Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy
Wow. How easy was that! Just submitted my VAT return with MTDsorted. I've been using Quickbooks for my payroll and VAT submissions, paying over £31 a month. Now found a new payroll software for £6 and using MTSsorted free software for the VAT is the icing on the cake!
Couldn't be more satisfied.

Great for submitting MTD VAT without the need to download add-ins (which are not compatible with non-windows machines).

The Simple Solution We Needed
Having tried Quick Books as the means by which we could become MTD compliant I quickly remembered why I had always hated off-the-shelf accounting software. Not at all intuitive and almost certainly designed by people who have never actually run a small business. The MTDsorted solution is exactly what we needed and has enabled us to stay with the Excel system that has served us well since the 1990s. Highly recommended.

A very easy to use process to file my vat return. Once you have initially signed up with Making Tax digital they inform you exactly when to submit your vat return & if like me you keep records of invoices/receipts on excel spreadsheets & work out how much vat to pay/reclaim it's very simple to input the figures & it's free! Win win.

Why use anything else?
It is great that MTD sorted are around. My digital VAT submission is simple and easy to make without incurring expense. Commendable!

Simple, quick and easy
Simple, quick and easy.
The initial setup takes a little time due to the Government Gateway, not MTD's fault.
I'm not aware of an easier way to jump through HRMC's Making Tax Digital hoops :-)

So far so good
Used it once only so far, very easy and smooth, beats paying for a monthly subscription when my software (outright purchase years ago) is more than adequate, so to save £60 pcm i just have to enter a few figures once a quarter, no brainer
