pass each time - should have 'splurged' for the month-pass but oh well), on a Windows 10 laptop and they all work great. Super happy!

(I did run into the problem of a download slowing down to snailspeed once, tried again a few hours later and it went full-speed again, so I'm chalking that one up to bad luck or busy servers. It happens.)
