mycar Tyre & Auto - East Perth Arvostelua 

For the last ten years ive loved the service at Mycar but recently I’ve been left in the dark quite often waiting for parts and quotes.
I just recently waited over 3 months for a central locking part and I am still waiting for a brake quote and rebooking.
Haven’t heard anything.
I bring my work vehicle to Mycar because of previous great service and Saturday appointments but I am having second thoughts because I seem to be the one who is always doing the chasing and I might find somewhere else to take my work car 🚗 .

Unfortunately I didn't see all the recent one star reviews and booked my car in at East Perth mycar.

When I arrived to drop off my car I was told the store wouldn't open on time because the manager was running late. Later that day they called to let me know they had picked up an oil leak and the car would be ready the next day.

I called the next day to confirm pick up. But was told the car wasn't ready. Over the next two weeks this happened six times. Each time I called I was told the car would be ready on a new date. The store never called me once to let me know that it wouldn't be ready.

After being "guaranteed" it would be ready I went into the store to pick my car up. Only to be told yet again it would take longer. With the manager telling me 'What do you want me to do about it?' and 'It is what it is'.

I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and reached out to their customer service team. The only action they took was to get the same person who stuffed me around and couldn't have cared less to leave a voice message. It's been 4 weeks and zero follow up from their customer service team.

Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!

Dropped off my atto3 for a minor service, picked it up later that afternoon. Simply got handed back the keys with no information on what they did to the car and if they upgraded the software as requested. When serviced at the BYD service Centre on handover you get a full explanationand are happy to answer any questions even calling out the technician if required.

I have gone through a number of cars and the crew at east Perth have been knowledgeable and friendly. I have been able to drop the car in and get some help same day without feeling like I have been charged for convenience. Customer service still exists.

The female caller stated I needed new wiper arms. My car is 2.5yrs old when I queried this she was dismissive almost rood. The same occurred when I collected my car. Especially when I said I would take it back to warranty for replacement and was this an MG issue as I have never replaced wiper arms, I'm actually trained in service station operations so I do know cars.!! I also witnessed this girl say the same to a women in the morning which strikes me as strange 2 sets of wiper arms needed replacing. Also 2 new tires at a cost way higher than last yr replacing 4 new on my hisbands car. She was dismissive and almost rood not wanting to offer discount or understanding of such cost shock.! I won't be bringing my cars back due to this interaction.

They couldn't do enough to help me...it was embarrassing!!

My car went into East Perth for new tyres, firstly the quote provided was not accurate for the store and they needed the car overnight to order the correct tyres in. When I collected the car the VW wheel hubs were missing from the wheels - the mechanics said the car arrived without them - this was incorrect they wheel hubs were absolutely on the car. When I opened the boot when I got home the wheels hubs (one of which was very badly scratched) where thrown in the boot! The spare tyre was literally thrown in the boot and not secured - shameful customer service from mechanics!

I was told that my tyres were not legal (2 of them) and the other 2 barely legal. I was then quoted $1,450 for a new set.

I declined as this was way over my budget. I took the car to a tyre specialist who checked them and measure the tread with me there. The front two tyres were worn but still well within legal limit and the rear two were not as worn.

My service report stated that my car was kit legal to drive but I declined the new tyres. This is misleading and I don’t appreciate being ‘shamed’ into purchasing something that is not needed. It is a bad sales technique and I won’t be using the business again.

Booked in for wiper refill but they didn't do it. Service was supposed to include checking tyre pressure but showed low pressure warning when I drove it home.

We took our van to MyCar Perth for a simple engine oil leak — a basic job on paper. Just 10 minutes after picking up the vehicle, we broke down on the highway, with the engine shaking and making loud noises.

The cause? A serious mistake by their mechanic: injectors were incorrectly refitted, and bolts had not been properly tightened. This error could have destroyed our engine and, worse, put our lives in danger while driving at highway speed.

The van was out of service for days. We lost a full week of work, including a confirmed job contract, and MyCar refused to cover the financial losses.
They admitted fault — but took no responsibility for the consequences.

To make matters worse, the receptionist was completely unprofessional, showed zero empathy, and seemed totally unprepared to handle a situation this serious.

⚠️ This garage makes dangerous mistakes on critical engine parts.
Avoid it if you care about your safety, your time, or being treated with basic respect.

Don’t be fooled by the comment suggesting to contact the Customer Care Team — obviously, the refusal to compensate for the financial losses is already coming from them.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Allowing the schedule to work round my job and school pick up. Making my live a little bit easier. Thanks to them all

Able to fit me in straight away to check dashboard lights and complete the work that day

After my tyres were replaced my tyre pressure sensors do not work, they were working when I dropped the car off. I received a call when the car was ready and was advised that they needed to be replaced and that it would cost $600
