I'm a writer and educator. I first discovered NightCafe three years ago when screenwriter and teacher Jurgen Wolff gave an online seminar about AI tools for screenwriters. He showed the attendees NightCafe and how we could design concept art for screenplay locations, scenes, and characters. In essence, storyboarding and visual inspiration. I fell in love. I used it to create settings and characters for my novels, especially my Webnovels and my scripts. Eventually, I designed book covers. Very professional-looking. even had people honor me with fan art!

Beyond the creative writing benefits, NightCafe is a fun community where you can compete in a friendly way in challenges, including ones by users. There is a very strong and loyal community, and we all support each other's creative efforts. The site always introduces new models and tips and tricks to get the most out of creations. The site is good natured and users don't take it too seriously. There's a sense of fun. Aside from community LoRAs, various models for everything from worlds in teacups to cyberpunk, there are new templates to help you create more precisely, If you can afford them, the subscriptions are a definite advantage with loyalty drops and access to PRO models.

Je faisais des images IA avec un autre site qui a fermé , et j'ai eu du mal à en trouver un autre..Après beaucoup d'essais , je suis arrivé sur Nightcafe qui m'a apporté ce que je recherchais. On peut tellement faire de belles choses , chacun suivant son style !!!!Il n'y a pas que des images , mais des vidéos aussi....Il y a beaucoup de choix dans des modèles ...Je pense que beaucoup de monde peut y trouver son bonheur ....Cela fait plus d'un an que j'y suis , je vais vers les 2 ans et je ne regrette pas..

Je ne comptent plus les projets pour lesquels j'ai utilisé Nightcafe, et pour le plaisir aussi bien entendu!

At first I started working with ChatGpt, because there were other possibilities beside creating images. But after a while it got a bit the same all the time, and the quality of textures became horrible in GPT. So I worked already as a free member with Nightcafe and decided to give it a try with a simple membership. WOW.... I was seeing all the amazing stuff and creations from others but then... bit by bit I started creating beautiful images too. The imagination and possibilities are endless and there is not a day going by that I don't create 👌 It is a wonderful world and my creativity is motivated each day by the challenges. I AM SO happy with everything one can do on Nightcafe. 👌👌👌🌹

What they allow as prompts have been become so restrictive it’s not an option for creative work they block just regular prompts. I spent hundreds of dollars on one of their top packages then the rule seemed to change and I can hardly do anything with it.

For example, it would not even let me make a picture with this prompt because it was against their rules

Use the free stuff, but if you’re a serious creator, this is not the place for you

I was having some account issues and reached out to them. Given prior experiences with many other AI companies I wasn't expecting much. They gave me immediate, detailed responses and corrected my concern pretty much immediately. Best CS experience I've ever had.

Let's make this easy. If you like Censorship, then this is the site for you. Censorship of thought and of words, I never thought that the word "sexy" would be considered unsafe content.

This is my third and final review.

The first was positive – written in response to a free credits incentive apparently offered to all new account holders.

After a year of ongoing struggle with moderators and staff about not-safe/suitable-for work (NSFW) content, I decided to edit my review to more accurately reflect my experience at NightCafé. By then I had received several warnings about 1) over-zealously reporting NSFW images, and 2) questioning management’s decision to permanently suspend a popular community game host for allegedly contravening community standards on child safety.
Eventually, I was temporarily suspended for two weeks in October 2024, which is when I edited my review.

This is a completely new review triggered by a second two-week suspension.

Over the past year or so, the Australian government’s eSafety Commission has been phasing in codes of conduct and standards for online platforms. NightCafé is an Australian company. On 9 March 2026, the code and standards for end-user-managed online hosting services came into force

Since returning to the platform in December 2025, I have made a point of creating images to raise awareness of the code and standards, and to draw attention to the proliferation of NSFW images on NightCafé’s website. Whis is why I have been temporarily suspended for a second time – ostensibly for harassing moderators, among other things.

According to management, “NightCafe’s legal and compliance obligations are reviewed and managed internally with guidance from legal counsel. We do not provide case-by-case explanations of regulatory compliance in response to individual user inquiries. Platform policies, reporting systems, filtering, and moderation processes are implemented in accordance with our operational and legal requirements. These matters are not determined through user interpretation or public advocacy.”

As a woman, I find the abundance of soft porn on the NightCafé website demeaning and offensive. I know that many other platform users share my sentiments. I have done everything possible to draw attention to this – initially by corresponding directly with management and moderators and, more recently, by generating protest images.

The damage done to the psyches of many women by female objectification in the media is well documented. I can no longer be associated in any way with a service whose management deliberately ignores that. I have therefore closed my account.

I subscribed to NightCafe based on a strong first impression of the product, and from a purely technical standpoint, the image quality can be very good.
Unfortunately, my initial experience with support and documentation left me with no confidence in the company’s integrity.
I ran into prompt restrictions when using character-based tools and contacted support for clarification. The initial explanation focused heavily on recreating real individuals and consent, which reasonably led me to clarify that my characters were myself and a fully fictional character. In later responses, support stated that consent, real vs. fictional status, and self-representation are irrelevant because the same restrictions apply universally.
While NightCafe maintains that these explanations were not contradictory, from a user perspective they clearly were. It took multiple back-and-forths to surface the actual scope of the restriction, which could have been communicated clearly from the outset. Instead of acknowledging that their communication caused confusion, support became defensive and selectively quoted prior messages to deny any inconsistency.
I can accept strict safeguards. I can accept limited documentation. What I cannot accept is a company that refuses to acknowledge when its own explanations mislead customers. That lack of transparency matters more to me than how good the product is.
I will continue using the service until my subscription ends, but I will not be renewing.

Night café used to be much easier to use. As of 2026 there are too many models., there have been too many changes, some of these things causing me to lose interest because it just keeps expanding, and I can’t keep up with it. It’s still a pretty good platform, but could use some pruning back in my opinion.. you can’t keep going forward and leaving other people behind.

After several years of using NightCafe, my account was permanently deleted without any prior warning or explanation. There was no possibility of appeal, no discussion — it simply disappeared.

Is this how a professional company should treat long‑time users?

I strongly advise against using their services.

NightCafe has the makings of a great site, but bad owners/operators. I have two people I know that have been banned from the site. One even has a blog detailing his experience. He made a piece of art that was SFW, no nudity or anything prohibited but it showed NightCafe staff in a vignette censoring people's content. He got banned for it.

My girlfriend got banned several months back for complaining about how expensive it was on NightCafe given then number of credits you run through to get a decent image. She complained about it in one of the chats, saying that there should be a save option so that if you dislike your image you could discard it and get the credits back and that way only save and keep the ones you want to pay for. Her comment was deleted. She reposted it and it was deleted again. She commented in another chat and was suddenly banned.

"Censorship of criticism is the first sign of corruption." my father used to say. I find it very disturbing the lack of professionalism displayed by the NightCafe management.

Normal corporations would take criticism and engage with the customer and either explain the reasons they do what they do or try to make it better. Most companies understand that if one person is vocal, others silently have the same concerns.

The other thing that bothers me is the use of banning. Most companies adhere to a form of due process. There is a warning first. If the problem does not resolve, there is a suspension. If the problem still doesn't resolve there is a ban, but NightCafe seems to jump to "indefinite" bans.

Banning should not be an option from the outset. These are customers.

I would say avoid this site because of the corporate practices. Apparently, Australia needs a good lesson in corporate professionalism.

Worst moderators and customer treatments I have ever experienced.

As a creative tool NC is great, and the community is goood... apart from there being to many hatefull trolls that are never taken care of.

I would not recomend NC, simply because you never know when you'll get banned... and you will loose all your work... Find a placer with better moderators.

Unfortunately I have had bad experiences with night cafe Constant spam campaign doesn't make me happy The constant harassment about simple prints is also considered unacceptable and blocked. But the worst part is that you never get what you describe in your prompt, or something is missing from your illustraties but i never compleet free no way
You cannot reasonably participate in the free points you receive, given the bad illusions, for example, the lack of a bow for someone who plays the violin or has 2 violins

NC baited me to their platform by offering no expiry credits for things like daily art contests. NC kept me coming back to their platform daily with promise of non expiring credits. I have earned 6k in credits and have been on their leaderboard streak for over a year. I have over 100 followers and people love my art. I never use their "chat" feature because this is not Facebook or AOL chat rooms, especially when everyone in these chats are very immature. 3 days ago NC did a switch of terms and are now deleting every free user earned credits within 3 months. By broadcasting platform to US, they are obligated to comform with US law. I expressed my opinion about legality of bait and switch of US user pool in their "General Chat" where I was told to speak by the admin of "Questions Chat". I didn't say it was any fact. I said that was my opinion about credits issue at NC. For that, the moderators insulted me, stalked me throughout different chat rooms, while deleting my rational speech he was writing lies about me trying to get to me through harassment, banned my account that was on a streak leaderboard for over a year. For speaking the truth in a chat. This is a group of immature people who are putting a big damper on AI communities. Giving AI companies a bad name. Censoring honest speech in "general chat". They are a fake, toxic community ruined by tormentor mods who truly act like they are typing from an insane asylum. Some of the most triggered people you will ever come across. They lured people with fake gifts and are now taking away what they gave away to build up their user base. And anyone who doesn't like it gets their account banned for speaking their opinion in an open general chat... Samsung for example, a real world class company, has a thread where people can freely discuss things they don't like about Samsung in an open room to ALL Samsung website users. They don't censor you, or insult you because they stand by their products. Me getting banned for speech just shows how insecure they are, easily triggered, and how terrible they are to honest speech. They called it trolling while the definition of trolling is speech for personal comedy. There was nothing comical about what I said. After they told me to take it off their chat room, I created my own chat room to discuss credit deletion issue between users. They stalked me to my own chat room and closed it. The only people who were disrupted by my speech are the mods. The mods are not there to be a tier above all sensitive feelings. In US, if i think a class action for behavior contradicting US law might be a course, I cannot be threatened for speaking my mind about the possibility of Bait And Switch happening when it comes to generating their user pool. In US, even if the judge finds there's no bait and switch i cannot be legally held responsible for bringing it up to court and for gathering a class of a aggrieved users. So, again, for sake of honesty, I repeat that it is solely my opinion, I never said it was any fact, and if they have not done anything wrong then they shouldn't be scared to the point of stalking me, insulting me, censoring me while writing nasty lies about me, and banning my account because of an opinion they don't like. Here I date and state that if/when, a class action arises, I am to be in tier 1 of aggrieved parties.

NightCafe is using a 'ten-person team' excuse to mask standard enshittification.
Their March update RETROACTIVELY expires credits users ALREADY earned and cuts daily rewards by 50% to 'offset costs' for Pro models that free users CAN'T EVEN ACCESS. It’s a transparent tax on the core community to subsidize a paywalled service. If a team can't stay sustainable without stealing EARNED user rewards; they've lost the plot. Avoid this platform until they remember who built it.

I also received a rather unexpected message my account had been deleted.
I did however receive a polite email the following day, with a survey as to why I cancelled my pro account, and an offer to renew my subscription in case I'd changed my mind. Annual plans now available. I think I'll pass, but thanks for the offer?

Ora con poche parole riesco a creare tutto ciò di cui ho bisogno facendo anche bella figura coi miei giocatori.
