New motor and circuit board posted out same day, arriving from UK to Australia in less than 3 days. 60 GBP and the grinder is working again for about AUD $125 including postage.
Sure, would have been better not to break in the first place, but impressed with the speed of service and relative affordability of the parts.
Nice to see a company standing behind their product in this day and age. Saved me trashing the grinder - well done niche.

In July 2020, I discovered Niche through a crowdfunding site.
I immediately bought four coffee grinders. I've been using them every day for five years to make cold brew and all kinds of espresso with Decent machines.
It's a really great tool that truly has zero retention.
I just had a problem with one anti-pop washer today.
James sent me a replacement part in no time.
I highly recommend Niche for its quality and reliability, plus the after-sales service is top-notch.

I've had my Niche grinder for a few years now and it's an absolutely incredible grinder. I use this a few times a day and have had zero mechanical issues. I had to replace the plastic disc and the service team (James) was a pleasure to work with.

Having used the Niche Zero since 2022, it has become a daily workhorse and one that puts out grinds as uniform today as it did back then. Daily use and abuse has caught up with it and I reached out to Niche yesterday, and they have already sent out a replacement part.

Niche has been and always will be a staple and pioneering name of Third Wave coffee culture. I’ve used both the Niche Duo and Niche Zero grinders, and have been super impressed with the quality of the burrs and the attention to care and sleek design that Niche created with these grinders. They have always delivered great quality products, as well as given back to their community through giveaways, deals, and coffee education. Highly recommend this awesome company! :)

I've bought a Niche Zero back in August 2020 and I'm so happy with it, 5 years later that I am thinking to upgrade to Niche Duo.

The grinder is very easy to use, clean and maintain. If I will ever have to replace it in the future, I will definitely buy another Niche.

I have pre-ordered the grinder back in 2021 during COVID - I got it something like 6-7 months later, and it has been used daily ever since. Like everyone else here already said, the build quality, the look, the performance - they are all incredible. So why review it now, after all this time?
Today I had to contact the customer support. I lost one of the springs that were holding the dosing ring and I wanted a replacement. Figured out they might have some and might be kind enough to ship them to me (and I would pay for it). But the contact person just casually told me to grab a a hex key and open the wooden base - where I would allegedly find 2 replacement springs, safely packed and well hidden, exactly for situations like mine. I did that and io and behold, there they were. This kind of insane forsight left me speechless - and happy, since I could repair my grinder straight away. The whole experience left me with a smile on my face and I felt like telling other people about it too.

What a grinder and customer service from Niche! I've purchased my used from someone else and the grinder arrived with a broken switch. Niche was quick to respond my email and find the solution even telling me how old is my grinder. They sent me everything I needed and even sent me step by step what I had to do to change the switch. After receiving and changing, the grinder is working perfectly and I'm truly impressed by the espresso I'm making and by their customer service.

Have my Niche Zero grinder since 4 years now. Amazing results regarding dosing, accurracy and repeatability of each grinding result. Lately I had a problem with the motor-gearbox. One email to Niche (James) and within a week, new motor-gearbox together with repair instruction delivered and grinder now as good as new. Very proactive and friendly customer support also for a very recent price of the spare part, even being outside of warranty. Niche with its products and customer support can be really recommended.

I am been using Niche zero for about a year now and I enjoyed the work flow a lot every morning.

Recently, the metal switch of the grinder was broken during moving so I contact Niche. James sent me a motherboard immediately and I only need to pay for the shipping.

Outstanding - Niche has been in daily use since 2021, its been absolutely brilliant, consistent grind every time, making great coffee at home and its been faultless. Issue with the motor last week, superb support from James to try to rectify but needed a replacement. Invoice raised, motor dispatched and an easy job to swap out. less than a week from fault to remedy. The level of support and maintainability adds to how fantastic the niche is.

Wish I had gotten this earlier! It really brings out the coffee flavor more!

A friend sent me his Niche Zero that's a few years old and the toggle switch lever broke off in shipping. I contacted Niche, they shot me an invoice for the replacement, I paid and it immediately shipped to the USA. James was fantastic! No drama, fanfare, etc, just excellent support. I suspect my next grinder will be a Niche as this proved their support is quality along with their product.

I backed the Niche Zero on Indiegogo back in 2020, and it’s been an absolute workhorse—used daily for over four years without missing a beat. Recently, it finally stopped working, but the customer support from Niche was outstanding.

I received a prompt and helpful reply to my email, and after some quick troubleshooting, they suggested the motor needed replacing. I ordered the part directly from Niche at a very reasonable price—especially compared to someone on eBay trying to sell a used one for over five times the cost! The new motor arrived within 24 hours, and the clear installation instructions made the swap straightforward.

Fantastic grinder, even better support. Couldn’t be happier with the experience. Still one of the best coffee gear investments I’ve made.

Owned a Niche for over two years now and when my grinder had an issue (bean hopper or casting threading), their customer support was 10/10.

The motor and pcb died in my grinder. James at niche was extremely helpful and sent out the parts. They arrived very quickly, only cost AUD$104 and were very easy to fit. I now have a fully functional Niche Zero again.
Very happy with the service. The company obviously is very consumer focussed.

I have owned the NZ since February 2019. A faithful companion who, however, showed small signs of fatigue in June 2025 (it is used several times daily). I contacted the company and the problem was resolved very quickly (fantastic information, advice and delivery time) all for a very reasonable cost. I don't know but, frankly, it's also nice to have contact, empathy, service, ... in a word: thank you!
