Absolute scam

I booked online for a flight, they called and said the seat were not available, but they could do different seats at an upgraded price (30% extra).
I declined and asked for my money back. They said there would be a "cancellation charge from the airline" even though the flights weren't booked!
So my choice was to pay for the more expensive seats or pay money to cancel.
Absolute SCAM and should be illegal. I will be fighting to get these fees refunded.

Dear Passenger,

Our team has carefully reviewed your case. In situations like this, seats are usually available at the fare you booked, but in your case, they unfortunately sold out at the last moment. As a result, our sales team offered you the next available option.

Regarding the cancellation, a fee of USD 25 per person was applied by the system. However, please be assured that the transaction has already been voided, and the refund amount will reflect back to your account shortly.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.

Avoid at all costs

I booked a return flight for the first time using this service and was immediately called (via WhatsApp - stange) to say my return leg “wasn’t available” — and the 'only' alternative available was several times more expensive.

When I asked for a call-back in five minutes (to rethink my plans) and was pressured with the usual “flights are selling out as we speak” line. I refused to be rushed.

By the time the operative called back, I’d already found cheaper flights elsewhere (changing the outbound date). The operative became unfriendly, curt, and insistent, expecting me to pay more via them, as he could get me "direct flights with baggage” (which is standard on that route anyway).

I obviously opted to cancel as the whole experience felt like a scam. However, I was told my card had 'already been charged' for the trip (false!) and that a refund would take a week. Before I could ask for a reference number or name, the agent hung up.

Either a scam or appalling service. Avoid at all costs.

We are truly sorry to hear about your recent experience and the frustration it has caused. Please allow us to clarify a few points:

Your booking amount was only a soft charge (pre-authorization) and was not debited from our account. This means your money is completely safe, and you can also confirm this directly with your bank.

We regret if our communication came across as pressured or unclear — that is never the experience we want our customers to have.

Our team should always provide transparent information with courtesy and patience, and we apologize if this standard was not met in your case.

Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, and we will be addressing this matter internally to ensure it does not happen again. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Absolute bait and switch operation!

Absolute bait and switch operation!! I booked a flight several weeks ago and received confirmation thinking all was good. Then a week before my flight was set to leave I wanted to log into American Airlines and use my miles for possible upgrade. They stated I was never booked on any of the flights. I called the site’s customer service agent who stated my original flights for 452.00 were no longer available, but for 836.00 they could book my on similar flights. I cannot warn you enough to stay away from this scam!

I completely understand your frustration, and I’m really sorry to hear about your experience. It’s unacceptable to deal with such confusion and sudden price hikes, especially after receiving a booking confirmation. Unfortunately, this type of situation can sometimes happen due to system errors, but it’s still a terrible experience. I hope you were able to find a resolution, and I completely agree—it's important for travellers to be cautious when booking flights. I’ll definitely be reconsidering my options after hearing about your experience. Thanks for sharing!"
