Thorough & comprehensive, beginner friendly, Richard was great and, well, I think I showed up on the right day, the room was set for a group of four students but, we ended at two, me a beginner and another gentleman who was taking the NRA instructors course, I had two instructors and to top I shot with what I have on order, a 9 mm and, let's call him Instructor # 2 had other larger caliber guns which he was kind enough to let me shoot, so I got to empty out a coupe of .45 caliber magazines.

From classroom instruction to range etiquette, I'm extremely thankful for all of the help from American Academy of Protective Training.

I will be taking a rifle and a shotgun course in the near future, I felt comfortable and confident at the end of the day, but, it's just the start, I will continue to practice when possible and always safely.

My basic pistol course was informative and friendly, taught by a highly experienced and approachable instructor.

My classmates were pistol novices like myself, plus two veterans taking their firearms instructors course. The class was a crafty symbiotic combination skillfully structured by the course designer Mr Moreno.

Both the classroom and range sessions were thoroughly supervised. We learned a lot of safety tips in one day, and I will feel more confident and secure in handling a small firearm safely when I own one.

I would recommend
American Academy of Protective training to anyone that doesn't have the time to take a classing have do it online.There site is very user friendly and you have the ability
to work at your own pace.

Always great to learn with this company! Richard Moreno is a good teacher, very knowledgeable in the skills and subject in the NRA courses he teaches, and I highly recommend it to many people.

I highly recommend AAPT if you need firearms training or just want to improve your skills. You won’t find more competent instruction elsewhere.

Mr. Moreno is so soo sooo knowledgeable in gun safety and handling. He's vast experience makes him a great instructor, and I highly recommend his courses at any level of shooting.

The instructor was very knowledgeable and made the class painless as possible. After all, 24 hours of class time can be brutal. Overall, I will recommend American Academy if you are really intending to learn a great deal; it was an awesome experience.

Thorougly enjoyed the class. Something that really stood out is that the instructor had someone from a previous class there on his 3rd attempt to pass- I like that this wasn't just a "pay your money and you pass" joke of a course. The student, btw, still didn't pass- he had the knowledge but was shaky and uncertain on the teaching aspect. The fact that the instructor wouldn't allow someone to pass if they weren't comfortable and competent at actually teaching was something that I appreciated, knowing that if I passed I had legitimately earned it.

On top of that the instructor was an excellent shot and his practical advice on the shooting portion was exemplary. Outstanding class, and will definitely go there again for any other class that I need.
