Nishani Amerasinghe Arvostelua 

I have been a patient of Ms Amerasinghe for a couple of years and recently had bilateral laser trabeculoplasty carried at by her at the Nuffield. Her professionalism, care and consideration is excellent as are the staff of the Nuffield and not forgetting Ms Amerasinghe secretary.

I was recently treated by Ms Amerasinghe at the Wessex Nuffield Hospital for cataracts in both eyes which were operated on in November. I was brilliantly looked after at all stages and I cannot recommend too highly Ms Amerasinghe. She is an excellent surgeon, very helpful and caring. I cannot believe how well I can see now. I have since had my eyes tested at opticians for reading glasses and was told that the surgeon had done an excellent job and I had the eyesight of a 16 year old. So once again many thanks.

I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Amerasinghe at The Nuffield Hospital, Chandlers Ford when I was referred to her in September 2019 for bi-lateral cataract surgery, with sedation.
Miss Amerasinghe is a delightful lady with a great sense of humour. Her expertise and professionalism is second to none.
I would also like to mention Miss Amerasinghe’s secretary, Sarah Ripley, without whom I may not have proceeded as I was particularly anxious about the upcoming procedure. Sarah was extremely patient and supportive during the lead-up to the procedure and I am eternally thankful to her for this.
I can highly recommend Miss Amerasinghe to anyone who is considering this procedure as the outcome is exceptional.
I saw my Optometrist for an eye test for reading glasses in December and she tells me I have almost 20/20 vision and she doesn’t want to see me for two years! It is certainly a ‘miracle’ operation - I can see so very well again and have ceased tripping up kerbs and up and down stairs! I should state that I am 70 years of age.

On visiting my 86 year old Mother (who was convinced she was going blind which in turn made her extremely depressed) and discovering that she had been experiencing punishing Bilateral bletharitis whilst undergoing treatment for Glaucoma over the past 6 month with no apparent improvement, an appointment was made and within 6 weeks, not only had Nishani Amerasinghe discovered what was causing the allergic reaction but prescribed a new medication which was highly effective. Our profound thanks to Nishani Amerasinghe (Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon) who has made an old lady enjoy life again.

I’m extremely pleased with the outcome from both procedures, now seeing things not seen for years. Previously recorded reviews giving five stars say it all, very professional, caring and efficient etc. I made the right choice when selecting a consultant.

Very professional, extremely efficient, very sympathetic and caring. Explained the whole procedure very clearly, made time to answer my questions and concerns.

Ms Amerasinghe was superb in every way for my recent cataract operation. She explained everything clearly, was very caring and careful in deciding the best thing to do with my rather complicated eyes, including seeing me again before coming to a decision, and was extremely reassuring but honest at every step. The outcome is excellent.

My optician (Virginia Graham of Specsavers Romsey) highly recommended Ms Amerasinghe as the person to consult about the eye problems she observed. I found her recommendation totally justified. Ms Amerasinghe was extremely professional whilst being warm, friendly and interested in me as a person, not simply a pair of eyes.
