First of I would like to state making money on this platform can be easy as long as you avoid the moderation team.

to be honest they are uninformed and have a lack of understanding of their own community guidelines.

here's your answer as to why I'm saying this.
as i'm writing this The community guidelines state "Do use Zoom, Teams, MyPocketSkill Meet (where available) or other online meeting platforms to conduct introductions, meetings or tutoring sessions.

However as i tried to induct a online meeting on zoom one of the platforms following the community guidelines I was told that I must use the mypocketskill platform with an explanation of "Lennox, the meetings needs to be held on the MyPocketSkill link not zoom."
or "Please use the online call facility (Lennox - there is a call button that should be very clear). Community guidelines have been shared."

Following this problem with the team I decided to contact an admin via email which explained to me that the community guidelines are out of date and that 'mypocketskill' are integrating a online call on their platform and ONLY want me to use that.

This was all the explanation I needed to understand why I was being told one thing when the guidelines said the other. I wrote a message to the community team saying the admin explained to me 'XYZ' and that all you had to do as a team was explain the same without just telling me what to do which goes against your guidelines. shortly after this I received a message stating my ability to apply for jobs has been turned off. as if it was my mistake in the first place.

This is a long review and I don't like to leave bad reviews and never have before (check my reviews) However this moderation team 'Zara R and Clova B' deserve it and I hope they fix this and give more clarity on the situation instead of punishing people using the platform as the guidelines say to use it

MyPocketSkill is an amazing website to share practically any skill you have! Although I've mainly been working as a tutor, there are options to work as a babysitter, content creator and so much more.

I also love the way you can interact with clients directly on site, all monitored under the guidance of the Community Team to avoid sharing personal details such as phone numbers which is especially important for student tutors like me.

If you are looking for a site to share your skills or learn a new one, I would highly recommend this!

I have been using mypocketskill for my daughters guitar tutoring for almost an year and is great.
My only issue is that there is no app and all interactions with tutor needs to be accessed via website (with email notifications alerting on message). It would have been better to either have an app or get messages directly delivered in email or text message... Hence 3 star

Excellent and efficient service to find local, emerging talent. I used to secure a photographer for a leadership speaking event to a cohort of MBA students at a University.

My pocketskill was ideal for me as i never knew what i was doing making a webpage and i found this it was easy to get linked to people who can help you they do a great job and not so pricey.

I’ve been tutoring at mypocketskill for over a year now and I’ve had a great experience. The community managers are incredibly helpful and I always feel looked after. Getting paid is easy and secure. This platform has helped me pay for my driving lessons and my car. I’d recommend it to all young people looking to make extra cash!!

I found an English tutor for my daughter from MyPocketSkill. The website is quite good. I can book sessions and communicate with the tutor via the website.

I used mypocketskills to address some tech skills I was lacking, mainly around optimising my website SEO. It was really simple to write a request of the work I wanted completed. I then had brief online chats with a few of their staff to decide who I felt was the best fit for the work i needed. It was really clear how much each individual would cost for the work I needed. Once I had decided which member I wanted to work with I had a fantastic experience with a dedicated, great listener who explained everything he was working on, what he had completed and why and what he would tackle next.

This platform is brilliant. My daughter often needs help ahead of assessments, and where as I could help in the early years of subject matter, I’m getting out of my depth now! That’s where MyPocketSkill has stepped in. I have found numerous, excellent young people to do tutoring sessions with her. They have really made a difference to her understanding and attainment - it’s affordable, convenient and I can always find somebody to help her, even at short notice. Highly recommend.

I have used this platform for some adhoc business tasks. It has taken a few attempts to get the right person and understand the communication processes, but ultimately has been a huge support to my IT requirements.
