I’ve been using Nutshell for a couple years now, first as a general user and now an admin too. It gets daily use from me and not having it would make my life so much more needlessly difficult. It truly solves a lot of minor problems and makes managing the larger issues much simpler. Having it interface with our existing system is amazing and saves a ton of time and expense for not having to migrate things from a legacy system.

My overall experience with Nutshell CRM has been excellent. It’s genuinely easy to use, which means I spend less time clicking around and more time selling. The interface is clean, modern, and intuitive, and I can see exactly where deals sit in the pipeline at a glance. Forecasting feels straightforward, not like a separate project, and the visibility it gives my team into next steps and momentum is a big win. It doesn’t feel bloated or overly complex, yet it covers what most teams actually need day to day. Honestly, it’s a hidden gem.

I love the organization and filter features, as well as sequence email options and customer communication tracking. I wish it would load faster and have ways to lable contact information (in the case of multiple emails - the * feature doesn't do enough sometimes)

Effective quick way to view all potential partners throughout the entire sales process, easy to prioritize partnerships by value and key objectives within each partnership. The ability to sync communications with emails is valuable to reduce double documentation. There are opportunities to better support partnerships post-sale in CRM-based functionalities and reporting.
Key to my small business growth
I've been using Nutshell for 4+ years, and it's been instrumental in helping me grow my businesses. In fact, I feel that my business has grown along with Nutshell as they continue to improve their product, adding new tools and features that I can quickly and efficiently implement to bolster my sales and client management. I originally switched to Nutshell to save money (from Hubspot), and I've found that for my small business, it excels at everything I need it to do. A proper win-win solution!

Nutshell has been a good fit for our business overall. It does a strong job of covering the CRM fundamentals without becoming overly complex, which makes it easy for a small team to use consistently. The interface is clear and intuitive, and it does not feel bloated with features we do not need. One of the standout aspects has been customer support, which is always fast, friendly, and genuinely helpful when questions arise.
There are areas where the product could improve. Reporting is fairly basic and could offer more depth, and we eventually had to move away from the built-in web forms due to limited tracking and attribution. As we grow, there are also some open questions around how well the platform will scale for larger or more complex requirements.

Nutshell helped our company immensely on streamlining the operations. It's pretty intuitive, therefore pretty easy to integrate it with your day-to-day work and get other colleagues used to it.
Good for Beginners and Pros, Alike
This is my first time using a CRM. It's been an easy transition due to the simple and intuitive format and design. I love the "duplicate" checks that verify a client isn't getting added twice.

I had high hopes but they crashed down when they kept my data
"I want to clarify that this is not a review for Nutshell Insurance. This company is Nutshell in Ann Arbor, MI, a division of WebFX, Inc. They are a CRM company.
When I signed up for Nutshell, I had high hopes as I was looking for an easy CRM. However, I didn't ask whether I could export my data in the same format it was imported in. Unfortunately, Nutshell doesn't provide this feature, although they claim they do. All you get is a zipfile with six files that don't match up. We are missing the most important part of our database, which is our updates.
Although they have help articles titled "How to export...", it doesn't mention that when you do a full export, your database comes out in a mix of puzzle pieces that don't align, even if you try to merge the data yourself into one spreadsheet.
It seems like they are withholding my data, and this could be a tactic to keep clients who pay on a monthly basis. How can anyone leave if they can't get back their data in the same format and order it went in? I am now researching my legal rights, which is frustrating because I will have to pay legal fees just to get a simple report out of my own database. This is ridiculous.
Moreover, I found personal emails from my employee's personal computers on one of the reports from Nutshell. I am concerned about how they obtained that information. What are they doing with our computers when we are in their database? I have filed a complaint with the FTC.
