mycar Tyre & Auto - Southport Arvostelua 

Well to start everything seemed great , then I was billed for a wheel alignment I didn’t ask for and with no tyre rotation or purchase of new tyres did it even need it . Two problems that I did ask to be looked at seemed to be ignored and listed in repairs to be carried out of which I already knew about . One of these repairs was a front blinker bulb which was noted on the job sheet when I dropped the car off . I was also told that my tyres were at a stage where they needed replacing otherwise I could get booked by police, this prompted me to see a local inspection mechanic who said they still had legal life in them but was more concerned that the car was released with a faulty blinker. Regardless of these complaints the work carried out was satisfactory.

I was told my tires, purchased less than 6 months ago and with plenty of tread, needed replacing. My brakes were done 9 months ago. They are just fine, but I am told I need new pads and rotors, they can't be machined down. I was told I need a new radiator. Untrue. I did need some coolant, which I reasonably thought would be topped up in an over $400 tune up. Nope. The staff were happy to lete drive away on critically low coolant, even after asking. I asked for wipers to be replaced, didn't happen. There was no mention about a couple lights being out until service was over. That would have been nice to know, I would have possibly sprang for those. So the estimated $4,100 repair I was told was pretty urgent was deemed mostly unnecessary by my regular mechanic. The cv needs replaced, which I told the staff. I was quit condescendingly told that noise was called a cv and the entire cv joint and shaft needs replacing. Your staff needs to be educated that making up stories such as these can have dore consequences for people with less confidence, knowledge and experience. This was utterly despicable treatment.

Had two cars fitted with new tyres. Great service, efficient and precise with time estimates. The team at mycar Southport were very friendly and professional. Will definitely use mycar again should the need arise.

I took my Kia Cerato in for a wheel alignment and tyre rotation to the Southport branch on Monday, but I was told that the two front tyres had to be replaced. I agreed to this and expected that everything would be done so my trip back to Townsville would be safe.
On my way to Brisbane, the car was pulling to the left and shuddering.
I took the car to MYCAR in Toowong on Wednesday, and they found problems with the steering and that the rear right tyre had a major issue that required replacement.
The result was that the Toonong branch did a great job, and the car handled beautifully on the trip back to Townsville.
I would not take anything into the Southport branch ever again

Was originally quoted $189 for a tire replacement that was supposed to be a fixed price. Accepted the job. Took the car in only to be told they didn't have the tire that said they could replace and charged me an additional $178 to do the remainder of the job they had originally quoted for.
