I’m honestly fed up with Mweb at this point.

I was told earlier this month that my payment date was moved to the 15th of every month, and I’ve been following that arrangement. Now suddenly my Wi-Fi is disconnected before the 15th like I’ve done something wrong?

So what exactly is going on with your system?

Every month it’s a new problem. Customers are expected to tolerate service downtime without compensation, but the moment there’s a billing issue — even when there’s an agreement in place — you cut people off immediately with no flexibility.

I’ve tried resolving this through support, but I’m getting nowhere.

This is extremely frustrating and honestly pushing me to cancel my contract completely.

Mweb, you need to fix your billing system and start treating customers fairly.

We tried to cancell multiple times but is still paying every month after paying the cancelation fee of R1500, useless customer service, a waste of money litterly.

Mweb can come and kiss my ass I've been trying to get hold of u guys for the pass two weeks now last month I had a problem with my wifi we had move and they had to come and reinstall the wifi not long after that a wire came loose I reached out waited a few days it was fixed not and they Evan billed us extra for the time that the wifi was off our wifi was not Evan that amount i quiry that didnt really recieve any help...I'm again disconnected to my wifi since 3 of April I'm trying to live chat but my waiting hour is sometimes 5 to 6 hours and when I reach a consultant they take two hours to reply when asked y they say that they trying to make the que go quicker but no one helped me when I was waiting 6 hours for a consultant my wifi is off again now for two weeks and I'm not winning in getting help from this ppl😡

Mweb? What a disaster

My experience with MWeb has been an absolute disaster from start to finish. Since October 2025, I’ve been dealing with constant on-and-off connectivity, making the service completely unreliable. At times, I wasn’t connected at all for extended periods, yet I was still expected to pay as if everything was functioning normally.

What’s even more unacceptable is how my support tickets were handled—closed without anyone actually resolving the issue. This shows a complete lack of professionalism and respect for customers. It feels like problems are simply brushed aside rather than properly addressed.

Trying to get help was another nightmare. Calling customer care meant waiting an average of 45 minutes just to speak to someone, only to receive little to no meaningful assistance. The entire process is inefficient and incredibly frustrating.

Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the service. MWeb has proven to be unreliable, unresponsive, and careless when it comes to customer support. Cancelling their service was long overdue, and I would strongly caution others against signing up unless they’re willing to deal with ongoing issues and poor service delivery.

Mweb support is nonexistent

The support service of Mweb is beyond nonexistent. I have been trying to get hold of them since last week. You hold on for 4 hours and then the phone drops. At the moment I am still waiting for an agent to assist on line. It's been an hour. This is terrible service and we have been client's for more than 10 years. I think it's time to move to a company that actually cares.

Extremely poor service

Service is so poor that I can't even get through to the cancellations department to cancel my contract. I have waited a total of 2 hours on the phone this week, and who knows how much longer on the chat app.

No one knows what's going on with my account, and I'm having to follow up on their behalf. This company is a joke. I would not recommend it at all.

Very very poor customer service

Very very poor customer service and the online portal is nonexistent,I’m still struggling to get reconnected since yesterday,after I tried paying online and it kept on failing until I called and was on hold for an hour,finishing my airtime and they eventually gave me the Acc Nu to make a direct deposit add send pop,which I did and the agent told me that he reconnected my internet,and I should wait for 30mnts and will work,I still don’t have service today and my Acc is still showing arrears,no agent responding to my watsapp chat..I am dam frustrated right now I even want to cancel my subscription..would never recommend it to anyone.

Holding for 2 hours to report a fault…

Holding for 1 hour to report a fault then held on for 2 hours just to get the call dropped. Internet down down 3 days and now they leave us with NO INTERNET SERVICE over Easter weekend 🤬Well done Mweb. We will be canceling with you after being a customer for more than 30 years..

Being without internet for three days, especially over the Easter weekend, after already spending hours trying to get through to support, is incredibly frustrating. After 30 years with Mweb, you should be able to rely on a far more responsive and seamless experience than this.

The extended downtime combined with the dropped call after such a long wait clearly shows that this hasn’t been handled with the urgency it deserves. That’s not the level of service we aim to deliver, particularly for a long-standing customer.

We’re stepping in to take full ownership of this and ensure your fault is properly prioritised. Your connection needs to be fully assessed and restored, with clear feedback on what caused the outage and what’s being done to prevent a repeat.

To help stabilise things while this is being addressed, a quick check you can try is restarting your router and confirming whether any status lights (LOS/red light) are showing, as this can indicate whether the issue is line-related or device-related. That said, given the duration of the outage, this does need direct intervention from the network team.

Worst Service

I have never been as disappointed, after Covid the service at MWEB has gone to the dogs. It is as though they have 2 people handling queries managing 1 million subscribers, as soon as I can I will be terminating my contract with them.

Don't care a damn attitude

Firstly the customer service only lasts whilst signing up, after that you on your own. The staff I dealt with messed my entire sign up. In the process of my package taking off it was suddenly canceled. I only heard about this from another enquiry I did. The irritating thing about this was that after going through making all the arrangements to ensure my internet starts from day one, I couldn't log in and there was not internet. No one seemed to care. After making several calls and being pushed from one consultant to another and from department to department, cKls being dropped and cut off, I find out that all the time my account was cacelled because someone in Mweb punched in the wrong info and therefore it was canceled. I was only notified about this after my 12th call. I all my dealings with so many companies, I ha e never come accross a company this bad. It's shocking how management is not reachable. It's like jasu as long as they got your sign up and your. Money paid upfront, you can just wiat your no matter how long it takes. It's so sick. I my opp ion. They a bunch of idiots

Don't even deserve one star
Don't calculate billing correctly according to payments

Live chat is non existent, WhatsApp just as useless. Call centre the worst expect wait time of 20min plus sometimes being dropped once you are "helped"

Oh and no email address to reach them either they removed it a year ago. They can fuckoff my last month with them.

Not helping

Hi, MWeb. I am very disgusted in your guy's service. I phoned you on the 10th to the retentions department. The 10th was the second time I had to call you because a week prior to that, I asked for someone to give me a call to about getting a promotion. And it took a week to get through. Once I got through to retentions, the guy promised that the promotion will be loaded within five days, I'll get a confirmation email, and everything will be sorted. From the 10th, I phoned back again afterwards, asking why I got billed incorrectly. They billed me extra, they never billed me the promotional price. And then every time I phone to try and get through to retentions, I can't get through to retentions. This is such a hard thing to get through to MWeb retentions, and their service is really uttermost right, disgusting. They treat the customer like they're not considering a customer. They're not worth it. But if you want to cancel, you get hit with penalties, you get hit with this, but they can't keep to their contracts. Can you please compose us an email so I can send it to MWeb for retention?

Simply one of the worst services in South Africa. Called multiple times, was on the phone for an hour with no answer. Used your useless App and got no help. I have been without internet for over a week. You are quick to call when it comes to payment but you do not do the same when customers needs support. Get it together please. STAY FAR AWAY FROM MWEB!!!

Mweb is rather quick to increase the price for their services, or should I say lack of services. Getting through to their call centre is a mission. Every time there is an issue with the fibre we get disconnected on Mwebs side once the fibre service is restored. Getting through to their call centre to reconfigure our internet service is a mission due to their lack of technical knowledge and support. You can wait hours before you speak to one of their agents who doesn’t feel any remorse for hanging up on you before resolving your issue. That means joining the caller queue once more which could take hours before your call is attended to. Avoid this sham company at all costs. They run a Mickey Mouse operation. You can go on for days without connectivity, yet they continue to bill you in full.
